Corporal: Those 25 Urbanmech Mechwarriors you offended last week on Solaris.
General: That's....unfortunate. Could you remind me what I said to offend them?

Point one: Animals is Floyd's best album.

point 2: banger can be a vibe--I hold that this is a straight banger...which is my contribution to the thread:
https://youtu.be/MJqNM9b8Vw4?si=s4PmX4BvfpWIBWE2  Sedov's Camp, from White Death, by V/Vm.  The youtube takes a few seconds before the linked track starts.

Animals is also a favorite of mine.  Wish You Were Here is tied with Animals for my favorites in the Floyd catalog.

Vibe and Banger have been repurposed generationally, geographically, and culturally on many occasions.  But that said, I won't argue it either.  Banger is a state of being.

It is, or it is not.  All else is a reflection of this.

Jimi is famous for covering Dylan's All Along the Watchtower, that's well known.  Jimi also covered another Dylan song, Will You Please Crawl Out Your Window.  It's on the BBC collection.  Another excellent one recorded live in the studio.

edit: This one's also a bit of a banger!

Dammit, Hendrix feels nearly as conversational, groundbreaking, and raw today as he must've in '67.  My current tune, however, is Fuguefat, by the Octopus Project.  https://youtu.be/jlL69EB9Xxw?si

try to pretend you dont want her to hear certain bands like if she walks in turn it off pretend its nothing
got my eldest to listen to classical music including mozart bach beatles glen miller band and others...every time she asked i said nothing you want too listen you pretend to hide it....just to have her caught by me listening to the stuff...and be upset that she is listening to it lol

she recently discovered polish warsaw philharmonic lol after i listen to complete set of vision of escaflowne...while pretending i did not know she was listening too btw she is dragging her sister into it too
another one is yoko kano of seatbelts both as musian composer and performer through her she got introduced to jazz lol
also got her hooked on maaya sakamoto lol but this one is something ill never tell her about and she just ripped my music HD for which she thinks i dont know about

last night she had her buds in and apparently she discovered cowboy bebop soundtracks...
you sure cannot out run death...but sure as hell you can make that bastard work for it!

Wish I had time for a concert!  There's a great nostalgic 90's lineup on tour, Weezer with Dinosaur Jr and The Flaming Lips.

I would actually be most interested seeing Dinosaur Jr out of those three, though Weezer is great, too.  Jay Mascis was one hell of a guitar player in the alternative genre as a whole.

I've lucked out on concerts this year, there's been a number that have been close or reasonably close to me that were bands I actually like.  That's pretty rare.  Great White and Slaughter are going to be at a local county fair next week, but honestly I don't like that venue very much (it's tiny and the local crowd tends to be really badly behaved) so I think I'm going to pass on that, but Halestorm is going to be performing at a local casino in October.  Surprised the heck out of me given that they're still actively making albums and doing stadium tours, yet they got booked at a place that normally hosts washed out one hit wonders.
