So you'll rent tanks that an kill your forces to your opponent?

Destro has got nothing on you. :)

I lose more often than not, anyway. Might as well get something else out of it. ^-^

I like the utilitarian look of the design. Can't help but think of Mr. Potato Head in BA or maybe Fisher Price's My First Battle Armour though.
It reminds me of the E-Frames from Exo Squad.

I had never noticed that, but yeah. In fact I can see them being roughly similar for the controls (minus the neck plugs).
Subtlety is for those who lack a bigger gun.

Never used them in Battletech, but in the Clicky game they don't die.  The Steiner ones from Annihilation are nasty when dropped from a transport unit.  I think they have the reflective armor gear, which makes them immune to energy weapons.  8 attack and 2 armor piercing on a non-unique battle armor is good for formation fire and capture attempts.

Bannson's Raiders version had point defense and could thus pass its 19 defense, high for battle armor, along to lesser units like Combat Techs, also lowering a mech's defense for that repair attempt.

House Kurita's had gray armor and was, again, immune from energy attacks.  It gained a ten attack before death, so late-game capture attempts where necessary for them.

Never really saw the Davion versions get used.  It was basically the Steiner one but it had reactive armor instead of reflective.

From Vanguard, the Liao version was lackluster.  Which, being a design from a nearby realm, you'd think it'd been a little bit better.

Wolf Hunters Ravagers where just another example of WizKids favoritism towards the any faction with "Wolf" in the name.  10" range over 8" of every other Ravager and improved targeting to prime it to its armor piercing.

Rasalhauge Dominion Ravagers, when dropped from fast transports, need to be killed or avoided at all costs.  If they are in transports, kill the transports.  They keep 18 defense through the dial and half of it is grey armor, again, immune to energy attacks.

Steiner got another Ravager in Vanguard, and these things are deployment zone guards or support pieces.  Every Steiner army around here has at least a three man formation of them.

And here we go again.

Using Advanced Armor the Ravager (LRM) finds enough space for a Light Recoilless Rifle, an LRM 3 and 8 rounds of ammo.

Not really much to say here. Plinky damage out to 21 hexes. Well armoured but can't really run. The Rifle is good against infantry, but the lack of speed means the range is of minimal use. Likely opponents will either outrange it or close on in.

The Ravager (LRM) is basically a sound idea to get a LRM 12 (or 15) onto the battlefield. Think of it as a very long reaching mind field. Unfortunately, as soon as the enemy is able to do so, they will come and stomp the Ravagers and that will be the end of that.

Not much ranged firepower, but still a lot more than normal Ravagers. I'm thinking of deploying mixed Centuries, possibly 2 LRM squads with three standards. Won't kill anything with those missiles short of fiat-level luck, but it will do a nice job of softening stuff up before bringing all those Rifles to bear. And I've discussed before how useful Standards are as IDF spotters, so giving the unit some organic LRM support seems only natural.

The LRM version strikes me as a direct improvement over the original. Well, given the more advanced armour (literally), I guess it is.
If given the choice, I'd probably go for a 2-1 ratio of LRMs to regulars.
The MRR is not a terrible loss in firepower if the missiles run out, and not at all when someone gets under the missiles.
I suppose you lack some rockets.
Savannah Masters are the Pringles of Battletech.
Ooo! OOOOOOO! That was a bad one!...and I liked it.
