"Spider, he is our hero" -- They Might Be Giants, "Spider"
The
Spider is another old friend from the bygone days of
Technical Readout: 3025. Or, if you prefer, it's the 8/12/8 'Mech that's worth bringing. (Sorry-not-sorry,
Ostscout.) It is also among the 'Mechs that got a facelift in
Technical Readout: 3085. If you'd like to learn more about using it in game, please see its
'Mech of the Week article.
The
Spider also has a slightly larger younger sibling, the
Venom. We'll include it here too so it doesn't feel left out.
The
Spider has these sculpts:
- The original metal sculpt for the SDR-5V (3025) model. (20-873).
- The beginners set sculpt (currently available in IWM's Recon Lance pack, 10-039).
- The plastic miniature released by CGL in the previous modern introductory box sets and in their Recon Lance Pack, presumably based on the beginners set sculpt.
- The sculpt for the SDR-7K and SDR-7K2 models (and presumably also the SDR-8R model featured in TRO 3085) (20-367).
Like many of its colleagues in
Technical Readout: 3055, the
Venom only has
a single sculpt (20-648).
