There's a thread for DC's Legends of Tomorrow here, and one for Supergirl here.

Really? Never heard of The Atom? Hawkman and Hawkgirl? Captain Cold? Firestorm? While these are not
Batman, Superman, and Wonderwoman, you have 4 Justice League of Americas characters, and one
villian for the Flash. Frankly, only way to have not heard of these is either: A) you only do the New 52,
or B) You are a Marvel Fan.

B for me. I had only heard of Hawkman before watching the Arrow, and Flash. But to be fair there are lots of Marvel heros that I do not know about.

So I do see the biggest flaw of the show.  Wentworth Miller usually owns every scene he is in.  But so do Brandon Routh, and Victor Garber.  And Arthur Darvill is not a slouch.  There are Nine main characters.  I suspect if they do a Constantine lead season 2 as rumored, the cast will be a bit smaller next time.

Hopefully, it won't hurt too badly for this year.

Other notes:

The preview trailer with Barry and Ollie doesn't actually take place.  In fact no Barry at all.

Waverider!  Per Degaton!

Gideon.  With a new voice actress.  Morena must have been filming Deadpool at the time.  I'll have to check next week, and see if they have changed her for Thawne also.

The previews show they alter the past at some point, and Stein's wedding ring vanishes.  A poosibility for a potential crossover this spring.  They change the past, and suddenly there are aliens on Earth, and an agency hunting them.  With the assistance of an alien.  And, her cousin in Metropolis suddenly being a thing on Arrow and Flash.  (As opposed to Barry meeting Kara via dimensional travel.)

Honestly, they should just go back 4000 years ago and kill Savage before he gets his powers.  But that's too easy.

Problem for altering history if they do it before the magical meteoroid.  From then until modern times, how do you track him if he stayed in the shadows?  If your goal is not to alter history, how do you remove him from the timeline when he is whispering in someone's ear?

Honestly, they should just go back 4000 years ago and kill Savage before he gets his powers.  But that's too easy.

That would mean major damage to the timeline. No World War I alone ... they cannot allow that to happen, because that would change the timeline on a major basis. I know, they are going to inflict massive changes, but the changes cannot have any effect on the timeline of the world as we, the viewers, know it. Since they already mentioned that he caused World War I and was probably involved in Kennedy's assassination, he has to be alive for those events or they wouldn't happen. Changing things in the timeline that happen after 2016 is no problem, though. We, the viewers, have no connection to those events. They can be disrupted, however massive they are.
So Savage has to stay alive at least until the early 2000s. My guess is, that they will kill him in 2015, just after Malcolm revives him. That way his death has no effect on either The Flash or Arrow and there will be no changes to history we, the viewers, will notice.

Yeah, honestly that bit about interviewing the doctor right before he was supposed to die makes a lot of sense.

Before they are done, they will put the body back in his office.  Where he will be found, and CoD will be indeterminate, since no one in 1975 has any clue about laser/plasma burns.

Or something will seal over the wound . . . but yeah, unless something we see in one of the three shows contradicts I think they will complete the time loop.

I wonder if they might delve into meeting the future Arrow, Flash, Black Canary & Vibe.

Ok, do I need to be watching Arrow and Flash into into this?  Or can it be a standalone?

I hope that it does stand alone and does not require seeing that one Arrow episode with same name to know what's going on.

So far, it works alone. Missing plot from before is explained in a short bit, so you don't need to see the Arrow/Flash crossover pilot episode. The characters are explained, too. Albeit rather compressed, which was to be expected by such a big main cast.

Obviously that's how they're going to do it.  But just once I'd like to see a time-travel plot that was about taking the threat out before it became a threat (without having a big epic fail that causes the threat to come into existence).

Also, I've got to say, Hawkman and Hawkgirl's flying seems to have somehow gotten even more fake looking than in the Flash/Arrow prequel.  And the last time I saw two characters with worse chemistry was during Attack of the Clones.

Old Ollie is supposed to appear in an episode (rumored).  Confirmed is they will be going to the late 19th century, and dealing with the ugliest cuss alive, that famous bounty hunter, Jonah Hex.

And lacks much of her past life memories.  So for him, they are soul mates, with 4000 years of history.  For her, this is still practically the first date.

Finally saw part 1 of the pilot and I thought it was ok.  There some funny spots but to be honest I am kind of on the fence about this series right now.  I was a little disappointed with what I have seen so far

The fact that she's still unable to remember he past lives means that this season is almost guaranteed to focus a great deal of attention on the the Hawks.

Which is a problem because I find them to be the least interesting members of the cast.
