I made a mistake. The pics are on IWM's website. GLORIOUS sculpt. Darn near perfect. And thank you to David White for the fantastic art!

Well Mr. Nelson better be at his studio producing more drool worthy battlemech goodness... [drool]

In fact, I think its only fair that he not be allowed to play Battletech or with the minis based on his artwork until another Primitive TRO is in my hands reflecting the ON1-C Orion, ACR-1A Archer, RFL-1N Rifleman as well a few others.   >:D

 :D

GNK, you've seen the pics on IWMs website, correct?

I wish I had a studio. It's really just an old desk crammed into the back of a common room.

I much appreciate the comments though! Don't get much feedback on Deviant Art (or anywhere else for that matter)... :-\

Looking forward to seeing a few of the GenCon early birds build up some 1C Thunderbolts.

I wasn't aware of a primitive Orion...? I would be jumping out of my skin if I got to tackle that one though.
The Orion is right up there with the Thunderbolt in my book.  {>{>

I wasn't aware of that, or the Primitive Archer or Primitive Rifleman...unless he's referring to the old Unseen designs? If so...then the Archer is actually the ARC-2R and the Rifleman is RFL-3N.

Ok...where do we find the info on the ARC-1A and RFL-1N?

You dont.

Yet.

They are listed in the Reunification War sourcebook MULs.

No official stats, specs and from the sounds of it, artwork.   I pray Mr. Nelson is given the task of creating the artwork as he's done so well with the other primitives.

The ON1-C is alluded to in the orginal 3025 fluff.  No LRM system, Class-5 autocannon IIRC.  I have my own theories/designs of its stats.

IAMCLANWOLF, The Orion is to me what the T-bolt is to you.  I don't think it needs any major re-work and the SRM-4 is in the LA, not LT!  One typo and whole slew of bad decisions and confusion since then.

To many interpretations mess with the Orion's classic slighty off center beady-eyed cockpit.  The original Ral Partha mini is perfection IMNSHO.

I hope there is another Primitives TRO in the works, and you (IAMCLANWOLF) are once again the artist for the mechs.  Was kinda hoping for a surprise at GenCon, but alas it doesn't even seem to be on the horizon. :(

I'm loving Justins art, and I know I'm not alone.  Most of the recent art that has managed to enter into my heart and make me wish for a miniature soon have been from Justin.

The minis are quite good.  Loving the Wasp, for sure.  Liking the BNC, excited to see how the -S model turns out.

I cautiously like the TBolt sculpt, although the torso looks a bit long compared to the art.  For some reason it reminds me of a reseen Marauder with the side torso shelves.  That being said, it's far and away better than the reseen Thud.  I think the reseen Thud is an excellent sculpt from confused artwork produced under difficult directives.  In any case, I plan to obtain one Thud mini and see what I can do to minimize the torso length and introduce more slope to the plate.

I agree that the primitibe TBolt does look cool but I have to also agree with the fact that the elongated torso of it does look a little derpy.  Overall is an excellent design.  Yes, I saw the IWM site images of it.  I have to buy it once it's been released.

Is the head on the T-Bolt attached or separate? The sculpt is awesome, just need the head on the other shoulder. But it by far is not a deal breaker.

I believe both the head and the launcher are separate pieces. Oh noes, you might be able to put them on the "wrong sides" ...  :D

I am such a rebel in that regard. I really think the latest primitives are top notch. I am a big fan of the griffin and banshee too. The wasp is solid. For some reason none of the wasp sculpts have really been high on my "must have" list. None of them are bad and I use them in games. Then again I never claimed to be normal either.

Separate (as is the missile launcher). It was sculpted with the possibility of 'accidentally' moving the head to the other side in mind ...

I was looking at my Thunderbolt today and was thinking that the missile launcher looked a little over sized.  I think when I get another one of these and the Thunderbolt IIc, I will take the Primitive Thunderbolt Launcher and put it on the ThunderboltIIc to deal with the fact that I think that launcher is too big and then put a Regular Reseen Thunderbolt Launcher on the Primitive Thunderbolt.  I now wish I would have gotten duplicates when I had the chance.

How the Hell did THAT happen?   :o  That doesn't sound right to me.  You guys that draw/design and sculpt them should get the FIRST ones of any Production run.   :P  You guys need to "Renegotiate" your contracts.  O0   Or "Payment Agreements" - whatever you call them.

The contract is called 'volunteering', which pretty much negates the possiblity of any official recompense. You get bragging rights, and the joy of seeing something you've created appear in physical form.

I haven't had time to assemble my own yet, but I did get a pretty good look at the sample on at GenCon. I can't speak for anyone else, but the miniature has pretty much replaced the unseen mini in my book.

When I get a second one, I might try modding it up with the little "hoses" and torso detail from the unseen as a TDR-5S, but only because it is present in the unseen art, not because I think your version needs it.

I will use this tread because my question is related to the thread´s theme, so, here it goes:

Is there any set date for the general releasing of the Primitives Pack? I looked in the IWM shop, but i could not find anything related to it.
