As for Finland, it's a pretty part of the world. Not cheap though,
that and the language sheesh hehe. But heck the great outdoors,
clean air and water are awesome. Thank goodness for living in a
Swedish speaking locale :p

Good to see you again Rorke, even if it's just down here instead of topside. Completely understandable, though.

In other, non-Battletech related news, if anyone here is into Eldrich horror, I've got to promote Old Gods of Appalachia. I'm not huge into that genre, but it's a podcast done right by some close friends of mine.

The fact that I'm one of the upcoming characters and my family is deeply interwoven into the story doesn't hurt either, ya know? So give it a try if you're taken with that kind of thing.

I just wanted to salute the FedSuns patriotism of our KS backers. Out of the 55 pilots in Champions of the IS I 20 are explicitly FedSuns/FedCom. We can probably claim a few of the Steiners based on character year/context. Excellent representation!

I dig the Caesar art Loyalist, always been inordinately fond of that mech. Served
me well for long range sniping, back in the 3050s. Pair one with a Jager, plink away
at Lokis and Thors. Often came out more successful, than people would imagine.

That doesn't surprise me. Thors are nowhere near as fragile as Lokis, but even they're not tanks, with few if any locations able to take multiple heavy hits from the guns a Caesar carries before losing. Couple that with the sheer number of AC clusters an upgraded Jager can put out, and a Thor that can't close under some minimums(ah, irony) stands a good chance of getting critted out, and a Loki is in serious trouble if it has no buddies to draw some fire.

Wouldn't surprise me if this combo was part of the impetus for the Night Gyr.

I used to use the 3050 era Marauder D for Thor's, it usually came out
decently. I think we forget how badly armoured the original Omni's
were, in comparison to later models. The Night Gyr I've never fought,
but I've no doubt it'd have been more of a challenge.

Fortunately my regular opponent, took an interest later in playing
Liao. So I had new challenges to overcome, but so had he. I still
recall fondly, his first meeting with a Jagermech 7F.
