NAIS head researcher, after getting up, dusting himself off, and surveying the carnage: "Nice going, team! This time we almost made it through half a burst before the barrel imploded in on itself! (I didn't even know they could do that.) Okay, somebody clean up this mess and analyze the surviving scraps and recordings, then it's back to the drawing boards..."

Great, now I can't envision the NAIS being anything more than Mythbusters on steroids.

My wife writes books
"Thanks to Megamek, I can finally play BattleTech the way it was meant to be played--pantsless!"   -Neko Bijin
"...finally, giant space panties don't seem so strange." - Whistler
"Damn you, Weirdo... Damn you for being right!" - Paul
"...I was this many years old when I found out that licking a touchscreen in excitement is a bad idea." - JadeHellbringer
"We are the tribal elders. Weirdo is the mushroom specialist." - Worktroll

I now imagine a cute redhead gal with goggles, face blackened from smoke walking out and murmuring to a tri-vid camera.
"Okay good news, there is some potential for this high explosive autocannon powder. The bad news is it won't work under idea #333a-7a."

This lady's experiment became the foundation to the HVAC somewhere down the line.  >:D

And the Chancellor originally scoffed at getting the Death Commandos a decent cable provider!

It's not about winning or losing, no it's all about how many chapters have you added to the rule books after your crazy antics.

That explains the Blakist response to NAIS:  "When in doubt, C4."  Or in this case, orbital bombardment.

How many catastrophic failures of prototype AP ammo do you think are in the NAIS' blooper reels?
i was just watching IRAN MAN II yesterday with the fiance (since she said we could NOT SEE Iron Man III until we say I & II on the DVR first)... thinking about the "Meanwhile in NK & Iran and Stane Industries" portion of the film...  >:D I wonder how many Grand Dragons tore thier wire bundles doing 360+ turns on their improved Torso Twistings...
