Hopefully you're all enjoying your holiday weekend (despite the sketchy weather).
Well we've got a big weekend coming up with two great events in Michigan:
First off, on Saturday, June 1st at 2:30 p.m. in Holt (Lansing), Aaron "Gravedigger" Pollyea will be running the Star League Era scenario "Strolling Through the Park".
'War has come to Sherwood. Once a paradise of cities that existed side-by-side in harmony with nature, now the ancient trees have formed a planetwide killing zone for 'Mechs and Infantry alike.'
Expect lances of medium BattleMechs in an urban environment filled with lots of trees! So be sure to brush up on those urban combat rules.
This event will be held at AFK Games located at 2495 N. Cedar Rd., Holt, MI 48842 in the stripmall behind the Krogers.

The second event next weekend takes place up in Grand Rapids at the VGL Underground Site 2112. It's four days filled with Battletech and Red Planet in the Firestorm VR Pods. Details are as follows:
VGL Spring Invasion 2019Starts: 05/31/2019 @ 7 p.m.
Ends: 06/02/2019 @ 5 p.m.
Location: 3552 Roger B Chaffee Memorial Dr. SE, Wyoming, MI 49548
- Open Pod weekend at the Grand Rapids VGL 2112 Pod Bay.
- Play Red Planet and BattleTech: Firestorm.
- Try the Derby Owners Club! (Additional nominal card fee may apply)
- This is a NO CHARGE event, but donations encouraged and gratefully accepted.
- Bring friends, family, and beverages that you may require.
This will be the last major, multi-day event at the Grand Rapids Pod Bays until Broctober Fest in the Fall. So if you've ever wanted to pilot a BattleMech through a war blasted landscape, or race through the mining tunnels of Mars using vectored-thrust mining hover crafts, or if you just want to get some practice in before the summer convention season, now is the time! Drive on up to Grand Rapids, Michigan... maybe before or after you've played some tabletop Battletech in Lansing... *hint hint*
The VGL Spring Invasion is a free-to-play event. Donations are not required but always accepted and appreciated.
