I received my Command Lance today.  The Orion actually looks nice!  Unfortunately, it doesn't fit in with my "plastic grey" unit scheme...

It’s a very fashionable color scheme for a lot of people to ‘paint’. Why I myself have probably 250+ mechs between my Clan and IS factions ‘painted’ in that color :)

Looking forward to Without Question tomorrow.

I've played with most of those mechs and the Warriors a handful of times. I enjoy the Blackjack because he's just friggin' obnoxious.

The Blackjack is also hilarious because if you do manage to close, you’ve fallen into his trap, because his four MLs are actually his primary battery.

my order is expected Monday ... so I presume it will arrive between Saturday and Wednesday, and then I'll get a notification it was delivered, lol.

You don't say! Well, sir ... my units (all of them!) is also plastic grey!

Just keeping it to two types of grey will be easy to follow, very helpful thanks. 

Any idea of the system behind that hull number? It [example: 90114638711] is very long, I think it has enough room for any type of platform in use by the SL. I guess that other SDS drones will likely vary in the last five digits..

Not that I can think of.  That's the only example I remember seeing, and it's so out there compared to what you'd expect I'm not sure how to reconcile it compared to other hull numbering systems.

And, yeah, the numbers are so small that I didn't actually even see that they were there until I was looking at the image to post it today.

The canon artwork we have for them doesn't show much in the way of markings other than a hull number:



I checked Iron Wind Metals, but whoever painted that one up for Camospecs chose to go with Word of Blake colors, which isn't terribly helpful:





What Camospecs does have, though, is a page for SLDF Fleet Asset paint schemes, which gives the verbal description and several examples, including this Vincent Mk 39:



That "light grey, dark grey and one other color" gave me enough leeway to go with something vaguely orca-like when I did my own M-5 Caspar:

That would be a Class B refit, but a formal Refit Kit would make it easier.

And I'm thinking a Blazer Cannon would fit perfectly on that chassis... ;D

I was thinking about painting up some DropShips and Warships as SDS Drones, but......

Which camo did those drones use?
Any specific lettering or way of noting hull numbers?
