Correction, I will be playing. Since I am playing, i'll be utilizing my Griffin, LRM Infantry(With goblin), LRM Carrier, and vedette(NETC variant). I just need to borrow models for the infantry and the vedette.

correct they are to see her big day.

A couple of klicks outside of Camp Haken two groups of men will be watching the camp. They will be setup on different sides of the camp. Well camouflaged and watching. The group watching the west will spot a vehicle heading to the camp.
“Two to One have a V moving west to east.”
“Roger Two, if it takes the road to camp stop it.”
“Roger One.”
The vehicle turns on to the road that will take it to Camp Haken. The driver presses the accelerator and it picks up speed.
“Two to One looks like we got a speeder.”
“Show the driver how we feel about speeders.” Switching channels. “One to Joō four you are on.”
“Two to one, on the way.” The vehicle swerves to the left hard and goes into the dirt at the side of the road.
The vehicle comes to a full stop and a squad of jump troops are arching in to land next to it. One member gets to and opens the driver door another does the same on the passenger side, weapons ready. The driver is still stunned from the bouncing around he just took. From the trooper on the driver’s side. “Seeding and not wearing a seatbelt. This is just not your day.” He will pull the driver out. The others will check over the vehicle.
“One to Two nice. Keep your eyes open we may have more.” Switching channels. “Joō four get that clear.”
‘Roger one.” The troopers pull the driver further off the road.
“Gunsho we got party favors.” The Go-cho looking into the trunk. “Some grenades, a rifle and a bunch of mags, looks like this one was not happy about not getting an invite.”
“Well the boss lady will want to have a talk with him. Get a transport and get him out of here.” Looking over the vehicle. “Get that tire changed and get this thing out of here too.”
A small hover truck shows up. Three people get out, one get into the vehicle the other take the drive and put him in the back of the hover truck they drive off. One stays in the back of the truck and start checking his ID. They Jump troopers bounce.

Time for part three:

Aboard Anya's Goblin:

"Thank you for your assistance, gentlemen."  Anya thanked the militia soldiers after hearing their report.  "I'll make sure the Colonel hears about your efforts once he finishes his speech."
"Think we should send back-up, ma'am?"  Anya's driver asked.
"No."  Anya replied.  "It would raise suspicion.  Besides, the Colonel is just getting to the good part."

Back to Euron:

"Recently, the Ironborn have acquired three new 'Mechs for our unit, bringing it up to company-level.  And for the past few weeks, we began a series of pilot trials and mock battles to determine the pilots who would fill these new positions.  Most recently, the press happened to stumble upon the last stage of these contests, causing us to move up our schedule to reveal these new pilots to the world.  It is for this purpose that I announced to the press of this ceremony tonight, so that the Ironborn may present our newest Mechwarriors to you all.  It is my honor and pleasure to present them to you now."

At this, a march starts to play from Boom Box.  As the music blares, three neurohelmeted people step out of the 'Mech bay and stand on the stage in front of Euron.  As one, the three remove their helmets, revealing the faces of the Ironborn's new Mechwarriors.

Euron continued.  "First, I would like to present Asha Greyjoy and Theon Greyjoy.  They are the children of the late leader of the Ironborn, Balon Greyjoy and our own Major Alannah Harlaw.  Asha has chosen to pilot our Falcon Hawk 'Mech and Theon our Grand Dragon.  While they are inexperienced, both received the highest scores in our pilot trials and stand ready to prove their mettle in combat.  As is tradition, Theon is to give his 'Mech a name, and he has chosen the name Tetsu no Daiouika, which I've heard, roughly translates to Iron Giant Squid or Iron Kraken  A fitting name to honor the ancestors of the Greyjoy family."
Turning to the third pilot on stage.  "Next, I present Jurgen Blacktyde.  He is a veteran of Operation : GUERRERO and is the head of the Blacktyde family as well as the older brother of our own Hammer pilot, Lieutenant Stygg Blacktyde.  For his 'Mech, Jurgen has chosen our Guillotine.  May he continue to show the same dedication that he showed on those terrible battlefields so many years ago."

"Last but certainly not least, we have one last addition to the Ironborn's Mechwarrior corps."
As he said this, the Grand Dragon began to move, causing some gasps of surprise from among the audience.  The 'Mech, painted in a flat black primer, slowly walked up before coming to a full stop just behind the stage.
The pilot emerges from the cockpit and climbs down the handholds on the 'Mech to stand in front of the Grand Dragon.  The pilot's neurohelmet is adorned with a red phoenix painted above the visor.  The pilot removes her helmet, revealing the face of a Japanese woman in her mid-20s with short dark hair.  More hushed noises are heard from the crowd.  Two of the guests in particular react with pride and barely concealed emotion.
"Allow me to introduce Fuka Hiyami."  Euron continued.  "Unlike the other members of the Ironborn, she is not Capellan, but is, in fact, a native of Nejiro.  She is a woman born without the benefit of title, wealth or highborn status.  Her parents are civilians.  Her uncle, a former Kurita marine.  A graduate of Nejiro University of Technology near the top of her class, she has spent years maintaining and operating WorkerMechs.  Miss Hiyami has long held a passion for Battlemechs and has dreamed all her life of becoming a Mechwarrior.  Her scores in the piloting trials have placed her high enough to be given a special privilege.  While she has not been assigned a 'Mech for her regular use, I have instead granted her blanket authorization to operate any 'Mech in our unit should the need arise, including my own Marauder.  I have been informed that she will be taking the call sign Suzaku, after the firebird and guardian of the south of both Japanese and Chinese Mythology.  Fuka's presence among us re-affirms our commitment to the security and safety of ALL of Nejiro's people, not just the government we serve.  Know that the Ironborn will continue to defend this planet and its people from all threats, both foreign and domestic.  Of that, you have our word and our bond."

Kendo For Life
The Cyber Dojo Kendo Guide
Kendo Wisdom
Masahiro Imafuji

Issho Kenmei a phrase from the samurai world

Some Nejiroans say Isshou Kenmei and some say Issho Kenmei. What are they anyway? Issho Kenmei is not a kendo term, but more common in japanese. Basically what they mean is 'to work hard'. But let's analyze the words more for us kendoists. Let me analyze the kanji for Issho Kenmei.

[kanji characters]
Isshou is a lifetime

[kanji characters]
Kenmei is to devote one's life to accomplish something.

However, it is said that the origin of the phrase is Issho Kenmei. The kanji for Issho [kanji characters] means one place.

The kanji for Kenmei is the same as previously mentioned. So what Issho Kenmei means is to devote one's life to protect a land inherited from ancestors. It was considered to be a samurai term. Both kanji are considered to be correct. However I would like to see Issho Kenmei a bit differently. Issho is written as one place. It can also mean a moment as well. I always tell my students to devote themselves into each cut. What I mean is that they should execute each cut with all they have got without being afraid of getting hit, or not hitting their opponent. I, myself, try to commit myself into each cut and each moment. This can be applied to daily life too. When you are working, devote yourself into the work. When you are studying, devote yourself into the study. When you are playing a game, you should devote yourself into the game. Devote yourself into whatever you are doing at the moment. Many kendo sensei also say that in a real battle situation, we don't have another moment. Therefore, we should value each moment of our lives. That is why we should work hard as if we devote our lives into whatever we want to accomplish. Hope this helps you as well as it helps me.

Kapten Bjornsen sat at his desk, his head in his hands. "Damnit, what the hell was I thinking?" Marius muttered to himself. He raised his head, shook it, and looked down at the communique on his desk. "I'll probably be painting a huge target on his back, but I think Nester should get the big boy." He noted the name next to the unit on the paper, and scratched something out. His Aide stuck his head around the door, "Boss, you said you wanted to see me?" The Kapten smiled and pointed to the chair across the desk from him.

"Sergeant Tsuginori, you have been an amazing aide de camp, but it's time to move on." Kapten Bjornsen spun around his chair, staring out the window. "Sato, I think it's time for you to follow your dreams. I have put you down for training with the Mechwarriors. We have a few new units coming in after selling the Cauldron Born.  I want you piloting one of those eventually. If you accept, I'll need to find another aide. If you turn this down, you will probably regret it. You must live your life without regret. If you do that, I would be ecstatic. If you accept, sign the paper to your right."

Sato wiped a tear from his right cheek, and reached forward, grabbing the indicated paper and a pen. He signed the paper and put it back down on the desk, "Kapten, Thank you. This is beyond words. Thanks for giving me this chance. I just wonder what the mech jocks will think when I join them. After all, i may outrank some of them, even if I'm not as senior as them. If you want to demote me, I understand."

The Kapten shook his head and he turned around, "You earned that rank, even if it wasn't as a Mechwarrior. If the others give you a problem, let Tyr or me know. We'll take care of it. I think you'll appreciate the mech we chose for you." He reached across the desk and gave Sato a handshake. "BE proud. very few people get a chance to chase their dreams, like you are right now. Oh. One last act for you as my aide, Have Bondsman Nester sent to my office as soon as you can. Take the rest of the day off after that."

Correction, I will be playing. Since I am playing, i'll be utilizing my Griffin, LRM Infantry(With goblin), LRM Carrier, and vedette(NETC variant). I just need to borrow models for the infantry and the vedette.
I just looked at the sheet for the griffin. I'm going to send the Kyudo instead. If you have a Kyudo, i'd like to use it. If not, i'll proxy with my griffin.

End of Part III

shadhawk-reposted the completed part three just in case you hadn't read the whole thing yet.

Now, to part four.

There was some applause from the assembled crowd as Euron completed his speech.
"Let us continue to work together to bring about a fukkatsu, a new dawn for Nejiro and for all its people."  Euron exclaimed.  "Our foes may be many, but we can overcome them together.  Thank you."

As Euron stepped down off the stage, the four new pilots followed behind, only to be swallowed up by members of the press who, no doubt, still had a great many questions.

(OOG translation note: fukkatsu is Japanese for rebirth or ressurection)

Aboard Anya's Goblin:

Anya laughed aloud.  However, the laugh contained nothing of mirth.
"Something wrong, boss?"  Anya's driver, Gao Feng, spoke up.
"I can't believe he went there."  The Russian woman rubbed her eyes.
"Went where?"
"That word the Colonel used.  Fukkatsu, meaning rebirth.  We used a similar word in the Confederation."  Banging her hand on her command seat in anger, she completed her thought.
"Xin Sheng."
This brought a look of realization to Gao's face.  "Ohhh.  Sorry, boss."
"My father and brothers died for Sun-Tzu's dream, now the Colonel is invoking it here, even if he is doing it in a roundabout way.  We're going to have to keep a very close eye on him."
"Why?"  Gao asked, worried where this was going to go.  His fears were confirmed when Anya gave her response.
"Because I'm afraid I may have to kill him."

Most of the press will be looking to get time to speak with Fuka. She will find that she is now big news.
Nejiro News 1 will have her talking for 15 minutes, Hilo TV3 will have her talking for about half hour. Tairiku Broadcast Channel News will have her talking 15 minutes. All the other news outlets will team up and get her for talking for about an hour.

After about 2 hours Fuka will get to hang out with her parents.

Bondsman Nester arrived at the Kapten's office where his ever present aide was for some reason inexplicable to Nester not present. He knocked on the door to the inner office and waited for Kapten Bjornsen's response. When he was invited in, Nester opened the door and entered the inner office. He walked formally up to the desk and saluted, awaiting a matching salute from the Kapten.

Marius saluted in return and sat down while motioning for Nester to do the same, "At ease, Nester. Do you know why I called you here today?" Nester replied simply, "No sir. No idea." Kapten Bjornsen chuckled a little bit, "I know you've been a bit of an odd man out, due to the nature of your employment with the company, and your lack of a Mech to pilot. However, that last bit is about to change. We've just taken delivery of a 'New-to-us' Mech that I think you would be well suited to piloting. However, you are going to need to train up and get used to a much heavier mech. When you are able to perform with this mech to the fullest of your abilities, you will be more accepted by Winter's Dream. I know you have questions. You may ask them now, and you have permission to speak freely. "

Nester sighed, "While I appreciate the concern for my well-being, do not assume that the attitude of my fellow mechwarriors, and other warriors of this command will adjust toward the positive just by piloting a mech again. As long as I wear these bond cords, I will be an outsider." He plucks at the two remaining cords, reminding the Kapten of his status visually. "However, that is beside the point. The main question I have is what mech do you have for me to pilot? Why do you feel this will be a good match for me? And on a side note, What happened to Sergeant Tsuginori?"

Marius smiled warmly, "Let's answer the last question first. Sato is going to be training, alongside you and the other mechwarriors. He will be joining the Winter's Howl permanently once his training is complete. We have a mech for him as well. Your Mech doesn't have Jump jets, and is a bit of a change maneuverability wise, but I think that you will be able to handle the transition best. It's a Royal variant of the King Crab. A KGC-000b. I think that this mech will serve you well."

Nester's jaw dropped open, "You have gotten a King Crab, much less a Royal edition, out here? What sort of miracle worker do we have as a quartermaster? I will work diligently to prove I am worthy of this mech, and your trust placing it in my hands. Thank you, Sir." He looks to be on the verge of tears, "I hope to kill many enemies with my mech's weapons, and to finally defend something, instead of just taking."

Kapten Bjornsen stands and says, "I know that you will serve the unit and me honorably and with fire. However, remember one thing. Löjtnant Mikelsen is your direct commander. You may have a mech that outweighs his, but he is your superior officer. I may assign you other duties once the training is complete, but that is for the future. In the mean time, study hard and hit the sims often. Soon, we'll get you into the cockpit of the real thing." He then dismisses Nester and walks over to the small wet bar in his office. He poured himself a generous helping of Mead, and swallowed it down, thinking to himself, "Wait til Nester sees what Sato gets to drive."

“This is footage of the interview I did with Fuka Hiyami.” The video will show Fuka talking with the reporter. “She is a local girl that has been working as a tech for the GSF unit the Ironborn. From talking with other members of the Ironborn she is both talented as a repair technician and BattleMech pilot. Miss Hiyami went to Rose Polytechnic were she got her license to repair WorkerMechs. She was working for Hilo Heavy Works when she got a shot at working with the Ironborn’s techs.” The video shows more of the Camp Haken event. “During her time helping the technicians of the Ironborn get the Grand Dragon they have she displayed her skill at piloting said BattleMech.” The video will show the Grand Dragon walking at the event. “She will now be given the job of filling in for any of the Ironborn’s MechWarriors when needed. This is no small task as she will have to be able to pilot any one of the units BattleMechs.” The video will switch to the reporter talking with Colonel Grayjoy. “During my time talking with the Ironborn’s commanding Officer Colonel Euron Grayjoy he informed me that he is very happy with the work that Miss … I should say MechWarrior Hiyami has done with his unit so far.” Showing some different footage of the event. “As you can see this was not a small event. Some of the people on hand were our Governor and her husband, other commanders of the GSF, members of the DCMS/DCA, ComStar and leaders from many of the Ichizoku militias and some of the Nijero Militia plus the different news groups.” Looking at the data pad on his desk. “With all that the GSF has done so far in just under a year one has to wonder what more they can do for our fine world.”

“Today I had the honor of going to Camp Haken to be on hand for what turned out to be a very big day for a young lady from here in Hilo. Today the Commander of the Ironborn, one of the different units making up the GSF introduced the newest MechWarriors of his command and one of them is a local by the name of Fuka Hiyami. She grew up here in Hilo.” She shows different video shots of the event at Camp Haken. “Camp Haken had many movers and shakers from Nejoro on hand to welcome the Warriors and show support for all the fine work that the GSF has done for Nejio over almost the last year.” She puts up video of when the GSF helped a Phoenix convoy. “Here we see the members helping a convoy that was under attack by marauders.” She switches to footage of Ironborn BattleMechs patrolling outside of Hilo. “We have footage that is very familiar to the people of Hilo. Members of the Ironborn providing security for us after bandits destroyed a large part of downtown.” She shows footage of the medics from the GSF after the explosion. “And who could forget the help the GSF rendered after this attack.” She next shows images of Caesar being taken away by members of the DCMS. “Here is when they stopped the pirate Caesar. He was wanted by so many different nations, corps, and worlds and it was the unit that our Governor brought to our world to protect us that stopped his bloody ways.” She switches back to video of the event at Camp Haken. “I got to speak with many different members of the GSF and found out that many look on our little world as a second home.”

Tairiku Broadcast Channel News
“Here is some of the video we took while we were at Camp Haken for the GSF showing the latest MechWarriors that will be helping with defense of our world.” The footage shows the three Ironborn Warriors on stage and the Grand Dragon walking out and Fuka joining the others on the stage. “Part of the event was to welcome local Hilo girl Fuka Hiyami as one of these new Warriors. Miss now MechWarrior was born here on Nejiro and went to technical school in Hilo. She worked on WorkerMechs and because of this work she got a shot to work with the techs of the Ironborn. She show the unit how well she could repair and pilot a BattleMech and she earned a spot in the trials they held to see just who would be the latest warriors of the Ironborn.” Changing the video over. “When I got to speak with the unit commander a Colonel Grayjoy, he told me how Fuka proved herself to the unit to earn this slot and how proud he is to have her as part of his command.”

Look at the sell swords talking big but showing very little. The “Colonel” of the sell swords Ironborn makes a big splash in Hilo. Tells all that happen to be on hand when he “takes in” what he calls members of Caesar’s Pirate Band and that he will have “Major” news for Nijero in three days and that all the press is welcome. First three days did not give many of the news media the time to get to Hilo. Second all he does is talk about his band of sell swords and shows off this little girl that is not a full member of his band of sell swords. He talks about how this little girl will be trained on all of the units Battlemechs and will take the field if necessary. What use will this little girl be to help defend this world? She has no combat training. She did not go to any school that could teach her. Even the Ghost’s that the DCA has out are better, but not much. Nejiro needs true warriors not sell swords or little girls playing warrior. People of Nejiro you need to wake up and see just what these people that are doing. They are not the ones that will protect you. Look what little they have done so far. This world needs true warriors to protect it. This world should have true warriors protecting it.

Shin no wadopuresu
Nejiro you need to cast off this false sense of safety you government is trying to cover you in. The mercenary troops that are the main line of protection your government has shackled you with is not protecting you, they are here to repress you. These mercenaries care for the money they are paid. If the bandits that raid this world are too strong they run a way. If they did fight the bandits they plague this world it would cost them too much of the money they are here for. They now try to show you that they are part of this world, how by getting some little girl with on training and calling her a MechWarrior. They do not give her a BattleMech but call her MechWarrior. They say she will be a backup for this band of mercenaries and will be schooled how to pilot all of the units BattleMechs. How is one little girl going to be able to do this? Easy she will not. Good people of Nejiro the true protection you deserve is here for the asking.

Fuka stood in the 'Mech Bay waiting for the Colonel.  He'd told her to meet him here, but didn't know why.  Even Julia wasn't told why she was here .  She knew the Ironborn were preparing to head out on a mission tomorrow.  Was that it?  Did the Colonel want her to head out on the mission?  Was she ready for that?  As she puzzled over it, someone snuck up on her and grabbed her shoulder, turning her around.  Gasping in surprise, Fuka was even more surprised to see Anya Tereshskaya in front of her, a frown on the stoutly-built tank commander's face.

"What are you doing here, pacing up and down like this at this hour?"  She asked.
Fuka fumbled over her words.  "Umm, the Colonel...he said that...uh, that I had to meet him here."
"Ahh, "the Colonel"."  Anya groaned.  "I have a feeling I know what he intends.  He plans to send you on the mission tomorrow.  He's laid out his intentions, now he has to go through with it."
"What?  What do you mean?"
Anya stuck out a finger.  "Listen very carefully.  He goes through all that big production proclaiming you a Mechwarrior with a blank check to drive any 'Mech in the unit.  Now, if he doesn't send you out to prove it, he'll look like a fool and a liar.  He's using you, just like a noble would,"  She said the word "noble" with particular venom.  "just to score political points."

"Exactly how am I using her, Anya?"  Said Euron, approaching the two of them.  "She chose to be part of the pilot trials.  She came to me, to us.  She proved her worth.  And now, you want to invalidate her choice?"
"With all due respect, sir,"  Anya answered.  "You think she's a warrior just because she played support in a few wargames?  She doesn't know what war is.  I do, and I have seen too many friends and loved ones die to see the same thing visited on another person.  She's a good tech and maybe a decent pilot, but she's no warrior.  You put her in combat, she'll freeze, and people will die!"
"Your opinion is noted, Sergeant."  Euron emphasized her rank.  "But I am in charge here.  And both you and Mechwarrior Hiyami are my subordinates.  Therefore, I will decide what is to be done."
Anya's face twisted in anger, but softened when she looked over at Fuka, she sighed, knowing there was nothing she could do to change Euron's mind on his course of action.  Turning to the younger woman, she said sadly.  "If you want to talk later, I'll be around."  She turned and stormed away.

"How much did you overhear, Colonel?"  Asked Fuka when Anya was out of earshot.
"Enough."  Euron replied.  "She is right about one thing, though.  I've laid my cards on the table.  And now I have to play them.  Come with me."
Fuka followed Euron to the slip that held Crow's Eye, the Colonel's Marauder.  "When we first met, I remember offering you a ride in my 'Mech.  Well, you're going to get your wish."
Fuka looked perplexed.  "I don't understand, sir."
"I want you to start training on her starting tomorrow."  Euron clarified, totally serious.
"You're...giving me Crow's Eye, sir?"  Fuka was astonished, but at the same time scared witless, as Anya's words came back to her before they had been interrupted.
"I'm lending you Crow's Eye."  Euron replied.  "I know she's totally different from the Grand Dragon, but they're in the same weight class.  You'll be slower, but you'll have more armor.  Also, you'll find that, even with your bad aim, you'll probably hit a lot more often.  Pulse Lasers and LB-X autocannon with clusters are good for that.  Lastly, you're jump capable, so things like dangerous terrain are less of an issue.  What do you say?"
Fuka was slightly relieved, but still very scared.  She tried to answer but couldn't find the words.
"I've sent a request to Musashi-sama."  Euron continued.  "I've asked her if Shiro could be your opponent.  I think he'd be the perfect foil to help your training along.  He's got a bit of an attitude, but it's exactly that attitude that will allow you a taste of what we're fighting against.  The Black Dragons believe only those of the proper bloodlines, and who possess the proper genitalia, have the right to call themselves warriors.  And the Word of Blake see everyone else as nothing but peasants fit only to grovel at their oh so holy feet.  It's still not real war, as Anya said, but it's closer to the real thing than what you've already done.  Believe me, Shiro can make anybody hate him in less than 5 minutes.  I speak from personal experience."
Fuka nodded.  "Yes, sir.  I'll do as you say."
"Good."  Euron finished.  "See you tomorrow.  And I expect her back in one piece, Hiyami."
"Yes, sir."

P.S. Obnoxious Twerp- two things.  1) Euron calls Grandmother and asks if Shiro can help the "old man" train a "little local girl" for real combat.  2) Theon and Alannah commission Miyamoto to paint the torso of Tetsu no Daiouika (the Grand Dragon).  Theon wants the painting of a steel grey kraken rising from the ocean grasping a Battlemech in its tentacles.

Hilo Public Library - Talks and Readings

Master Class in Leadership with Tai-sho (ret.) David Petras
Moderated by Dr. (Tai-sa ret.) Simon Mansur

'Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity'. That's Tai-sho (ret.) David Petras recalling the words of the roman philosopher Seneca.
During his forty year military career, Tai-sho Petras was widely recognized for his leadership of the organization that redefined and produced the DCMS counter insurgency manual and overhauled all aspects of preparing leaders and units for deployment in combat. He culminated his military career with six consecutive commands as a general officer, five of which were in combat. He is now a Partner, with the local office, of the interstellar investment firm KKR, where he is also Chairman of the firm's Universal Institute. Tai-sho Petras spent a lifetime preparing for the commands he held, including forays into academia earning a PhD, and distilled lessons on leadership in the years after leaving government service, which he will discuss during the interview.

The interview will cover the four core tasks that a strategic leader has to perform correctly:
Get the big ideas right
Communicate the big ideas effectively throughout the breadth and depth of the organization
Oversea the implementation of the big ideas
Determine how the big ideas need to be refined - and then repeat the cycle

The interview will also address:
What makes a great leader?
Who can rise to the occasion?
What can we learn from military strategic thinking to inform today's decision making?
How should leaders prepare for the next crisis, whatever it might be?
What is the 'surge' of new ideas needed to confront the current crisis?

Join us for this unique opportunity to hear from two distinguished former combat leaders on military lessons and their applications in leading large organizations at the Civic Center Station Branch of the Hilo Public Library Auditorium Theater, on Monday May 15th at six pm, tickets begin at twenty ryu.

“Commander you are telling me that someone just hot dropped forces across our world.” Tekeda is the phone with the space control center.
“That is correct. Going by the track and how they entered orbit. They passed over the three major landmasses and could have dropped units on all three. The pilot knew just how to get past our sensor net.”
“Do you have any idea who they are?”
“Negative. As I said the pilot knew our sensor net. From the readings we did get it was a larger transport. We also lost it shortly after it broke orbit.”
“Well from what you are telling me it does not sound like a bandit raid.”
“We have not had any bandit pilots us this type of force incretion.”
“So you thinking is this was professional or military.”
“Correct. I know the DCA and ComStar have used this type of force incretion method. I forced the defenders to look over a large area.”

“Cho-sa we just had the supply ship do an over flight of Yasei no Sogen and you are not going to like what they saw.” Tai-i Roberts informs his commander.
“Show me.” Cho-sa Westfield tells his aide.
“Well to start it looks like Word of Blake has reinforced the base that the Arkab were stationed at.” He shows the images to his commander. “They have added some heavy anti-aircraft weapons to start.” He brings up some more images. “They have placed weapons all around it and this is just what they are showing off. They must have used camo netting to keep the work under wraps.”
“That and maybe some help to keep the cube satellites from catching them doing the work.”
“A very strong possibility, we know they are getting help from some on world.”
“Well this is a good reason why they have not been so active over the last month.” Westfield looks over the images. “I will bring these to the Sho-sa and see what our next move is going to be.”
“Well sir just from the weapons they are showing off, hitting that base will be very costly.”
“”Yes and going in on land will be trouble. They have small outpost all over and with the locals working with them they will know any ground forces location all of the time.”
“True but a ground force has the best chance. The ADA that they have put up is too heavy for the limited assets we have in system.”
“Yes and with all that is going on I do not see the DCA sending us some heavy units to deal with them.” He picks up the pad with the information on it. ‘Do we have any good news?”
“We do, the three new packages are in place thanks to this over flight.”
“That is good news.”

Jack and his teams will pack up and get ready to head down to Kamploops so they can start to see just what is going on down that after what just happened with Kiah’s Hammers and the armored company they just intercepted. But first a quick trip north.

“Welcome to your new base of operations Sang-wei.” Jack welcomes Ching Shi and her unit. “As I said before it has what you need but it is not the Ritz.”
“How quaint caves.” She responds.
“No one will be looking for you here. It was only by a stroke of luck we found out that others were using this place.” Jack walks into the caves with her. “As you can see it was used as a training area. It has places for your people and equipment. Do take care that the only entrance that has room for your mechs has only entrance.” He points to the other end of the cave system. “My people have placed sensors on the trails that lead to this place and the HQ area has the stations setup.”
“You have done this for us?”
“Yes, you are part of our team now.” Jack looks her in the eye. “I think you may want some of your people on security also.”
“That is something I will be doing.” She looks around the place. “So do we have running water?”
“Yes, thanks to the people that set this place up. You also have hot water and a good cooking area. They did make sure that they could stay after all. They just did not think we would find this place and kick them out.”
“Well with the maps you have given us and the other gear we should do well here. So what is our first mission?”
“I will get back to you on that. With what just has happened I am not sure what we will need you to deal with first.”
“Very well, I wait on your call.” She looks at her people. “OK stop standing around. Get the gear stored. Set this place up nice we will be here for a while.” She looks at Jack.

On the flight to Kamploops Jack and his teams see the contrails. “Just great! Just when I think we might be getting ahead of things.” He picks up the phone. “Hi love do you still want my teams going south or what?”
