MekWars: The Wars of Reaving Update [Turns 1 - 3]
« on: 22 October 2012, 00:45:42 »
This thread is an update for the current campaign on the MekWars: The Wars of Reaving server. Events are framed on the Source Book's canon writings, though player input and events on the field may change the course of history as we know it. Events listed here are the direct result of player actions.

3070

Clan Blood Spirit
The hermit Clan has stayed true to its name, content to scour the Cluster for resources while fending off the relentless assault of the Star Adders. Though technically inactive militarily and on the defensive, this Clan is poised to become a major player in the days to come.

Clan Cloud Cobra
The Cobras seem more isolated and stoic than ever. Their presence in the Grand Council is all the evidence one would have of their existence and this remains a mystery. Inwardly, the Cobras are dealing with a precarious situation, having lost contact with their holdings in the Tanite Cluster. A task force is en route to ascertain the nature of the problem.

Clan Coyote
Londerholm was a debacle for the Coyotes as the Horses make their bid for precious resources and mining rights. The weakness of the Coyotes on the field has forced them to look inward, accepting the help of the Scientists and their Bandit Caste allies. A perilous fate awaits the Coyotes and much of their time has been spend arming the fledgling military of the so-called Society.

Clan Fire Mandrill

In the year of 3070, the conflicts raging in the Clan Homeworlds are coming to a boil. Clan Fire Mandrill is on the decline, having lost precious ground on Atreus and all but surrendering their claims on the Jaguar homeworld of Huntress. In the turmoil, the Society's join task force, under Clan Coyote's supervision, has gained a foothold on Shadow and is pressing the issue against the divided Kindraa.

Clan Goliath Scorpion
Content to wait in the wings, the Scorpions have followed the path of least resistance. Their military has become severely weakened with the loss of their enclave on Huntress, although time and patience will slowly rebuild their Touman.

Clan Hell's Horses
Although their second attempt at an invasion is underway, the Clan's Homeworld forces are making headway throughout the Cluster. The handover of territory to the Coyotes was incomplete by the time the Vipers struck; a mistake the Vipers will soon learn they must pay for in blood. While the Vipers see themselves as the spiritual head of the Homeworlds, the Horses are by far the most skilled militarily, and make consistent use of Combined Arms warfare to win the day.

Clan Ice Hellion
The Hellions have made leaps and bounds in their preparations for their invasion of the Inner Sphere. A lightning strike on Atreus has netted them a wealth of technology from the stunned Fire Mandrills, although it will be some time before the Hellions can consolidate these gains. Khan Montrose is making wise, though risky decisions with their Touman's resources; decisions which have paid off in spades.

Clan Snow Raven
Weakened and alone in the Kerensky Cluster, the time to flee is upon them. The Snow Ravens gather their martial strength to hold back the invincible tide of Vipers while their fleet prepares to embark on a long journey. Time will tell the Ravens' destiny, although their future looks bleak in these troubled times.

Society
The scientist cabal has begun to turn the gears of war, arming their machines and preparing for open conflict. They masquerade behind the paint and dress of Coyote warriors, but their heart has more sinister aims. Several new factories have sprung up in formerly-abandoned Coyote enclaves, churning out technological terrors and simplistic, easy-to-maintain vehicles. While the pilots of the Society are not yet on par with the Clan counterparts, their genetic research will soon close the gap.

Clan Steel Viper
Meanwhile, the Vipers are coiling to strike across the Kerensky Cluster. Fresh from their stunning victories against Clans Wolf and Jade Falcon, Steel Viper looks to become the most powerful Clan in the Council Chamber. A heated dispute between the Hell's Horses and the Vipers is coming to a head on Tokasha and Niles, where the unilateral crusade to cleans the Homeworlds of Spheroid Taint are underway.

Clan Star Adder
The Star Adders have begun to brood in their inability to snuff the waning life of Clan Blood Spirit, who is finding allies in the staunchly traditionalist Clans. While the Adders consolidate their gains, the Society uses the opportunity to make an offer to the Clan's leadership; a poison apple to tempt the Khans to the Scientists' cause. Time will tell whether the Star Adders take the deal.
