I know Assault 'Mechs (well, Size 4 'Mechs) can go in the Heavy Battle Lance, but the last sentence of the Heavy Battle Lance Variant Requirements specifies two pairs of Size 3 vehicles. Roger that I can only bring 4 vehicles, and they must divide into two pairs of identical vehicles (so 1 in 2 pairs or 2 types of vehicle with one pair each, no more).
My question is whether or not Size 4 vehicles can be put into Battle Lances, given that the rest of the formations seem to follow the 'Mech requirements insofar as Size goes, and the lance options for Size 4 Vehicles are limited, even in vehicular assault companies (Assault Lance, Support Lance, Command Lance, and a scattering of other vehicles in other lances).
