Acetone.

How satisfying the sound of a gentle 'tink' when a glued-together mini collapses to the bottom of a glass jar filled with acetone.

Not... if that glass jar contained about a dozen minis at the same time and you have to retrieve those parts of that mini you just want to rebuild.  :D

I have to admit Acetone works really fine against cyanoacrylic glue, but if it is just to get rid of some old colors other products might work even better. Especially old chaos black foundation from Games Workshop can resist acetone in an astonishing way.

Aren't all GW paints acrylic?  if so, how can it resist acetone?
When it comes to removing paint, though; Alcohol and a toothbrush works without ungluing the mini.

Because Chaos Black spray (primer) isn't acrylic but acetone based color. Be it acrylic it couldn't be so good for priming because it would had weaker bond with miniature.
