Here's a link to the specific post (since I just realized we're a few pages away from the original link to the story thread):

I had not gotten to that thread yet...

Skinner is sure they'll be able to offer the Renegades the engine from the Hermes (it fits the Phoenix Hawk).  The trick will be burying the swtiches in the list of stuff they're asking for in return.  I'm open to ideas for that...  ^-^

More detailed list of what's at OLF Skinner:

300 tons of toilet paper (600 pallets)
100 tons of SLDF rations (all reboxed "omelettes")
80 tons cleaning supplies
20 tons of bedding (in sealed containers)

1 Ares Mark V Landing craft without landing gear (and pretty extensive damage to the belly) and all weapons stripped
1 SB-27 ASF with no weapons or engine

1 Heavy Fire Truck
2 Light Fire Truycks
2 Fuel Trucks
4 runway maintenace vehicles (2 scrapers/sweepers and 2 sprayers)
1 jeep (just like the ones Al Mazrea has been using)

Empty vehicle cubicles for a Heavy Recovery Vehicle and a Light flatbed truck

Ok, so extra food (more mouths to feed, you know), lubricants and the aforementioned ABTs... what else might possibly add up to the value of a replacement engine for the wife of the neighboring commander?  Good will only counts for so much...  ^-^

Several 55 gal. drums of peanut butter, pressurized to preserve?

A couple of crates of sealed, non-salted, unleavened blue corn crackers?

Several spools of industrial grade chains, large links... { Ship anchor size ones )?

An ancient signed Pete Rose baseball form Terra! no less...

Power packs, batteries and the like? All rechargeable of course. You can never have enough energy storage, and the Star League stuff probably does it better than their modern equivalent.

How about actual conventional aero parts? I mean civie jobs likely laying around in a sealed bay?

Something bushy related... Bay was sealed because they thought they were coming back and while the liquids were drained, the parts are still good.

Looking for the odd ideas
The Pallet of Extreme Cold Weather Gear that Star League Logistics Command, shipped out to here.

1 Mark 42 KEYAPP Portable Mechanical Cipher Machine - Stored in a 2 piece plastic shell that is padded with a molded shock-absorbing foam, water resistant black rubber transit case.   Star League era 2650.

A pallet with a disassembled No Body is sure.  (think of those horror stories about what people can disassemble but never get back together, now add 2 or 3 items together and mix the parts up)

1 Goverment issue trunk, contents - the Base "Kitchen" junk drawer

1 Suitcase style traveling bag - has 10 handcrafted Jambiya Daggers, tooked away in a closet

What about a Squadron of Voidseeker drones, quad interceptor and dual striker? With ARTS bays, all in sealed condition, just awaiting activation codes. The command booth is behind a sealed door, several levels down under a flooded part...

Just to be clear, I'm trying to pad the Wolf Skinners' ask to Renzi's Renegades, not the Star League leftovers (which are already posted).  The Wolf Skinners have a 270 rated engine (with one engine hit) salvaged from the Hermes.  That will fit the Renegades' Phoenix Hawk (which just happens to be piloted by a certain Sara Renzi).  Offering to trade THAT for 3 DropShip switches would be MORE than suspicious.  Skinner's goal is to bury the three switches in a sufficiently anodyne list they don't stick out.  So the goal here is to come up with a reasonable list of stuff that would equal a Phoenix Hawk engine where such things are literally unobtainable.  I'm looking for possible 'mech spare parts, weapons, etc. with the expectation that Renzi will try to negotiate.  So aim a little high, but not Star League high...  ^-^

Oh...

Then I  that case asking for one straight out and burying the other two is a possible route.  What is a switch that's the equivalent to afore mentioned?

Try to think of things Renzi might be assumed to have (after a decade on Astrokaszy) that he'd be willing to part with in exchange for a spare engine his WIFE would need...  8)

And to actually answer that last question, these are switches standard on DropShips for at least 600 years now...  ^-^

A question, these switches, besides a dropship what else are they used in?

Sorry I thought you were looking for stuff the SL left behind.

Here something:
functional maps marking safe and unsafe "water supplies"

Blood stores, medications for infection, fresh water stores, distilling tablets, water reclamation/recycling, fresh vegetables/fruits, replacement farming implements and seedlings to replace that which was lost on the jeep.

OK, the list so far:

Lubricants (let's say two jerry cans)
Food (half a ton)
Three ABTs
5 meters of chain
50 meters of cable
Farming tools (half a dozen)
A reverse osmosis filter (or two)
Another bag of seeds
Half a dozen standard power packs

All in return for a 270 rated fusion engine with one engine hit.

I think we're still a little low.  How about a Medium Laser, and maybe a Heat Sink?

Feminine hygiene products?

Not something BT has focussed on a lot so far, but something that the wife of the commander (for whose mech the engine is meant anyway) would definitely understand the importance of.

For that matter... contraceptives.

The Doc did ask for some of those... it hasn't really been long enough for any local bugs to assert themselves, but I suppose he is running low on preserving sleeves.  I'll throw two of those on the list.  Thanks!
