When I tried, it said it wasn’t available.

I could watch the Disco one though. Looks like some rebuilding is needed in the future.

The Disco trailer seems to imply that crew was scattered after arriving where ever they ended up.  Star fleet seems ceased to exist.

Why does this remind me of Andromeda the television series..

She does look better with long hair to me.

Picard certainly looks promising.  I guess Star Fleet isn't living up to Picard's feelings what Fleet is suppose to be like.  Thou i think i'm bit puzzled Why a TOS Romulan Bird of Prey is flying around two centuries after it was mainstay ship.

in STO the origin story for romulan characters is a refugee colony founded by someone who took such a ship out of mothballs and used it to find survivors of the supernova. was the only ship they could get and they used it to pick up survivors as well as supplies for the colony.

might be something similar. the romulan empire having fallen on hard times, so you now have independent operators (re; pirates) running around in old junk like that.

The Disco trailer seems to imply that crew was scattered after arriving where ever they ended up.  Star fleet seems ceased to exist.

Apparently Burnham arrives in the future some time before Discovery shows up, but she's the only one who's separated from the ship.

Calypso is set a few decades after the era Discovery is sent to, and Craft's people were at war with a culture called the V'Draysh, who idolised relics from the "long ago", including Snow White and a Betty Boop cartoon. Michael Chabon, who wrote the episode confirmed that 'V'Draysh' was a syncope of 'Federation', which suggests stuff doesn't necessarily work out super great in the future.

I was wondering about the Romulan Bird of Prey in the Picard trailer. The loss of Romulus is a big deal for the Picard show and I wonder if they needed every ship for the evac of Romulus and its a left over "rag tag fugitive fleet" idea.

Some guys here seem to not play or read Battletech.

Why cant TOS Romulan ships (or any other ship for that mater) be used 200 years later???

So its like Andromeda then.  One Gene Roddenberry wrote, later someone else adopted.

Andromeda was actually the second time that basic plot was done. The original was a movie that Roddenberry wrote as the start of a TV series called Genesis II back in the 70s. But it bombed and CBS scrapped it.

I guess reset was a little strong. The season arcs that they have used. Season 1 Klingon War, Season 2 Red Angel, Season 3.....future no Federation??

Discovery was trying to get to 32nd century Terralysium when they headed into the wormhole, which is about 50,000 light years from Earth.  But with the Spore Drive they can get back to the Alpha Quadrant easily enough if they need to

I am wondering why folks are surprised the Federation is gone?  They were fighting to keep a AI from wiping everyone out at the end of Disco . . . did they give us a date for it to drop?

Nothing lasts forever.

The Klingon Empire almost died several times during TOS, TNG and DS9.
The Cardassian Union was wiped out.
The Dominion was utter ruined.
