Trying to get into BT, and having seen what is available is a little overwhelming to say the least. More specific, Alpha Strike Commander's edition and AS Companion. Is there a difference between them/one better than the other? Or does it matter which one I get/start with???

Alpha Strike Commander's Edition is the current Alpha Strike rule book. Companion is an older addition to the first edition AS. It is no longer required and not compatible with Commander's Edition.
