I would love to be able to remotely fire the SRM carrier,
tuck the crew in a building, watch via wired connection,
leave unit camoed as a UPS truck or a taco truck, whatever works
someone stumbles into view, booom!!
this mighty actually work for a few turns before the carrier gets gutted
but the crew most likely survives and gains experience for future fights

I designed remotely operated trailers that were to be parked among debris or appear as barricades; The LRM version was armed with 5 LRM15s and was meant for airfield defense, linked with three others to a Partisan for fire control. The SRM variant was a street denial battery, with a whopping 9 SRM6s.

Maybe you have better results with Rocket-Launchers: RL-10 is my favorite because it is lighter and longer range.

By coincidence I have played this weekend in Urban Warfare scenario. I had the option to hide one combat unit in the buildings. I did so with a SRM Carrier. An unfortunate Warhammer crossed its way and was destroyed in a single turn by 44 SRMs that hit (we have rolled each of the 10 SRM6 and the individual locations).

SRMs are very efficient in close combat.
