(Answered) Battle armor vs. infantry

While on the subject of infantry: since battle armor troops are infantry as well, do their attacks canonically inflict full damage on conventional infantry even when using weapons such as the stock Elemental's small laser and SRMs? There is potentially a bit of confusion between the rule on page 216 stating that "infantry" attacks (no qualifier) should be treated that way and the general one on page 215 describing how to apply damage from "non-conventional infantry" sources to conventional infantry. Battle armor are infantry; conventional, they're not.

BA weapons that do not show up on the BA burst-fire table operate exactly the same way as their 'mech-grade counterparts.  So a Small Laser Elemental would kill 1 trooper per shot instead of three.
