I always liked Factory map in Mechwarrior 4. It is not cramped, but anyone could be surprised by a brawler.

I don't know how You played with walls. Did they block any line of sight, as per CBT rules where terrain occupies whole hex, or made something up?

The level 2 wall hexes blocked LOS, level 1 just gave partial cover. The factory walls have the level painted on them (some 1, some 2), and the Jersey barriers were all level 1. All walls were indestructible, mechs could move over them but not end their move on top of them.
