I know the seat bottom in USAF/USN fighters goes with you in the event if an ejection, it is hollow and stores a survival kit that is in a vest or a bag with straps. Other things that are in the kit are water, food (power bar type, M&Ms bouillon), and a small fishing kit. The USAF used to have a small, collapsible .22 rifle as well. I can see a mech having a similar configuration.I am sure you could easily fit a submachine gun or a carbine (partiality disassembled).
With the fact that a guy could be shot out of his ride on a variety of environments based on the planet, I am sure the packing list would be modified during maintenance and pre-combat checks as well as being based on the pilot’s preferences. I would also think that there is something similar to a pilot’s nomex flight suit in kit also.
As far a currency goes, C-Bills will work anywhere but may raise suspicion depending where you are at.
