Do multiple tons of communicataions equipment count as a single item for damage purposes?  For example 7 tons of ComEquipment receives 1 crit of damage. Does the whole system go down or just the one crit reducing ECCM effects by half?

If the equipment keeps working does it matter how many continuous slots there are? As in does the equipment below the damaged slot continue to function or are they cut off by the damage? So if slot 4 out of 7 is damaged do slots 5-7 also cease to function or is the system just reduced to a 6 ton unit for ECCM and Ghost target generation?

Can a unit generate multiple ECCM and/or Ghost targets if it has enough ComEquipment?  For example can a 10 ton ComEquipment generate 1 Ghost target and an ECCM field at half Guardian Range?

The construction rules for communications equipment are in TechManual.

It's a single system regardless of tons / slots occupied, so one hit takes it all down.

As for ECCM, Ghost Targets, etc, only 1 effect no matter how much comm equipment is mounted.
