One Piece Miniatures
« on: 28 April 2017, 10:16:23 »
I know the list is long and that's what I'm hoping for. But it's been a long time since I bought any minis so I was hoping I could get some help to compile a list of all (or at least most) of the existing one piece BT minis that IWM has available.

Thanks!

Not at ALL exhaustive, but off the top of my head:

Hunchback
Hunchback IIC
Javelin
Firestarter (the original, not the DA one)
Vulcan
Urbamech

That's all I'm sure are one-piece. I know there are others, but can't be sure off the top of my head what exactly they are.

Most of the beginner's sets. I think the hatchetman one was two pieces.

If you're willing to glue arms, there are a host of minis that are two ore three pieces like the centurion

This is for a situation where assembly is not an option, hence why I asked about one piece minis.

Current sculpts only?

A lot of 'mechs that had one-piece sculpts got re-sculpted, and now have separate arms (e.g. Dragon, Grasshopper, Zeus, etc.). In many of these cases, the plastic Lance-pack versions are still one-piece.

In any case, I think the old once-piece Cyclops sculpt is still the current sculpt.

Also:
Assassin
Cataphract CTF-1X Nope
Urbanmech
Clint
Exterminator
Whitworth
Guillotine (I think?)

[Edited to add more options, after a quick review of the IWM catalog]

Current individual sculpts are multi-part. You'd have to dig into the Beginner's Sets/Lance Packs or find first sculpts for single-piece.

Victor?

Stalker has a separate torso and Victor has separate arms.

I know this may sound crazy BUT.....Has anyone thought to ask the folks at IWM?

Maybe they have some sort of 'collection' of minis they can look at and tell you, straight up with the SKU numbers and what not?

For example I know FOR A FACT the Hatchetman [20-864] is multi piece, but the hatchetman from Sword and Dragon Mech Pack I [10-033] is one piece.

I'm pretty sure I had to glue on the arms on my hatchetman from that set. Everything else was molded into the body but the arms were separate. (Mine doesn't have the same arm positions as any on CSO and I haven't cut one of those.

The original one was.  The newest versions are not, both Dark Age version and 4th War version.

Affirmative, I have one still in its blue Ral Partha blister pack and another one in a new IWM Quick Start Lance Pack
[10-044] which consists of an Orion, Victor, Firestarter and Hatchetman all of which are one piece, if my memory serves me correctly. I will try to upload some photos when I get a chance.

That's the point of this thread. Some of the IWM folks do frequent this forum. If they see this thread and are inclined to answer, then they will do so when they can. I'm not going to call them up and ask them to spend time that they may not have on this.

In any case, the answers from the community have been plentiful and sufficient for what I need to know so, again, there's no need for me to both IWM with that labor intensive task.

But that was my question.

I'm not suggesting asking them to catalogue the minis, but that they may actually already know.

An email along the lines of:

"Hey, I was looking to purchase some battletech minis, but I am interested in single cast pieces. Do you have a list handy of which minis are a single cast?"

Would be possibly more helpful than us looking to our mini collections, and then debating as to which minis we had that were one cast versus multi piece.

In the Sword and Dragon pack, you have a one-piece mech, two two-piece mechs, and one four-piece mech. The last (Hatamoto-Chi) is still very easy, with the parts being the entire mech, two arm guns, and the back heat sink fin.

Hey, hey, hey.... Stop thinking with logic and common sense. Lets keep it in the gray area in between logic and common sense okay?

 ;) ;) ;) :)) :)) :))

Original Phoenix Hawk IIC was a one piece sculpt.

Some versions of the Stalker were also.

I don't know if you have any GWA, but the majority of the original Battledroids were one piece sculpts.
