Hello everyone!

This thread has been established to serve both as an outreach to new and old players alike, and as an additional resource to our already established Facebook group for organizing games and events in the Fort Worth area of DFW.

We hope to hear from ya, and see ya real soon!

DFW Battletech Facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/dfwbattletech

Current Meet-ups:
Y2Komics - Saturdays at 5PM until 8PM(ish)

Note:
This thread is not to compete with the D/FW MechWarrior's Guild, as they only organize in Bedford and Dallas, and is just to keep things separate and orderly.

Awesome! I think I'm in the Oklahoma group, but we never got any over the border raiding going on (I sadly lack the transportation).

No problem. I keep meaning to make a trip done to DFW but just lack the time that I used to.

All good, I fell off the map for about a year myself, but I'm back with a vengeance!

Speaking of which...

Next gathering is at Y2Komics this Saturday at 5PM, and we'll be playing Alpha Strike at 400 PV with Succession Wars Era 'Mechs.

So far it is just myself and Nick, but hopefully we can get more folks to turn up!

Had our third meet-up yesterday. A new player joined us and we had a 1v1v1 @ 300 PV each, no restrictions, using Standard rules. Nick won again (he's won the past 3 games now). XD

Forces involved:
Mercenaries (Nick)
Clan Wolf-in-Exile/Kell Hounds (Taylor)
Wolf Empire (Myself)

That stuff is gorgeous, I wish I could make your games!

That said, your pictures are way too big to actually see. I recommend

No one can compete with us, we will pummel you with puns if you try.
The Patton of wargame design, the Berg himself, is being immortally quoted elsewhere.
"Rich Berg once responded to gamers comments about one of his games, "I make this ****** up, so can you.""

"Back in MY day we played Battletech with figures made of LEAD! POISONED LEAD! And the only PAINT we had was RADIOACTIVE! Why, we lost at least THREE or FOUR dear friends every YEAR to BATTLETECH POISONING! But we didn't know any better, and we LIKED IT!
And we rolled DICE for HOURS to play our games! There was none of this plastic clicky nonsense! Our DICE were radioactive TOO! And we had to roll them for hours and hours and hours to track EVERY SINGLE MISSILE! Why, my some of my friends are STILL rolling dice for their last turn when I left Norman THREE YEARS ago! And I don't plan to move back for at least five years and it STILL won't be my turn! But we didn't know any better, and we LIKED IT.
These kids today."  --Jim Butcher, Dresden Chronicles Author
