A Time of War in Kansas City MO Saturdays
« on: 30 March 2012, 09:35:57 »
I am in Kansas City MO and will be starting a game for Mechwarrior where you will make 3 characters of differing types; one Mechwarrior, one Tech and one other of your choosing. When you are injured too badly with one character or the mission profile calls for a different specialty the other characters will be under my control. you Will choose to make one character under Mechwarrior 3rd ed rules and the other 2 with AToW. The venue will be determined when we get enough players but it will be at one of the local game stores the one with the largest gaming room. This will be a campaign that is evenly split with roleplaying and battleboard action. It will be held on Saturdays from noon till 8pm. Start date is next Saturday April 7Th

Are you a gamer who thinks outside the box? Do you often wonder what it would be like if you could tap an economy of scale? Do you enjoy Alternate versions of Alternate History where you can possibly rule the galaxy? Then look no further!! We have those possibilities and more!! Join us for Alternate Earth Battletech where 10 meter monsters dominate the landscape. You can find yourself not only owning one but even being in command of a lance or two. We have fully functioning economies and Hedge Funds along with VAST wealth to be gained through conquest and contracts. Build a character with us and all of your Disadvantages gained through Life Paths count for full plus an additional 10 points taken after the paths. If you write up your character’s back story including contacts and match it all up to your Life Path Rolls then you get +10 points per double spaced typed page in font less than 14. You can take more than 6 life paths from stage 3 and 4 as long as your character is under 50 years old when finished. You get a +2 to all rolls the first time through your paths and have MASSIVE options for paths. There is also a bonus Merits and Flaws.
I can be contacted at emperor_winds@yahoo.com. Join on Facebook at Alternate Earth Battletech.

Battletech First Mission

You will be facing opponents who you will outclass for the most part. The first 3 missions will be recovery missions in Kurita space on the edge near Outworlds' Alliance. Three shipments went missing near there that were shipped via standard freight. The belief is that pirates took the shipment lucky for you the codes are really difficult to crack even with a code slicer computer so you will be provided with our standard codes for access to those mechs on the manifest for all three shipments. All mechs have a failsafe so that if the incorrect code is entered 3 times the fusion engine will come online but only for maintenance mode. Once this happens one more incorrect code entry melts the safeties holding back the fusion engine and it explodes, however after the second failed code the computer puts a warning out over the loudspeakers to this event in each major language of the Innersphere.  It also scrolls across the MFDs in the cockpit. If you succeed in cracking the code (TN20) on each mech you may use them to punish the pirates who have one company of mechs from the fourth succession war and 4 Sturmfuers. The mechs are on the heavy side of things with 2 lances of mediums 1 lance of heavies and one command lance with 2 Atlas D's a Battlemaster and a Cyclops. The pirates have a few other units in reserve so husband your strength. You will be paid a 1,000,000 C-Bill bonus for each unit you recover and 500,000 C-Bills for each dead pirate.

The purpose of the backgrounds is to allow a player to further develop his or her character beyond the traditional character generation rules through a system of Merits and Flaws. Each character receives 20 points to purchase Flaws you may then buy merits.

Looking like Pulp Fiction comics in Lee's Summit will be the venue since it has the largest game room I have seen.
