Found some free time and did some quick renders. What stats would you give this battlemech?

I have some stats of my own in mind, but I'm curious to see how others approach it.

As soon as I can, I'll be posting some renders with colors and textures :)

I'm gonna go with this

It looks pretty light and skinny - sort of enforcer build so I'm going with a medium
The blocky muzzles on the shoulders and right arm I've gone with LAC 5s
The things that look like laser emitters I've gone with a medium and 2 small lasers

It kinda reminds me of a Commando, so I'd start at 25 tons, give it 3 medium lasers, assume the little red bits are distance finders, and go from there.  Probably some jump jets, as you're clearly trying to imply something on the back.

I'll try to get to giving it a proper build later.

I wouldn't say it's so light and skinny, it's got thicker proportions than some assault mechs ( think Zeus and Banshee )

Oops,I used the proportions from the Highlander, but otherwise tried to make something original. You're right about the Man O' War, though  :-[

OK. Triple UAC/10s with two tons of ammo per gun, and triple ERMLs for back-up. 15 DHS, so firing all Ultras at double-shots is possible without heat build-up. 100 tons with 3/5 movement, XLFE unfortunately and no CASE but can't have everything. Compact gyro to enable that 15th DHS, final ton spent for C3 slave, though another ton of ammo might've been useful.

Of course, in practice one probably doesn't want to shoot at double rate at all the time, or C3 network could make shots more easy to land.

A HUGE jump jet in the back. That must be abl to jump real far.

The 3 weapons on the shoulders and arm look like ML to me. I would have put a SRM pack in the torseo, but that is me.

As it stands, A light mech of 25-30 tons should be able to do it, with a jump capacity of say 300 metres (yeah, I know). It is kind of a mech with a jet turbine attached to its back. So I would name it Rocket. RK-3T. The RK-4T has a SRM4 in its torso with a ton of reloads but it is less heat efficient since it needs to rerout the ML feeds and drops 3 heat sinks to do so.

Wait, damn, it has jump jet port in the back? Back to drawing board.

EDIT Modified version:
Reduced the shoulder lasers to ER smalls (as they seem to be smaller than the head laser in the render), scraped off some armor, removed one heat sink and C3 slave, installed normal gyro. This reduced mass just enough to fit trio of jump jets.
So, it loses some backup firepower and durability but gains considerable mobility.

I agree with the Commando sentiments. 

Look at those Legs & Arms,  its like someone used the Commando chassis for a custom medium.


I'm torn between 3 MLs & 3 SLs or go bigger w/ 3 LL's + 1 ML & 2 SLs,  similar to the LAC5 idea but more beamers.

No offence guys, but I'm not seeing the Commando vibe. Going by MW online, this thing's got thicker proportions than many of the assaults over there. Check out the link, it's got some updated renders  :)

Just look at it, the overall shape, it has similar legs, torso, & arms.   I'm not sure how your not seeing at least some comparison to the outline of the Commando.
