Instructions for download needed
« on: 19 June 2019, 17:00:17 »
I just saw in another thread that Solaris Skunk Werks could be off by as far as 10% BV2.  I have gone to the website and attempted to download the mechlab.  It appears to complete, then I click show in folder or open when done and nothing happens.  What are the steps to get this to work?

Step 1, download MegaMekLab which is continuously updated.

step 1 is to update java if it's not up to date. seems like a lot of problems stem from that.

step 2 unzip the archive into a folder

step 3 run megamek.exe

if it doesn't run from there... turn it off and turn it back on again?

It's not like some programs which do the download/install/authorization all in one step.  Download the ZIP, extract the contents where you like.  Install Java, or update if necessary.  Then run the program.  That's it.
Think about it.  It's what we do.
