Kapten Marius Bjornsen was pacing back and forth in his office. His aide stuck his head in, timidly, and said, "Kapten, it's eight o'clock. Do you have any final orders for the day?"

Marius stopped his pacing, looked over at his aide and smiled, "Yep. Get me Sjalbrenna and Quartermaster Quist. I have a fun task for them."

The aide nodded and rushed back to his desk. He notified SjalBrenna and Quist to attend a meeting in Marius' office. "Kapten, they've been notified."

Kapten Bjornsen nodded to himself and said to his aide, "Take the rest of the night off. I can hold down the fort."

*********

A few minutes later, Quist powerwalked into the office, slightly out of breath. "Quartermaster Quist, reporting as ordered. What's up, Kapten?"

Marius chuckled and shrugs, "I have a couple of questions, but I need SjalBrenna here to help answer them as well."

SjalBrenna speaks up from the dark corner across the room from the entrance. "I'm here. Shall we get on with it?" Quist and Bjornsen both nearly jumped out of their skin, startled by the voice from the darkness. SjalBrenna moved out of the shadow and took a seat next to Quist.

After waiting a minute to calm down, Kapten Bjornsen speaks up. "Ok, so the Red Vs. Blue challenge. I want to send our best. That means the three squads of the 190th and and one team of a mechwarrior and a squad of battle armor. Sergeant Ketola and her squad would probably be best for that. Inform Mechwarrior Hozumi, Sergeant Ketola, her squad, and the whole of the 190th. We'll have a small company command competition. The winner gets a week off from kitchen and cleaning duties. If they win the whole thing, it goes up to a month, and a night on the town paid for by me personally." Marius smiles, "Oh, and Quist, get with Odden, he's got a plan to fill our last mech."

"Yes, I understand, Colonel."  Alannah says into the speaker phone.  "However, I fear we are fast running out of people to send into the field."

"We can't be spread that far."  Euron returned.

"I will see if we can fulfill the mission parameters for force organization."

OOG: Anthony, I need you to PM me with all the forces that are currently in the field.  I may have miscounted if I have any infantry units left to send.

Will sent you that when I get home from work

Hononoiro {flame color} - Phoenix Mercantile Fleet [Saganami] and their partners Neptune Orient Lines [Zakharovich] and Horizon Line Tradeships [Tikhonovich] Fleets make this their base for refresh, resupply, refit, and repair on the Jovian moon of Hinotori {firebird}. Hinotori is a large rocky moon one fifth the gravity of Nejiro with a thin but breathable atmosphere and large water ice polar caps. The Ryokosha Koichizoku {travelers} (the family/crews of the combined fleets) has residence and recreation domes (used by both the fleet and their dependents, and the marine personnel and their dependents) Sanfaia {sunfire} village located nearby. The Phoenix Mercantile Marines, as well as the Devil Dogs PMC maintain their own bases here on Hinotori. The Zakharovich Dai Ichizoku also has its own domes on the moon where they have a small craft shipyard Tora Zoshenso {tiger shipyard} that designs, engineers, constructs, services, and repairs escorts, close patrol craft,  shuttles, landing craft, and dropshuttles, and also services and repairs dropships. It is the headquarters of SanGun Kozan {tiger mountain lord mines} owned by the Zakharovich Dai ichizoku, that operates mines throughout the stellar system that produces and refines salts, ice, gas, quartz, aluminium, strontium, copper, silver, gold, barium, zinc, mercury, tin, lead, metallurgical coal, carbon, diamonds, antimony, bismuth, iron, cobalt, nickel, uranium, helium three, titanium, platinum, iridium, palladium, dimension stones, gemstones, and rhodium. Also located here on the moon and orbital facilities is Zakharovich's SanGun Equip that produces mining equipment and tools, drills, vehicles, exosuits, safety equipment and tools, sealed mining mechs and industrial mechs with adaptations for space operations and hazardous environments.

Iris Station is a spaceborne habitat, a joint project of NASA (Nejiro Air & Space Agency) and NOAA (Nejiro Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency), at L4 that houses the core of the stellar communication relay system and data center, and the deep space climate observatory which monitors space weather, gravity waves, and the solar wind. The station has two grav decks and three small craft bays. It carries a crew of approximately three hundred astronauts, scientists, technicians, engineers, meteorologists, space marines, and support personnel for revolving six and twelve month tours.

Golden Hour Shock Trauma Center is a spaceborne habitat that keeps a stationary orbit near the stellar system standard jump point and Shirudo. It contains dozens of state of the art medical bays which may also serve as operating rooms (with built in X-ray, MRI, and other digital and chemical imaging machines which may accurately and completely scan a person three dimensionally in as little as thirteen seconds). It also has standard surgeries, intensive care units, physiotherapy and recovery units, zero g therapy units, resuscitation units, and hyperbaric chambers. There are three grav decks, six small craft bays - with several dozen converted small craft ambulances, a five thousand ton pressurized cargo bay, and two docking collars. Its labs, in partnership with several Nejiroan hospitals, corporations, and universities, conduct medical and pharmaceuitical research and studies.

"Colonel, it appears that Charlie Platoon is available.  They're the last infantry unit we have at the base."

"Excellent.  Send them on the mission.  I'll let you select the rest of the team.  We also may have to go recruiting for additional troops."

"I'll put out the word.  Over and out."

Shirudo {shield} is a Pavise class space station located near the inner asteroid belt of the Kiiro no Hoshi 5467 stellar system in a station keeping orbit following its inner curve near a standard system jump point, with windows to Nejiro and Jovian, one of the few remnants in the system of the Terran Hegemony. The station has two grav decks, a section that may accommodate up to three hundred visitors and a public market, twelve dropship collars, and two cargo bays that have a combined capacity of two hundred thousand tons. The command and repair yard now functions mostly as commercial docks, repair yards with pressurized bays capable of handling up to eight hundred thousand tons, customs and stellar traffic control. Many of its ARTS drone fighter bays have been converted to aerospace and small craft bays (but not all), but its weapons and armor are intact and maintained diligently. It is home to a MAWS training facility, and has a detachment of Nejiro Defense Troop Space Marines and an NPO Celestial Patrol office.

Senhri-hin {booty} [the Devil Dogs PMC aquired it early in the Succession Wars era] a Snowden class mining space station mark one, located on the outside curve of the inner asteroid belt in a station keeping orbit. It has two grav decks, both pressurized and unpressurized repair facilities that are capable of handling craft up to fifteen thousand tons, thirty five small craft bays, several space capable mech bays, a cargo bay holding up to fifteen thousand tons, an NPO Celestial Patrol Office, and a contingent of NDT Space Marines. It has six thousand tons of ore processing equipment and maintains its weapons and armor diligently.

“Major Franks I think it would be better if both Colonel Grayjoy and General Bosche keep the major parts of their units at base. The GSF has too many units in the field and someone may get the idea that Hilo or Baja would be a good place to strike.” Elisio Tekeda informs the GSF commander.

“Captain Kai to all units I can see the unknowns, they are about 40 klicks out so we have time to setup a warm welcome.”
“Roger Captain, what do you want my platoon to do?” the militia commander asks.
“Have your tanks setup so that your LRMs cover the pad and give us cover fire as needed.”
“Roger that.”
“Sergeants Gordon and Schughart I will drop your squads to spot for the Militia Goblins.”
“Jawohl Hauptmann!”

“Welcome to Nejiro.” The customs officer reaches for the data pad. “Let’s see what you have we have today.” Looking over the information on the data pad.” That is a lot of cargo you have.”
‘Yes, it is for Heimdall’s Forge.”
“I see.” Double checking the information. “Everything checks out. Do you need any help with your cargo?”
“No thank you. I was told that all arrangements are in place. I just have to call a local shipping company and they will take of it.”
“Very well, enjoy your time here.”

When the shipment arrives on site the equipment will be installed as quickly as possible

Kiah forwards orders to Grayjoy and Bosche to retain the major parts of thier units at their base and be prepared to protect Hilo and Baja if our enemies try anything.

“Nejiro control this is Pegasus group we are home. Our DropShips will be groundside in fifteen days as they will be making a slow burn in to keep the hospital cases comfortable. They will need medical teams at the pads and the local hospitals will need to make space for the survivors. They are going to take some time to get back on their feet. We are sending full medical reports now.”
“Roger Pegasus. We will have the proper units on site when they land, local hospitals will be ready. Welcome home.”

“I want a full news blackout on the Pegasus trip. Inform all the teams that just got back and the unit commanders not a word about what they did. Also inform all the GSF commanders the same thing not a word.”
“I think that will be best. I will inform all the DCMS units that this does not get spoken of at all.”
“I know that my people will not say anything. And with Word units on world we have to take extra care as my task Force commander thinks it was them who did it.”

Nejiro News 1
We have just had reports of a raider force attacking Silverbridge. Units from the GSF, Militia and DCMS responded and drove off the raiders. We will have more reports as they come in.

HBC News
We have had reports of raiders attacking Silverbridge. We have been informed that GSF units responded and repelled the raiders. As we find out more we will let you know.

The Moro Sun-Times
Reports of an attack on Silverbridge are popping up and we are following them. When we have more information we will pass it along.

The Dakuu-orianyusu
Looks like the GSF is playing hero once more, we see reports of how the GSF has saved the people of Silverbridge from raiders. We will ask how can they do this when all these other reports of GSF units in many other places are protecting the people of Nejiro? How can they be in all of the different places at one time?

Shin no wadopuresu
More reports of how the GSF is looking out for the people of Nejiro. More reports of how the GSF is forcing raiders away from Nejiro cities. More reports of how they protect the people of Nejiro. But then how come a good section of Silverbridge is in flames? How come many of the people of Silverbridge are seen in these images running away from Silverbridge? If the GSF is protecting Nejiro why is one of its cities in flames?

“YO bro do you think the old lady is going to be pissed that we took the Venom?”
“She might be but if someone hits Hilo and people get hurt she will be more pissed. Besides she’s not on rock yet.”
“OK you’re the boss.”

“Sergeant Tyler to MechWarriors Jenkins, Sook-O and Hiryur I have a force of my Pegasus and Bandit plus a Pegasus and Maxim from the Hands. We should join up with the Donar in a few Mikes. Take up security for the rear. We will need to have command inform us when we can have the civies return home.”

“Keep moving, we have to get topside fast.”
“We can stay down here for days and they would not find us.”
“True but it is a long walk back and if we miss out ride …. “
“OK I get the point …. the food over this is not so great also.”
“So get moving. Make sure that all the toys are placed.”
“On it.”

“Duke I have I have Frau Hammond on the line for you.”
“Patch her in.”
“Jawohl …. Frau Hammond you are on with Duke.”
“Danke sergeant, Duke as it looks like you will be in the field for some time how about I meet you in Moro so we can talk.”
“That works, when would be good for you?”
“I will need to get a flight out how about over the weekend?”
“I can make that happen.”
“Good I will see you then. Dinner is on you.”

“We have reports that unknown forces are still operating between Fune and Bridges.”
“Have the GSF get units back in that area. Make sure that plant 2 has all workers in the shelters. Last off make sure both Fune and Bridges militias are in place and that the people are ready to shelter if needed.”
“Hai sir.”

“We will need to move units from Moro as they are the closest and not dealing with active problems.”
“Ha sir! I will have transport on site ASAP.”
“Have Duke, Talon Sergeant Hasagawa and MechWarrior Nakamura keep the units they have on site.”
“Hai. What about the others?”
“Ask Kishira Yang and Precentor Wood if they can join the GSF on this mission.”
“Do we need militia units for the mission?”
“I do not think so but ask if they can shift some units to Moro.”
“Hai. What about the units at Nakazawa Shiro?”
“Inform them to stay alert. We may need to shift them as well.”

“The group on pad two is going to Hilo. The group at pad three will go to Samar. The group on pad four will be going to Caellach. All the others are going to Yousai. Get moving people.”

“We have the area cleared and all the roads needed for your medical convoy.”
“Thank you all for getting things taken care of. We will be taking it slow so as not to bounce them too much.”
“The route we have setup will have you on the best roads we have.”
“Please see to the others and see that they make it to my estate.”
“Yes mam we have people working with your people on that.”

“The flight to our home will not take very long. When we land stay with us and everything will be OK.”

“The flight to our base will not be all that long. When we land our commander will meet us and we will get settled in.”

“The flight will not be too long and then it’s a short drive to the base. After we see the Sho-sa we will get you all settled in.’

“I think we will need to re-think some of what we are doing.”
“Why sir?”
“We missed that a large number of ComGuard, DCA, Ghost, Militia and GSF units have been off-world for almost two months.”
“I see, we spent too much time and effort with minor matters we missed this.”
“Correct. We will keep up what we have been doing but will need to keep our eyes and ears open to the larger picture.”
“Sir we are a small unit, we can only do so much.”
“We are Light. We can and will do much more than the frail!”
“Yes SIR!”
