I just started getting into aerotech.  Here are the first two battles between elements of the 17th Avalon Hussars and the 5th Sword of Light.

17th Avalon Hussars Aerospace Squadron

5th Sword of Light Aero Lance

BATTLE 1
Summary: A lone veteran Corsair veers off to challenge one of the Kuritan Shilones to combat.  The remaining Corsair escorts the flight of Stukas.

TURN 1
The fighters merge.  The Corsair remains just outside of the Shilone's LRM range.

TURN 2
Davion wins initiative.  The Corsair is able to move into range for his paired large lasers.  The lasers hit the Shilone's nose and cause significant damage, forcing a control roll.  The Kuritan's succeeds in maintaining control. The Shilone's LRMs pepper the Corsair's nose and wings.

TURN 3
Davion wins initiative.  The Davion pilot is able to keep himself in range while avoiding any possibility of return fire.  Large lasers carve more armor off of the Shilone's nose and wing.

TURN 4
Kurita wins initiative. The Kuritan pilot puts more distance between his target, using the extra range of his LRM system to advantage.  He is unable to score a hit, however.

TURN 5
Kurita wins initiative. The Corsair uses some overthrust to stay within the confines of the battle zone.  The Kuritan fires another round of LRMs, this time scoring some hits on the nose and tail of the Corsair.

TURN 6
Davion wins initiative.  The Kuritan slows his momentum down to line up his shot. The Davion pilot uses overthrust to close range with the Shilone.  Both sides hammer each other and the Shilone loses his LRM weapon in the exchange while the Corsair loses a medium laser on the right wing.

TURN 7
Kurita wins initiative.  The Davion fighter's momentum carries him past the Shilone, which maneuvers into a favorable firing position to bring his medium lasers into play.  Unfortunately for the Kuritan pilot, his large laser and a medium laser miss, with the remaining medium laser doing minimal damage to the Corsair.

TURN 8
Davion wins initiative.  The Corsair has a considerable advantage now at medium range and the Davion pilot takes advantage of it, score more hits on the Shilone's nose.  There's not much armor left there now.

TURN 9
Davion wins initiative.  The Corsair scores a big hit on the Shilone's aft, destroying the Thornbush SRM-4 housed there.  The other laser carves into the Shilone's left wing.

TURN 10
Kurita wins initiative.  The Kuritan pilot takes advantage of the loss of the Corsairs right wing laser, but it doesn't matter.  The Corsair's large lasers nearly punch through the Shilone's nose and wing armor.  The Shilone hits the Corsair's engine, but the Kuritan pilot decides it is better to live to fight another day, so he bugs out, ceding the victory to Davion.

Battle 2
TURN 1
A flight of Davion Sparrowhawks move to intercept the remaining Kuritan Shilone.  They are moving at high velocity.

TURN 2
Kurita wins initiative.  The Sparrowhawks make the mistake of splitting their forces.  The veteran Kuritan pilot takes advantage and rakes his weapons across the rear of the lead Sparrowhawk.  The missiles and lasers destroy nearly 70% of the Sparrowhawk's aft armor, damaging the Sparrowhawk's engine and forcing a control roll.  The Sparrowhawk pilot fails his roll and goes tumbling off the board at a very high velocity.

TURN 3
Davion wins initiative.  The remaining Sparrowhawk leaves the area to meet back up with his flight leader.  Kurita wins the battle, but the Davions have successfully gotten their attack Stukas to the planet.

thankyou, that was awesome!
"I think it was two ninjas taped together to make one giant ninja!"

The First Proserpina Hussars were eager to fight the Smoke Jaguars, but the commanders assigned them to attack worlds held by Clan Nova Cat instead. They faced a hard fight on Kanowit, but took Mualang by winning a round of miniature golf. This obviously minimized further losses.
