I'm pretty excited to see the Minsk and War Crow, myself.

Sweet.

Did the Hierofalcon miss the cutoff from the fan funding? Iirc it was Prime A and B there?

Was the War Crow in the RecGuides yet?

Surprised, I would have expected something else there featuring more with ilClan.

Whole process is delayed by at least three months. The winter release trio were all mods of extant mechs to boot.

the BFFL was a surprise, yeah

It was such a surprise that I am now considering picking it as part of OpFor for Anton's Revolt Campaign. Although I am not sure which battles it was part of.

It was just more along the lines of a earlier RecGuide Wolf mech, but like I said I do not have that RecGuide so I could be off on details.

Can't wait to get my hands on a chunky piece of metal (the "Buffalo") and I'm excited to see how crisp the Typhoon looks.  IWM has been hitting it out of the park with their more recent aerospace fighter minis.  I wish IWM would get first go on resculpting and selling new minis of the original ASFs... but I digress.

That one kind of got stuck in limbo for awhile. It is in line for production molds, but mold room is behind due to Contract Casting customers and mold makers being out.

I know that they are using the same files for the Kickstarter mechs but how are the new mechs such as the Hierofalcon being designed?  Are they being sculpted the same way?  Will the Minsk and War Crow be of comparable size the new Kickstarter Heavy and Assault Mechs?

Well each Copperhead round does both damage as direct and area effect, same as Arrow Homing.

Plus I can ram with the supercharger, detonate the booby-trap, and explode the Copperhead rounds for a final finale! Pretty sure that breaks the Ares Conventions... and makes a permanent crater.

It's all about area effects...

Ramming knocks you about, Booby-Trap hits you hard, and then everything in the area gets hit, with splash damage!

Pretty sure a Colossal-class won't shake that off, even with Impact Resistant armor!

Where's the rule that says AE ammo does AE boom? Last I checked, raw damage was the ONLY consideration for the AE ammo boom rule, so machine gun ammo will always be your best bet by a huge margin.

If you don't want them as suicide vehicles, Buffalos can be used as convoy vehicles that need to be defended or destroyed.

Done both...

Great cargo haulers...

And as for the Boom effect, true, except Copperheads have an area effect built in... each round does 20 points in the hex, but does 10 the surrounding hexes as well... times 5 per ton times 10 extra tons ( Cargo of BFFL ) = 500 extra points each of the six surrounding impact hex, that should get some head turnings at the table!

I already told you, that's not a thing. You want to use the TacOps rules for ammo boom, you are required to look at one thing and one thing only: the total standard damage. AE rounds do NOT get their blast damage factored into this.

I might be missing something here to but isnt Copperhead rounds 15/10/5 damage for Long Tom/Sniper/Thumper pieces with a Radius of R(0)?

And going by the Ammo explosion rules in Tac Ops it'd be damaged cause divided by 10 applied to the destroyed unit's target hex and then all unit in adjacent hexes taking 1/2 that damage (rounded down).

(My understanding could be out of date however as I only have an older PDF to reference)

That sounds about right. Now do the math for the same boom, with machine gun ammo.

Any idea when the new White Raven/Black Python sculpt from RecGuide 12 is coming? If it needs fan funding to get a quicker release I'm sure myself and others would be more than willing to chip in.
