Is there any way for a character built using the life path method to obtain officer ranks without taking the OCS path?

Not that I can think of offhand... I'll do some more digging this week, but really... you want that module. :)

You could always create a mustang: a long time enlisted soldier that was given a commission later in their career.

Maybe use Interest: Military Leadership or Officer Training

Or just send them back to the academy for officer training at some point after a Tour of Duty; that's how Daryk helped me put together Mirage Kataja's character sheet.

I throw my mustangs through OCS.  It's only a year after all, and specifically allowed if you have another Military school.
