In the last month and a half I've been dealing with an infection in my leg.  Fortunately the worst is over, but it isn't back to what I'd call normal.  Right now I'm only going out if I have to since I'm immunity compromised.  So I'm playing all social calls by ear at the moment.

I was thinking of lowering the BV limit from 12k to 10k a person; still have to have exactly 6 units though

Hmmm... sounding like 4 MAD-4As and two of something else...  Sarna is being annoying at the moment, so it will probably be a bit before I figure out what those are...  Probably Fire Javelins or something.

Thanks, I've mostly recovered by I still have a shade of red and while I can put a full load of weight on it, it just doesn't feel the same as before the infection set in.  Do I need to worry about what quirks things have for this next session?

FYI, just sent Jester the word that I Mrs. Space Cat has given the OK for a June game at our place (the 20th I think is what we're shooting for). I look forward to demonstrating how out of control my obsession with tiny metal robots has gotten since we last rolled dice.  Had to do something to kill time between meetings, right?

By that point I should have completed my 2nd Benjamin Regulars, my Star-League era company, my 3040 merc company, and several of Tinyzora's mechs. As I was given free reign on Zora's stuff I will not apologize for some of the oddball combinations, but the Highlander is one of those I've completed (in a more traditional SDLF green) if you want to roll it out for this event.

Most excellent.  Do people prefer turkey & roast beef sandwiches or Chik-Fil-A nuggets?

As a reminder, the format for the next game is everyone makes up a 10k BV2 list of exactly 6 units; you can use mechs and vehicles (no aerospace).  Markers will be scattered around the map that represent a vehicle or a mech, but you wont know which is which until you go to man it.

So be warned, just because you decided to bring Tomahawk to the fight doesnt mean you'll be piloting it.

I vote for sandwiches, but calories are calories in my universe.  I'm struggling to keep my weight up these days.  Now that WMATA has closed the TWO nearest Metro stops, the closest one is a 3.3 mile hike from my house (I can hike the extra mile in less time than it takes the free shuttle bus to drive from Ballston to West Falls Church).  Combined with the 1.7 miles from L'Enfant to work, that's 10 miles a day.  And all the gyms on base are closed, so not much in the way of strength training going on (not that I really have the energy for that).

As for the 10K in 6 units thing, 4 MAD-4As and 2 JVN-10Fs fit nearly perfectly, so I'll go for that.  Unless, of course, you'll give me an infantry squad or two for the remaining 18 BV to contest units we arrive at simultaneously.  Jeeps and trucks seem to be too expensive...  ::)

So quick question: do all mechs have to be stock variants of whatever it is we choose?

Either way I'm going to attempt to bring the most random crap I can. Who wants to see a Icarus II on the field? How about a Von Rohrs?

If there is an official variant of a mech, you can use it.  I look forward to seeing what people bring.

Just for suprise/shock factor, you wont know what the other people bring.  Everyone will be given a set of 6 numbers to then write down on the record sheets of the mechs/vehicles they chose.  When someone goes to crew a mech/vehicle, they will flip over the token and reveal the number on it.  Then whoever has the record sheet with that number hands it over to the player who found it.

As a way to help out, if a mech has any crazy weapons and/or equipment, write a quick rules summary on the back of the record sheet so that way others wont have to keep digging around in rule books.

Some examples of what I'm talking about are Bombast Laser, Radical Heat Sink System, Chameleon Light Polarization Shield, Harjel, etc.

Well that's triggered a terrible flashback to the plastic crack days. I haven't played a game of 40k in over five years and I'm STILL finding still in box kits that never got assembled that I packed away and forgot about.

I'm partial to sandwiches.  I'm not really a Chik-Fil-A guy.

Force built, i decided to not go with the BA.  Couldn't find a good transport that fit in the BV I had left.
