Yes everything that generates heat for a regular Mech generates heat for and ICE mech.

Where did you find that?
Industrial 'Mechs don't generate heat for moving (I took them because I couldn't find the rules for regular 'Mechs).
In turn they tested each Clan namesake
In trial against the ice hellion's mettle.
Each chased the ice hellion, hunting it down.
All faild to match the predator's speed and grace.
Khan Cage smiled and said. "And that is how we shall be."

he is correct. ICE powered industrials do not generate movement heat.

they do generate all normal weapon heat though.

Total War, page 158
Quote
Fuel Cell and ICE-Powered IndustrialMechs: ICE-powered IndustrialMechs generate no heat from walking or running, a side effect of their engine and structural designs.

Fission and Fusion powered ones however still generate movement heat. of course those powerplants provide free heat sinks.

bit of an advantage. doesn't quite offset the reduced performance you have dealing with the mass of an ICE engine, or the explosive nature of those engines though. but does make them a bit easier to manage.

But Takiro was asking for combat 'Mechs using ICE.
So it would be : no heat for moving but still for firing (even if they are firing missiles)?

Why this difference with ICE powered vehicles?

Standard battlemechs cannot use ICE engines. (or fission or fuelcell.)
Fusion only.

also, he only stated "mechs", not which type. so until he responds we cannot know whether he meant industrialmechs or battlemechs.

I did that intentionally. I wanted to get an unvarnished answer to the question from the community at large without getting into word games about Industrial vs Battle. I don't want to get into a debate about that distinction and what I wanted answered is now answered. I thank you all for your input.
