Surrender your Dreams
« on: 28 October 2011, 22:48:32 »
I recently began rereading the Dark Age novels and finished up Surrender your Dreams today, well all know of the Fidelis and that little conspiracy, but what I bring up today was the bones of Thomas Marik, thought to be hidden away but found to be missing, as well as the shade of the Master haunting the one Ghost Knight. In light of Final Reckoning what does everybody think about that little plot point?

I'm trying to remember where they said the bones were grabbed from.

Doesn't matter, they weren't actually his bones.

A monastery on Kwamashu.

Doesn't matter, they weren't actually his bones.

Or even bones at all.

From what I've read, the coffin though smaller than a coffin supposedly held the remains of Thomas Marik. Devlin Stone evidently thought so as to why he would list it as a target in case of Fortress Republic. When its broken at the end it only contains sticks with writing on them. We now know that the Master was in range of a incoming nuke fireball so there probably wasn't a whole lot left of the guy other than some scorched bones and scrap metal.
