I have a few questions concerning the state of Support Vehicles and Retro tech Mechs and Aerospace Fighters in the 3100s/32nd century. I am not sure if these are stupid lore questions or not so bare with me.

Is Retro tech/primitive components and Support Vehicles still produced or in use in the inner sphere or periphery by 3100s?

If so who uses them or makes them mainly?

Are there niches for primitive mech and aerospace fighter technology still within the recent eras?

I boiled my questions down to three key ones for the sake of simplicity. I want to(hopefully) use these kinds of units in recent eras and just wanted to know if it was possible to do so.

I think the Marian Hegemony, Rim Collection and New St Andrew actually still build Retrotech Mechs though only those. The Hegemony builds actual Aerospace fighjters and "modern" tanks. Though according to FM 3145 the Collection builds actual Battlemechs now (Locusts, Wasps and Stingers).

In a way they might have a use but more as Militamechs or perhaps GuardMechs for companies who don't want to buy modern Battlemechs. After all according to the lore you need less resoruces, the tech is less advanced so you don't need sophisticated factories or a highly trained work force

Everybody uses Support Vehicles, and likely always will. Every military has jobs that either don't call for an expensive full-on combat vehicle, or that a combat vehicle simply cannot do.

EDIT: For convenience, here is a list of every Primitive Mech or Fighter in use in either the Dark Age or IlClan eras.

And here is a list of every support vehicle in use in those same eras.

RetroTech mechs make more sense than ASFs, I would say. Mechs are honestly pretty forgiving in terms of patching one up and getting it back on its feet. Fighters have a knack for being completely totaled after one screwup. The only scenario where I could see someone actually using RetroTech fighters is where you're so deep in the Periphery you don't have to worry about running into anything that was designed in the past 700 years.

Strike first. Strike hard. No mercy.
