Getting back to our discussions during today's game, there is a new Condor in one of the latest Rec Guides and I've seen pictures of 3d prints.

Just checked it out.

Nice little store. Parking could be a problem but otherwise nice new place.

The Myrmidon Medium Tank had it's front section gutted. Specifically, it lost exactly all of it's internals for the front section- no more, no less.

Just a little something until we get to play  >:D

"If I need to remind you one more time that you work for me you will find yourself in a very open space with a lot of the people that want to find you. I hope that I have made it very clear I will not put up with you anymore. You have two choices go and make sure that they do not come this way or just go.”
“You know I could just kill you right now.” His hand resting on his side arm.
“You forget that the others understand who they work for.” Looking at the others in the bay. “They know that if I die they do as well.”
He looks around and all the others have drawn their side arms and pointed at him. “OK you get this one. But you need to keep your head on a swivel from this point on.” His hand comes off the weapon.
“No it is you that will need to keep his head on the swivel. You have shown your hand and I will make sure you do not get a chance to try.”

“You three make sure he does not cause me any more problems.”
“Yes Sir!” Comes from all three.

“Sir the sensors to the on Majuro have just picked up a something moving north.”
“Any IDs on them?”
“No sir, they only got motion and thermal read on them and we had to wait for them to move off before the sensor stations could transmit a report what little information they did get.”
“Great, so what did they get?”
“Well from the heat and movement readings they were ‘Mech, two or more.”
“Why the guess on the number of units?”
“They were moving at the same speed and close. From the way they moved the pilots are good and they know of the sensors in the area. The ECM they used also blocked any good readings.”
“OK so we have more than two ‘Mechs moving in from the south that we do not know if they are hostile or not …. get that info to the GSF units in the area ASAP.”
‘Sir!”

“What do you think is going up north that E has some of his heavy hitters on the move?”
“I do not know, but as you have the connections should you not check in?”
“Old man you just never cease to amaze me.” Jonah give a cross look to his mentor. “What other pearls of wisdom do you have?”
“Other then we move to a better location before you call …. None.”
After an hour and in a location that will make tracking signal almost impossible. “Little bird to Phoenix, spotted four (4) of E’s heavy hitters moving north. Have a Dragon Fire Archer, Rifleman and Warhammer in the group.”

“Hay Max!” Comes from across the bar.
Max looks to see it is his one of his friends from the Nejiro Militia. “What is happening my friend?”
“I got some news you and your lady friend need.”
“Well then lets us get a private room to talk.” Max gets the bartender to get a room so they can talk.
“This is the only one we have right now.” The bartender opens it to a small office style room.
“This will be just fine. Have the kitchen bring us some food and drink.” Max hands the bartender some cash.
“You call’n your lady friend?”
“Sure will, just give me an idea of what you got.”
“Well it’s about that ‘hunter you two want so bad.”
Max takes out his phone and calls Victoria. “Hay one of my friends has some news on T. We are at the bar how fast can you get here.”
“I will be down right away.”

When she gets to the room she can see that food and drink has been setup and the boys are talking. “So what is this big news on T?”
Max looks to the young man at the table. “My friend here works at the militia control center and word came in that T and some pals were on the move.”
The young man looks at her. “Max said a while back that if a Dragon Fire was seen moving on Shinrin he wanted to know so I hopped over ASAP. That ‘Mech was spotted by one of the boss ladies spooks moving out with three of his buddies.”
“That is all well and good but we would need to get to Shinrin before that one goes to ground again.”
“Well for 10K each …. a buddy can get you on the transport that will be picking up the GSF gear that is knocked out.”
“OK so that is to get us over what back?”
“Hay look we are not greedy that is round trip, after all the big wigs like you, so it not that big of a problem getting you over and back.”
“And what is in this for you?”
“Just a small finder’s fee if you get him. Say one (1) percent.”
“That works for me Vic, how about you?”
“That is fine but only after we collect.”
“Hay fine …. like I said not greedy. I will need to know if it just you two or more. My buddy will need to know how much space you will need.”
“We will need to talk this over and see if someone we know would want in on this so in an hour we will let you know.”
“That works but no longer as the transport will be heading out in a few hours and you need to get to the pickup point.”

“So you think we need help?”
“We know his ‘Mech has clan weapons and he has three others with him. Now if they too have clan weapons this will be very hot.”
OK so who do you have in mind? The Drac has been off the grid for like forever and the local jocks have some talent but that may cut in way to hard if they have to get OK’s from their unit.”
“I was thinking about Calahan. He is on rock as a security specialist for one of the local companies. I think he would want in for a few reasons not just the money.”

“So Joe its Vicky I think you might be interested is some info that just came my way.”
“What do you have?”
“Looks like T came out from his hole.”
“OH really.”
“Max and know where he is and even have a ride to the place. You in?”
“Sure. Been looking for something to do and I would not mind getting in on the money.”
“OK so meet us in an hour at the old strip outside of town.”
“See you in an hour.”

do we have a projection of where they maybe heading?

How fast are they moving, walking or  running?

What is the terrain like where they were spotted?

What if any settlements are near them or in their trajectory and possibly at risk?
Kiah at headquarters will send out alerts to any settlements to alert of hostiles in area and advise them to be on alert.

when is this taking place? Would it be possible for other units in the field to converge on them as well? Just a thought since a lot of units are in the field at this time and we might be able to come in from different vectors , possible getting at them from different directions

do we have a projection of where they maybe heading?

the WoB unit is heading south-west to Majuro.
the other unit is heading north to Majuro.

Quote
How fast are they moving, walking or  running?

the WoB unit is moving at about 40 kph.
the unit moving north is moving at about 40 kph also.

Quote
What is the terrain like where they were spotted?

the WoB unit open with light woods
the other one heavy woods.

Quote
What if any settlements are near them or in their trajectory and possibly at risk?
Kiah at headquarters will send out alerts to any settlements to alert of hostiles in area and advise them to be on alert.

just open space with some light scattered woods. the only other cities are Rainbow way to the east and Samar way to the north.
Ghost and Dream's units are deploying units to keep an eye on the north side.

Quote
when is this taking place? Would it be possible for other units in the field to converge on them as well? Just a thought since a lot of units are in the field at this time and we might be able to come in from different vectors , possible getting at them from different directions

this is happening just a few days after the first mission to Vulcan Arms. about a day after the last mission.
No as you are not in the same area not even the same land mass. this mission is on Shinrin.

“I think we may have to turn back.”
“We can’t we need to follow the trail.”
“We are low on supplies and fuel.”
“If we don’t find something this trip it won’t matter as we have no money.”
“We can do other work to get some money and return.”
“No if we turn back someone will find it just like the last one.”
“That was just bad luck.”
“No it was not! We know others are looking hard and they have better gear. They will find this one also and after all the time and money we have spent.” Looking to his wife. “We have to find it and report the claim so we get credit and first salvage rights.”
“OK but when the fuel is down to a quarter we will have to return to the station.”

“It is time to turn back. We have just over a quarter fuel load.”
“You said we had until a quarter, so we have some time.”
“Look we can return after we do some odd jobs and get money for a full fuel load and supplies.”
“We are so close I can feel it. We lost that last one because we returned for fuel and supplies. That took us half a year to get back out.”
“True but we had no choice. If we had found something then, ran out of fuel and supplies we would still have nothing and would be dead.”
“OK, OK we will turn back.”
“WAIT! I have something on the MAG scan about 20 klicks to port.” Looking at the scanner she has a big smile for her husband. “I think your hunch just may pay off.”
“Any idea of what it is?”
“No, we are too far away. But it is metallic and large going by this scan.” She notes down the grid and keeps looking. “With luck that rock will be more metal than rock.”
“We will need to get back here fast. But we should make a closer pass.”
“Well, We can make a run a bit closer but not close as we do not have the fuel.” She looks at the asteroid. “That thing is big and will have some gravity to it.” Looking at her husband. “I think we can take up that offer for a cargo run you turned down. That cargo run will bring us close so we can get a better read on this. With a better scan we can figure what we will do.”
“I still do not like the idea of running supplier for sell swords.”
“If it pays the bills and will get us back here then we do it or we will lose this one as well.”

Interesting , scavengers in space (Posted by: shadhawk « on: 20 February 2023, 18:57:45) finding something , they are talking about "sellswords" which usually means us lol. We will most likely never know what the husband and wife team are after or what they found but it was very interesting reading and lets us know all sorts of things are going on in our neck of the woods lol see you all at the game

We may not be the only sell-swords on the planet.  They're just not working for the Governor.
