Check out the old Initiation to War cover, it featured the Pillager.

And no, not talking about quirks- I meant did it get claws as a physical weapon, guess not.

It did not.  The "claws" are still decoration unless you play with quirks.

I'd like someone to make canon variant where Pillager had spikes mounted in hand actuators, so at least darn thing looks the part!

Fwiw, a little bit of trivia on the topic of the Pillager's claws: the qurik directly comes out of the Pillager's original TRO entry in StarDate. So they were worth something, I guess.

Hey, that's pretty neat!  I never saw that one.

FIVE of them. Yeah, no kidding. Five of just about any assault Mech will conquer planets without a lot of trouble, five of THESE things...

Vary it up a bit though. Because with a single large laser to its name at range, this is a nightmare when it gets where it's going, but kind of impotent on the way there first. A couple of them with a couple of standard models gives you some more breathing room to deal with targets at long ranges, perhaps with Longbows for support (or whatever your LRM-boat of choice is).

Think of Barber's Marauder IIs: Too much of a good thing can and will get you killed.  xp

Whoops that was supposed to be 4 plus two Behemoth II tanks, but the idea was for a lance of one of each variant. So a 3Z, 4L, 5L and 6L together with the tanks. I can see it in one of the Big MAC regiments.

That would definitely be overkill.
