The canon character Count Derrick Cameron-Jones dates back to the original House Books but has not to my knowledge appeared in a product since the FASA days.
He recently cropped up in Randals novella "Knives in the Dark" written as a tie-in with MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, where the name has dropped an "r" to become Derick. I initially wrote it off as a typo but the spelling has cropped up again in the game itself.
I know neither product is canon but I also trust Randal to generally know what he is doing, so is the correct name still Derrick or has it been changed to Derick and just not made its way into a canon product yet?
