even dirtier is to strip all armor (even because what you have doesn't help much) to reduce the Battle Value

try many MGs in a turret. No armor.

Or R/L 10s, depending on the era you play.

The RL/10 might make sense.  Get in fast, volley everything, then get out.  No sticking around for multiple turns getting shot at

When I see light armor, I think the usage of BAR 5 or BAR 6 armor would be a thing. Whats the sense of BAR10 armor when it can not take a hit of a MediumLaser, while the same mass of BAR5 armor could.

Fractional accounting - you don't need 50 rounds - or as other mentioned for pure damage 3 machine guns - or 4 RLs

I did a design like that for the Outworlds Alliance in one campaign we were in - a 25 ICE weighs the same as a 25 Fusion engine used by a Savannah Master, the medium laser is replaced by a pair of RL-10s and its done. great for hit and run attacks - the only thing that could make it better was if there were inferno or incendiary RL-10s. Imagine a horde of these little critters doing a mass attack of a single firing pass on a group of BattleMechs like the Savannah Master horde ambush on the Fifth Syrtis Fusiliers in the Warrior trilogy, vehicles and then roaring off to reload and do it all again.

I like the idea of 4 RL-10s.  You can pop all 4 at once, or shoot from cover, scoot and repeat.  Maybe just pop them all at once given 8 pts of armor.  or at least use commercial armor and get 12 points ... at that low armor anything will rip you open anyway.

I already do this in my AU setting, as a counter to the 150- and 200-ton 'Assault Component' super-heavy 'mechs.  If they wander off without enough escorting units, these drones can really do a number on them.  Especially since once one leg is gone, they're basically done for.  So much for the 200-ton mech you bought as the centerpiece of your unit.

I really like this.  Should be canon for when the Elsies ran out of those fusion engines for the Savannah Masters or as a Snake or Leaguer response to the Savannah Master.  Great that even Periphery scum could field this at the depth of the Succession Wars and not seem technologically out of place.
