Since the last thread hit 50 pages, here's a new one.
I got my 10 yr old hooked on GG. mwhahahaahahaha!

Start 'em young so you can have them start picking out who they will make into proper minions early. You got to train them young.

I loved your post closing the previous one; wonder if that will become a new verb?
"What happened to [Town X]?"
"It got Mechanicsburged."
-
new verbs from combat units....
That villa got B-52'd.
Bob is stupid busy. His whole shop is being Custer-ized.

A fun that will last well into adulthood.
-
We *have* to raise a new generation of GG fans. Someone has to be around to see how it all ends! ;)
-
It is my personal theory that the Foglios are the first Sparks. When they die, the comic will continue, driven by an insane computer whose definition of "Fun" is creatively removing intruders from the premises
-
I am wondering who their looking to pull out/see down there. I can not help feeling that is not the old baron.
-
I just want to see what more we hear from the Voices.
-
Nope it's the "Storm King", if he survives he's got someone that can throw some of his most powerful enemies in to turmoil, he pushes the Storm King in to the neutral camp and scores points with Agatha. If he dies well he's eliminated a political and romantic rival and can negotiate with a more agreeable Heir to the Storm Throne to establishing a new order, Neo-Pax-Europa anyone?
-
Othar.
Because if anyone can survive this, Othar can, and then Gil will know how to save others.
And if Othar doesn't? Then he's dead for good! Hurrah!
-
I've been re-reading the stories... Is it wrong that the Castle makes me giggle and laugh uncontrollably?
-
Why would there be anything wrong with that?
-
I've been re-reading the stories... Is it wrong that the Castle makes me giggle and laugh uncontrollably?
oh good, der kessle's sorrow inhibitor is still running.
-
Yay! New Thread!
-
I love the castle...so...happy to please her mistress...or master...or whatever...
;)
-
I've been re-reading the stories... Is it wrong that the Castle makes me giggle and laugh uncontrollably?
Oh! you are one of the FUN ones!
-
Der Kestle knows "Higgs." That's right, Higgs in quotation marks. Curiouser and curiouser.
-
We already knew that.
-
Der Kestle's enthusiasm is wondrous to behold (from a safe distance).
-
You don't want Der Kastle to interested in you it seems. Oddly I'm surprised Der Kastle doesn't recognize Gil's voice. He was running around inside it for a while.
-

You only think Der Kestle didn't recognize Gil's voice. Der Kestle loves to play all sorts of games mit der victims.
-
i like the the build of Der Kessle's paling! very likable murdercastle, that one.
-
Well, that experiment went, well, sorta well.
Sorta
-
He didn't turn to dust, so that's good O0
-
And now we see what happens when a Jager gets older.
-
i don't think der kessle is fooled.
And now we see what happens when a Jager gets older.
or not, depending on how effective whatever Gil's experiment worked.
how about a Jagermonster babies spinoff? ;D
-
And we'll see what happens... sometime later.
I must say that train service is really good, Poirot would actually have a peaceful travel if he chose them instead of Orient Express.
-
And we'll see what happens... sometime later.
I must say that train service is really good, Poirot would actually have a peaceful travel if he chose them instead of Orient Express.
Especially when the Orient Express turns into some hideous eldritch horror...that just ruins the whole trip!
-
And I don't think we'll be doing that one again any time soon.
-
now that's what i call full service!
something tells me auntie margolotta REALLY needs that wine right about now.
-
See! SEE! It does work! Uh Oh!
-
Mmmm...the Others.
-
I only hope we're talking about the Others. Can you imagine throwing ANOTHER big bad into all of this?
-
I guess the standard answer by Foglios to such question would be: ''Why not?''
-
I only hope we're talking about the Others. Can you imagine throwing ANOTHER big bad into all of this?
can i imagine the Foglios doing it? heck, i'd be surprised if they didn't add more than one!
-
Nope! Looks PERFECTLY normal to me! Why would you think there could be anything amiss?
Weren't those always there?
-
....that has more eyes than necessary.
-
Um...crap...
How exactly do I explain this?
;)

Sure they are! The Censortron will just get them!
the glorious Censortron will get the offending words, or the offending forum member? ???
-
Thanks to a recent upgrade, the answer to that is yes. [skull]
-
....that has more eyes than necessary.
That is only if you let yourself be constrained to thinking of how life here for us on this minor dimension works. This is...
I like it.
-
der kessle is having entirely too much fun with gil's subterfuge attempt. in that i'm afraid we're going to be short a gil too soon to resolve the plot threads.
i mean, i know it likes gil and all, but i'm not entirely sure that "liking" gil will mean it's taking his safety to hearth.
-
And then there was pie.
-
Pie is always good...and refreshing...:)
-
A panicking Kestle? Oh dear.
And what is being said in the last panel? Looks like Jaegerspeak.
-
When Agatha is around, are things like that even allowed to happen without spark interference?
-
the trains must be on time! anything else would be sacrilege!
also, looks like Agatha's finally gotten around to putting her clothes on. is it me, or does she have a bit of a hard time recalling when she's undressed?........
-
Nice "Star Wars" reference in today's strip. ;D
-
Nice "Star Wars" reference in today's strip. ;D
See, with the Maw Cluster in Star Wars, the use of a distance to represent speed makes sense.
That it could travel a shorter route, meant it was fast enough to escape the black holes through
the Maw Cluster.
What is going to be the explanation for using distance to measure the speed of something that
travels on rails, though?
-
Well, the simple answer. Hills.
The less simple answer, Spark territories. :D
-
Well, the simple answer. Hills.
This actually makes sense. Just like the Falcon going past the Maw, a train with a more powerful engine would likely be able to handle steeper inclines, and thus able to use a rail that went right over the hills, as opposed to a normal train that might have to use rails that went around those hills.

Do recall, this is a world with Ulysses Engines.

Time and distance are not exactly fixed.

I would so kill to have that for the front of some of our line haul trucks come winter.

Was anybody at all surprised to find that the stylized dragon at the front of a crazy train was actually a flamethrower? :)
-
Was anybody at all surprised to find that the stylized dragon at the front of a crazy train was actually a flamethrower? :)
I'm evidently out of touch with my Inner Spark; it hadn't even occurred to me.
-
I was thinking some sort of plasma ray in the headlamp myself.
-
Was anybody at all surprised to find that the stylized dragon at the front of a crazy train was actually a flamethrower? :)
i would be actively disappointed if they had not had something named a dragon that did NOT breathe huge clouds of fire. it's just such a perfect opportunity.....
-
I soooooo agree! Smart questions can make my head hurt!
-
Oh my god! This Count Wolkerstorfer is awesome!
-
i like him, he's a proper card. i hope he's one of the recurring characters that isn't shelved for months at a time.
this also makes me wish for 'mech mounted pyrotechnics in mechwarrior online.
-
So appaerantly the Rail Gun is about to be born.
-
Well, it was working. But he had a magnet..... 8)
-
a better magnet, you mean.
still, that's a well-made 'mech- not often you see a chassis made to take a railing like that!
-
Don't look at him like that, Agatha. God is all about the sharing.
-
Hmm, the right to be polearmed by bears?
-
Hmm, the right to be polearmed by bears?
You know...I think it says something when a Jaeger is actually telling people to get away, and is actually being
SERIOUS about the threat something poses..Agatha should probably pay attention!
-
Count Wolkerstorfer believes in the right to arm bears! Ain't the Teddy Troopers soooooooo cute!
-

Yes, but seriously: Even in the past, what would Dimo reaction to Agatha actually saying all the stuff she has to use?
It would be to smile, and get ready to join in the carnage. In this case, though, his reaction telling everyone to
RUN. Even AFTER Agatha starts into the Crazy Place. I think we are about to see the first REALLY dangerous thing
ever!
-
Oh Mara, you know Dimo just wants all the fun to himself.
-
I think we are about to see the first REALLY dangerous thing ever!
Nah, that would be the Dreen. You know, the ones the Jager Generals are too terrified to try and fight
-
And the time creatures that scare Der Kestle.
-
"Muh. Jager" So whatever! I like how Agatha is being dragged away by the monks in the first panel and is dragging the monks away in the last!
-
Swift switch from madness place to clarity of thought is usually caused by survival instincts flooding the body with adrenaline.

Will someone tell me when we ported to Chicago?
-
''Warning! Has no sense of humor.''
-
They used to be men. There is a story in that one simple statement.
-
I thought before that this was a common knowledge, at least amongst the sparks.
-
I thought before that this was a common knowledge, at least amongst the sparks.
i can imagine it isn't. sparks don't seem to be the most outgoing about spreading their research, after all and the hetrodyne don't seem to be different what with how little we actually understand how the castle works. besides, what more do you need to tell those fools past "i have created a vicious army to crush you"?
-
Every other time it's been brought up by someone, for example, Old Man Death, the fact that there was a process that changed people into Jaegers has been mentioned very casually, with none of the explanations expected if it wasn't something that most people knew.
-
the thing is that everyone who HAS mentioned it has either been Jaegers, or members of the town that are oldsters.
-
I took the whole thing as more of a warning. "Don't expect them to act civilized, because they probably don't even remember what that means"
Or alternately a "maybe they deserve more respect".
Or both!
-
I considered it a reminder...
They aren't wild animals...or monsters...they are men...and they may not like us experimenting on them...
-
Sometimes, I juste love the littlest of details... Higgs has been reasigned from the Rosen Maiden to Castle Wulfenbach, as evidenced by his cap. Thus questions:
- Is he still a bosun?
- Is this new cap Jaegeresquer?
- How many particles will be crashed into each other to uncover his identity?
-

I thought Higgs was aboard the Frozen Maiden? Nope, it looks to be Rozen Maiden. That makes no sense. oh well, it IS GG.
-
After seeing Monday's installment, I think the "they were once men..." comment was a lead-in/set up for the biy about it being the worst thing they experienced, and how Vole would feel about that now.
-
I thought Higgs was aboard the Frozen Maiden? Nope, it looks to be Rozen Maiden. That makes no sense. oh well, it IS GG.
Now that you say it, this may be possible as a F could be hidden by perspective. But what is important is the change of affectation: he's now directly attached to Gil.
After seeing Monday's installment, I think the "they were once men..." comment was a lead-in/set up for the biy about it being the worst thing they experienced, and how Vole would feel about that now.
And a lead-in to what Vole is feeling today, when brought back to a non-frozen timeline.
Could it also be a clue on Higgs, as if he (alone?) remembers what being human is, not being blinded by Jaegerdraught-induced pain. Hypotheses, hypotheses... we're doing SCIENCE!
-
..so could it be that Higgs is the only person to take the perfected Jeager Drought? He has all the benefits but none of the side effects?
-
Now that you say it, this may be possible as a F could be hidden by perspective.
I found a picture that clearly shows that there is no "F". And I guess Phil is a fan of an anime called "Rozen Maiden".

I decided to find out what's the all hype about Girl Genius... Now I know (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20040218#.U9vSwvl_sh8) ;D O0
[edit]
Yeah, this just BEAUTIFUL (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20041008#.U9vp0vl_sh8)
-
Not that Vole has generally been in what most would consider to be a pleasant mood - but he looks decidedly miffed about now.
-
Just a tad.

And the coffe is just PERFECT.
-
So the Jägermonsters get bigger and less human like as they age? Would that mean that the generals are the earliest (surviving) of their kin?
-
That which makes Dupree think an enraged Jaegermonster is a gift to her...makes me a tad worried.
-
That which makes Dupree think an enraged Jaegermonster is a gift to her...makes me a tad worried.
All I'm getting is an impression that her vision of the immediate future is suitable for the Valentine's Day of her world AND ours...
-
Dupree looks very, very excited in that last panel. Almost too excited. I don't expect Vole to survive!
-
she's awash with emotions i usually need to dream of atomic weapons to have!
Gil meanwhile is trying to get his headgears spinning fast enough to figure out what this means to his previously devised plans. he seems to be somewhat of an expert of misunderstanding Dupree.
-
I don't think anyone can understand Dupree. That's the problem!
-
I think her run-of-the-mill boyfriends break too quickly. Vole promises greater ... endurance.
And spiky bits ...
-
And dates that are more fun.
-
I think her run-of-the-mill boyfriends break too quickly. Vole promises greater ... endurance.
And spiky bits ...
So, think of her as a Klingon female (at least in this case) - got it.
-
More like a Predator female (from the novels, anyway ...)
-
Best part, Vole can't die!
-
He might not die, yet, but he will want his centuries back.
That is an awful amount of time to be stolen just to sate Gil's curiosity. Mad scientist or no, I always felt Gil had more morals than that. I really hope he has a plan to restore Vole to his youthful state.
-
Remember, there have been hints that Gil isn't in the driver's seat anymore.
-
Ninja'd blast you Ogre.
-
Remember, there have been hints that Gil isn't in the driver's seat anymore.
At least not all the time. Also, a good while back there was a question of whether a slaver wasp could maintain control of a spark while they were in the "madness place".
My convoluted theory: The Other encouraged Klaus to use a beacon engine to download himself into Gil. Bringing the other's influence over Klaus with him. The four armed advisor (who's name I forget), having already suspected Klaus's infection, countered this move by somehow inducing the madness place in Gil and keeping him there, while surrounding him with trusty guardians who were beyond infection (Dupree, already treated to prevent it, Higgs, because he's fricken Higgs, and the Clank). This allowed Gil to remain free long enough to duplicate and distribute the slaver wasp antidote, and possibly even free the father in his head in the process. Leading to the current state of war between the Wulfenbachs and the Other.
So Gil must be kept crazy for the greater good of the Empire.
-
I agree with most of your hypothesis, but I do think Klaus is still in there. Yes, the son is likely to copy the behavioural patterns of his father, but I'm getting a very strong Baronial vibe off Gil, with his feelings for Agatha being the purest Gil influence.
-
Best part, Vole can't die!
never say never little man, this is Bangladesh DuPree at the helm! she's an expert at this sort of thing.
-

Poorly worded on my part. I assume that Head Klaus is still present, but is free of the Other's control.
-
Gotta love Bang's enthusiasm about all things.......that anybody sane would be terrified about.
-
And now things get even MORE interesting.
Also, darn it! I want to know the answer to the mystery of Higgs..why did Der Kestle recognize
him!
-
Welcome to the Girl Genius fan club dude.
Also...things are finally getting interesting...she's calling him on the inconsistencies...
I also think the Baron is taking up headspace...but sometimes I get a feeling of Gil too...so not sure exactly what is going on...
Of course this Girl Genius...so...
SCIENCE!!!!!! :)
-
I so love to watch Bang's antics. Would not want to actually be near the sociopath, but watching her is fun! She is soooo semicunning!
-
Yeah...she is someone who is fun to watch in action from...far away...far FAR away...:)
-
An universe away is a good distance.
-
i don't understand you guys, why would you not want to be close enough to make whatever fun Dupree comes up with better?
-
Because being her fun is no fun.
-
Because being her fun is no fun.
At least not for any significant length of time.
-
Wow! She has semi-figured out something is wrong with Gil!
-
Wow! She has semi-figured out something is wrong with Gil!
...and her thought process is scarily rational.
-
really gil? you needed a whole inset panel to decide if you could bluff depree? you're either more tired or less smart than i gave you credit for.
-
No I think it was Gil wrestling for a second with the copy of Daddy riding along in his head, Dupree is really more one of Gil's followers then one of the Baron's hence her and Gil knowing each other better then the Baron knows her.
-
At last! I have caught up with the latest page!
I've put together an ad of sorts (http://koti.mbnet.fi/~bigfoot/muu/GirlGenius.jpg). Feel free to show it around other forums and even print it on paper.
Wow! She has semi-figured out something is wrong with Gil!
Didn't she have that figured out when she busted in his secret lab and started fighting him? (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20120319#.U-ear_l_t6I) Hey, why is Gil so submissive now before her?
[edit]
Oh, right: fatigue from lack of sleep and fight with Vole
-
Always good to confirm your target.
-
yeah, but who IS her target? the baron? the other? the Heterodyne? i haven't seen enough of DuPree's thought process when she's not attacking the closest thing available to figure out what she sees as the greater threat here and how to make it die.
Didn't she have that figured out when she busted in his secret lab and started fighting him? (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20120319#.U-ear_l_t6I) Hey, why is Gil so submissive now before her?
......wait, have we SEEN Mr. Zoing since the baron put his failsafes on?
-
yeah, but who IS her target? the baron? the other? the Heterodyne?
At this point, I think she's just punching Gil for being dumb enough to agree to something like that.
-
At this point, I think she's just punching Gil for being dumb enough to agree to something like that.
Precisely. I know it's a bit odd for something to be that straightforward with the Foglios, but they do occasionally throw one in there to keep us off-kilter.
-
Agatha (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20070608#.U-pKg_l_t6I) makes (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20070618#.U-pKdvl_t6I) coffee (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20070629#.U-pLG_l_t6I)

Just wait until you get to the story of how Maxim got his new hat.
-
I've already read through all the pages that are online
-
Side story time again.
-
Yeah. Oh joy.
-
Most of these are firmly 'Seriously? We don't care.' Maxim getting a new Hat was awesome because it expanded on a character we've met and rooted for. I don't even know who these people are, and will probably only check this thread for when they resume their regular tale.
-
Wonder if this is the guy the Jaegers learned to speak from?
-
Word is 'jägers'
-
Word is 'jägers'
And for keyboards without the umlaut vowels, the addition of an "e" is a suitable substitute.
-
it might not be canon, honestly. they do use guest/nonsense work as filler when they're out like this.
-
And for keyboards without the umlaut vowels, the addition of an "e" is a suitable substitute.
A keyboard without umlauts is a poor keyboard. Umlauts make everything cooler, just look at the Motörhead.
-
"Vat kind uf sufficiently advanced technology is this!?!"
It may be filler, but I think I love this writer. ;D
-
At least the guy in the comic got it right and didn't call it magic ;D
-
"Brother...when you meet the Lord...do...do it with the throttle open."
[applause] [rockon]
-
I wonder does conductor have something against Agatha... Or against some other passenger perhaps?
-
He dreads what might happen if a powerful spark like Agatha gained access to their fortress.
-
in all fairness to the guy, the Hetrodynes has something of a reputation. kinda like how the apocalypse has a reputation. but with more screaming!
so, are the pikes electrified, or did that bear hit a power coupling?
-
I like the fact that most of the bears are disciplined enough to properly stack their polearms.
-
More free drink coupons!
-
...because this is steampunk. EVERYTHING can be made lighter than air. O0
-
by sheer coincidence, flight by a balloon of likely volatile gasses is the safest way to escape this mad scientist.
this is why we put lasers in our giant robots people, remember that!
-
I think Higgs may be a bit of a masochist.
-
This is the first time I've ever seen him busted up by a fight.
A part of me wonders if he drank the jagerjuice (or maybe something created to act like it)...
-
The secret Jager General.
-
That is what I think, as well.
-
nah, too easy. i'm betting he's of the same sort as punch and judy, but more finely made.....
EDIT: BEHOLD! No branch of science escapes the baron without having it's every depth plumbed! ;D
-
By the way, where's what's-his-name, the other Storm King prince? Stuck in Mechanicsburg?
And I consider the interplay between Gil and DuPree to be absolutely adorable.
-
it would seem the monk's chastisment is failing to reduce the amount of problems for the poor abbot. good, let him feel what it's like to try and keep track of where this story's headed!
-

So say we all...
-
Nice referencing at The Whiteboard.
-
Nice referencing at The Whiteboard.
Whaddya mean?
-
It was a filler, they removed it, will probably resurface someday in the Sketchbook. Basically it was a Pirta in a recording booth saying ''Spider in the icebucket? Who writes this crap?'' and the text bellow explaining that the regular comic will resume in 17 hours if they are not bombed by the fleet of madmen in dirigibles.
-
So does this mean Agatha will gain the right to arm bears?
-
the bears already have arms. well, most of 'em. i suppose a few of those halberds got busted while impaling power armored ticket punchers.
edit: wait, we've seen a guy that makes bears on wulfenbach's castle already! you don't suppose that actually led somewhere, do you? ???
-

Dr. Dimitri Vapnoople seems to be the current fan favorite for who created the bears.. and while many seem to assume their master is Krosp, i think it might be Agatha..

-
Makes me think, could it be that the bears were made by Barry? Creator is not the master, bears were made as a surprise for the one they would serve.
-
"...he's a Moldovian Puff, isn't he? I'm told they're a particularly heathenish lot."
"Mm. It would explain a lot."
Poor Krosp, never gets any respect.
-
I dunno. I think he gets exactly the respect he deserves.

It is so hard to keep family secrets when you are complaining about them very loudly. }:)

There is no such thing as overkill, simply open fire and reloading. >:D

Ah, yes..Martellus..please explain to that idiotic fop that you know more about diplomacy then he does.
I mean..your initial show of power ended up, what? Eradicating most of the fleet?

I guess Martellus took Wulfenbach's book on workplace communication to heart.

How to win friends and influence people...
erm...sorta...;)
How to win friends and influence survivors I think you mean
-
I knew I was missing something...:)
-
Every time Tweedle shows up, I just want to stab him in his smug face...guess that means the writing is really good. O0
-
I want him to get killed quickly just because he's yet another smug, annoying villain in a series that has too many as it is.
-
Yeah, I prefer it when the villains are dangerously professional and not blatantly evil(Klaus Wulfenbach), or hilariously crazy(Tarvek's dad).
-
Yeah, I prefer it when the villains are dangerously professional and not blatantly evil(Klaus Wulfenbach)
Is that definition of antivillain?
-
I want him to get killed quickly just because he's yet another smug, annoying villain in a series that has too many as it is.
Look on the bright side, everything looks like it's coming up tweedle, which means it'll soon be the perfect time for everything to backfire all at once!
-
I just find him to be a thoroughly uninteresting antagonist and feel that he accomplishes nothing beside take time away from more interesting characters.
Honestly, the series suffers from having way more characters than it should already and the plot just drags. I feel like without the timeskip, we'd probably still be on the same day. I've been wavering for a while on whether or not I actually want to keep with the series- it's been far too long since I've actually found it exciting and interesting.
-
Well, somebody seems to be a bit hungry.......
-
It looks to me more like something, rather than somebody.
-
I'd say whatever it is, it's hangry, not hungry. Hangry is when you're hungry and angry at the same time. >:D
-
Of course, it's built by her family. :D O0
-
Aaaand it doesn't need tracks to run on, and it's self fueling. Why am I suddenly getting this vision of a locomotive crossed with a centipede? :o
-
Aaaand it doesn't need tracks to run on, and it's self fueling. Why am I suddenly getting this vision of a locomotive crossed with a centipede? :o
Wrong vision. Right one is Prairie Schooner (http://www.masterunitlist.info/Unit/Details/4856/prairie-schooner-module-standard) 8)
-
If you're thinking logical, the Schooner is the way to go.
On the other hand, 'logical' is not a word I'd use to describe a lot of creations in this setting, especially those springing from Heterodyne minds. The centipede would not surprise me.
-
it would surprise me! the hetrodynes haven't shown much interest in insectiod designs, really.
now a large, multi-segmented cyborg bear, that would make sense.
(Sense in this case being under the badly skewed filter of about 50 kinds of insanity and two beers, but still)
-

well, not to mention the fact that I don't believe any self respecting spark would design something that mundane...
not that the Prarie Schooner isn't cool, just not quite appropriate :))
now, the cyborg bear thing has a lot to recommend it- and think it's a case of 2 kindsa insanity and 50 beers ....
-
Well, someone sure understands how to talk to kings! ;D
-
Well, someone sure understands how to talk to kings! ;D
That's a cook I want on my staff.
-
Hmm, I'm hoping that this dragon-train-thing is hungry enough to start extracting the trace amounts of iron from his blood. >:D
-
Depending on how the arm is attached, this might hurt some or a lot.
-
Ooookay...the armor also made him look human? ???
-
It looks to me like it's getting bigger.
-
Werewolf.
He shed the armor as he changed.
Or so I would think. :)
-
Werewolf:armor as Lou Ferrigno:red flannel shirts I think.
-
One would imagine it would be simple, and advantageous, for a Spark to design quick-release armour for shapechangers.
-
Oh Ho! All hail the mighty Winslow!
-
Oh Ho! All hail the mighty Winslow!
you heretic! to speak of the unspeakably divine green fuzzy lizard!
:D
-
Okay, who does the notebook belong to? RvR - R? von R? ??? No bells are ringing.

Ryn

Thanks! Couldn't remember van Rijn having a first name. And you can't assume "conservation of plotlines" with the Phoglios ...
-
Thanks! Couldn't remember van Rijn having a first name. And you can't assume "conservation of plotlines" with the Phoglios ...
his first name is never stated in the comic (current fan headcanon is 'rembrandt', the same as the real world artist), but we've seen those initials on his notebook that Tinka had.. the one with all the notes on how the Muses worked.
right now the fans are debating as to whether this notebook is the same book and the train-monks have am use hidden away.. or if she was after some other creation of his, and this is a different notebook..
-
You know, brain-hijacking stuff has been shown in the series before, so I can't help but wonder who's actually in the driver's seat for that Brother right now.
-
You think she meant for the engine to get her, because she wasn't in it anymore?
That's certainly a good way to fake your death...
-
Well, it's just that as stated, her plan seems too straightforward.
-
True.
Then again, there's no guarantee that her plan succeeded. After all, you know what they say: No plan of battle survives contact with the Heterodyne-spawned abomination of science.
-
True.
Then again, there's no guarantee that her plan succeeded. After all, you know what they say: Nothink plan of battle survives contact with the Heterodyne-spawned abomination of science.
Fixed that for you
-
Very true. ;D
-
Except for the convolutions of a Phil Foglio plot.
-
Considering how much they kill each other in that family, their birth rates must be through the roof to have such number of relatives to kill/get killed by.
-
Ah, but they only really TRY to kill the ones they don't like.
The rest are just little tries. The kind of obstacles you put in place to make sure only smart relations grow up. I mean, if you are family known for scheming, would YOU want and idiot to grow up and sully the family name? Better to let them go out in a blaze of glory.
Natural selection at its best...
;)
-
Except for the convolutions of a Phil Foglio plot.
who says they survive? for all we know they just hastily erect a new set of convoluted plot ideas every time they unleash some horrible abomination in the comic and start over where they are.
.......which would make as much sense as anything else at this point.
-
And THEN we unleash the volcanoes! >:D
-
And THEN we unleash the volcanoes! >:D
Yes..you really have to love how Agatha thinks once she enters the madness place.
-
And THEN we unleash the volcanoes! >:D
Everything in its proper sequence, of course.
-
i don't see the cause for objection, that would honestly be the best time for volcano unleashing.
maybe Violetta has a personal aversion to volcanic events?
-
OK, she found a monster that scared her. The pseudo-storm king.
-
Well, Tweedle finally said something I agree with: Agatha shouldn't bother trying to figure out what his angle is.
She should just kill him.
-
Yeah, unless he is exceedingly good at getting out of bad situations or she is even more forgiving than I think, he is going to die soon....
It's in the title. Girl Genius. Not Boy Genius.
;)
-
He's not gonna die anytime soon. At least not in this year. Why? Becouse comic needs new Big Bad to replace baron Wulfenbach 8)
-
Yeah, it's not like Agatha & Company don't have plenty of complications to deal with besides Tweedle. ::)
-
Yeah, it's not like Agatha & Company don't have plenty of complications to deal with besides Tweedle. ::)
Rule #1 of GG: There's no such thing as too many or an unnecessary plot complication.
-
All this is irrelevant in the face of what truly is the most important question ever.
Dost thou even lyft? ;D
-
i like the elegance in contriving an absurd, difficult method of doing something based around the sole purpose of keeping a rouge spark's invention entertained enough to remain "safe"*
*"safe" now coming to your area, order now!
-
*snicker* Somebody may finally be learning that his attentions are a little less than wanted, or welcome.
Or at least learning that Agatha can really kick your.............butt. Yeah, butt! That's the ticket! Butt!
-
They should be worried by the fact that he is learning.
-
Yay! Humongulus doth lyft them into the middle of the fray wyth hyth awesome spikey pectorals, much to appropriate appreciation! Woo! and Hoo!
-
They really need to make a Humongulus T-shirt.
-
If I ever own a set of plate, it will have "Dost thou even lyft?" engraved into it. 8)
-
They should be worried by the fact that he is learning.
seeing as his mother was likely a spark and he's not lobotomised, i'm willing to be this sudden ability to please an angry lady is less dangerous that you might think... >:/!
-
You know...there is something kind of scary about three sparks working ont he same thing
and all being HAPPY. This will be amazing (if it works).
-
You know...there is something kind of scary about three sparks working ont he same thing
and all being HAPPY. This will be amazing (if it works).
And this time von Zinzer is not around with a bucket.
-
So T-Rex will be able to overcome it's problems, resulting from constantly skipping the arm days.
-
man, the hetrodynes know how to make a great train.
i mean, it's killed a bunch of people and i'm not sure how to get any kind of cargo on it, but look at the lines of that thing! beautiful!
-
I love Girl Genius. This time, it's boosted my vocabulary! O0

Humongulus making an appearance at The Whiteboard. (http://www.the-whiteboard.com/autotwb1880.html/)
-
Humongulus making an appearance at The Whiteboard. (http://www.the-whiteboard.com/)
It also had the Hat guy from XKCD..
-
His "official" name is Black Hat Guy.
-
seems like a reasonable train, i'm sure there's an agreement to be had here. what say we assign that one to the line through the storm king's lands, i'm sure tweedles's already got a great way to ensure it travels safe lined up!
-
Hmmm, curious to find out his/its reasons.
-
The bears are here.
-
and they appreciate marksmanship!
how unfortunate that tweedle can't hold himself above a little verbal cat and mouse with krosp.
-
They really need to kill Tweedle before he makes himself plot relevant again.
-
The Emperor of all Cats keeps trying...but the dogooders keep getting in the way with statements like "we need him" "that's not nice" and "how could you?"
The answers are "no we don't" "no it isn't" and "easily."
;)
-
They really need to kill Tweedle before he makes himself plot relevant again.
but...but plot relevance is my favorite KIND of death! :'(
-
Could some kind person find me the page where the thread title - "You're my creation and must obey my commands!" - is so foolishly given?
Thanks in advance!
-
lets see..
here we go: http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20130805#.VOFknleq_r4

Ninja'd blasted Kuritans
-
Sir, you're a gentleman and a scholar! Many thanks.
-
You know that the train is really scary, when you don't notice that you are talking to the bears you flew from, earlier in the day.
-
Hey! he's been a most polite bear! do you check every causal conversation you're having to make sure they're not a terrifying war-hungry monster?
....i remind which forums you're perusing.
-

This bear is Konig. Would speak with you. Promise conversation not end with "AAAAH!" and "Crunch Crunch".

-
Interesting....
And now Krosp has an army of Bears.
Not only Bears, but Bears that Jaegers are scared of.
Yes, the word needs to be capitalized ;)
-
He is emperor of Bears now :o
-
This will make going into Paris interesting.
-
OK..with todays..I don't even remember what Agatha is referencing! Talk about a Checkov's Gun..
-
He is emperor of Bears now :o
I'm almost certain Konig called Master "her" earlier. Empress of all Bears?
-
Girl Genius is getting to be like Prince Valiant and Dragonball Z in how it refuses to push the action forward. I'm considering dropping my RSS subscription and just visiting occasionally to catch up like a regular comic book.
-
I'm almost certain Konig called Master "her" earlier. Empress of all Bears?
No. Konig thought pickle-man served same master. Pickle-man called master "her", so master must be female. This bear did not know who master was, after all.
-

Getting to be? It's been like that for years- if it weren't for the time-skip I'm sure we'd still be on the same day.
-
Getting to be? It's been like that for years- if it weren't for the time-skip I'm sure we'd still be on the same day.
True. Maybe I'm just noticing since we're dwelling on the train monster right now.

Interesting....

Yes, the word needs to be capitalized ;)
And ninja'd but true.

well, THAT was out of left field.
Getting to be? It's been like that for years- if it weren't for the time-skip I'm sure we'd still be on the same day.
eh, there would probably have been a couple of days injected there, but they DO have a knack for forgetting how many hours are in a day, don't they?
-
No. Konig thought pickle-man served same master. Pickle-man called master "her", so master must be female. This bear did not know who master was, after all.
Eh, I was under the impression that Konig knew who Krosp was. Either way the mistake could still work, because Cats don't exactly let it all hang out, if you pardon the expression.
-
well, THAT was out of left field.
eh, there would probably have been a couple of days injected there, but they DO have a knack for forgetting how many hours are in a day, don't they?
My personal theory is that time stops being linear when a Spark enters the Madness Place.
-
You must obey me! I have the Shiny Thing!
Okay, that needs to be the title of the next thread. O0
-
I think the story is moving along quite well...you just have to expect that it will get caught in a section for a couple...years from time to time.
Also, Tweedle? What a great way to insert your foot into your mouth..would you like some salt and pepper to go with it? >:D
-
I hope somebody has a camera handy, because I know a LOT of people that'll want to remember Tweedle just. Like. That. ;D
-
He certainly does a great job of opening his mouth and inserting his foot up to at least his knee before thinking. And we are quite enjoying this as well.
-
As a royalty he can afford to have his footware done in flavours, so putting his foot in his mouth is not as much a problem as it is for us, plebes.
-
should we point and laugh now, or is it better humor to wait until the other shoe drops (into his mouth, with the way he's handling this)?
-
We point and laugh at both occasions.
-
Ah squashy...dost thou enjoy the taste of bipedal-designed bovine extract?
-
Yes Violetta, we too like watching Martellus getting thwarted preferably through ample use of blunt force
It's the magnet guy!!!
-
waaaaaaaaait....if they kick that thing down the shaft then-
HUMONGULUS, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
-
You assume Humongulous would be defeated by a mere train that doesn't even know the meaning of lyft! >:D
-
Oh! Oh! Oh! My favorite mad (other than Agatha) just showed up for the party! AWESOME!
-
I love this guy! An ADHD scatterbrained spark!
-
tweedle, you and sanity have no love lost. in fact, making her irate by involving her in all of this is probably not helping.
-
When charming woodland creatures attack.
-
This may be good! He wrote it down and everything! WooHoo!
-
we should probably add "surprise bear attacks" to the weather report. somewhere in the same index as condiment rains and possibility of plucky sidekick hail.
-
...plucky sidekick hail.
Is that what you call a typical Starfleet away team?
-
When charming woodland creatures attack.
Note in the previous frame, some of the Bears were conspicuously wearing gold necklaces & arm rings?
-
I guess black bears were used as template for creation of these bears as they climb.
-
I was totally expecting the bear to throw the engineer toward the engine.
-
I was totally expecting the bear to throw the engineer toward the engine.
engineers aren't areodynamic enough for that. too much extraneous ballast.
-
engineers aren't areodynamic enough for that. too much extraneous ballast.
F-4s sorta had the same problem; they solved the problem by putting a lot of thrust behind it. Same solution here. >:D

It's the sudden deceleration that hurts....
O:-)

Eh, he looks like he has enough padding. >:D
-
Well....today proves there is monk trainees, sorta monks, kinda monks, wannabe monks, a true (but fat) dedicated monk, and a bear that knows how to climb.
-
Hey, Dupree is back!
-
Hey, Dupree is back!
And there was much...rejoicing? Wailing and gnashing of teeth?
-
Mayham.
-
the pirates must be doing awfully well for themselves if they've got their own branding. or badly, depending on your opinion of a pirate doing well. #P

yes. 8)

"You are without a doubt the worst pirate I have ever heard of."
"But you have heard of me."
-
I have a slight feeling that Klaus took control right now.
-
i wonder if the baron's microscopic cerebral control monkeys will settle for seeing it destroy itself in action?
-
I guess Ulm didn't make it :-\
-
You know..I think that assessment of the train is the sanest thing we have heard from Gil in a LONG time..
-
Or is that Klaus talking
-
I think it was some of both.
The "oh cool" bit was Gil...the rest was Klaus I think...
-
Ohhhhhhhhhh! They have cake!
-
Bang has a weakness?
-
Everybody loves cake...right? ;)
-
unless the cake makes her less prone to killing.... cake isn't a weakness, it's an objective.
-
Will kill for cake.
-
Better hope that the cake isn't a lie.
-
It's even worse when the cheesecake is a lie...I like cheesecake...
-
Have you seen the female character designs in this comic? You're not the only one who likes cheesecake. O0

Having seen Kaja, I'd attest to his impeccable taste.

*snicker*
"That's really amazing - but whatever it is you're doing, KNOCK IT OFF!"
Girl talk amongst lethal women...too funny.
-
Bang is adorable. be still my heart- she might mistake you for juicy target if you move too much.
-
It's good to be able to take some time off, with cake and tea, while the sparks do the science stuff.
-
DuPree may have underestimated Zeetha; also, it looks like whatever Agatha did turned the little clank off. :o
-
"I'm not acting...Hey!" LOL!
-
Here comes Lucrezia!
-
Here comes Lucrezia!
To quote one of my favorite childhood characters..."Rut roh, Rorge!"
-
this entire comic feels like end of the Clue movie- constantly chasing the butler while he lays out the plot twists all at once.
-
"Shhh, dear. Grownups are talking."

Have you guys already established that Klaus imposed himself on his son and how?
I'm not that much into theorizing ahead of time, but I'm curious if this was already pretty clear. For me it was kind of a surprise, but makes perfect sense on reflection.

Klaus pretty much revealed it at the end of book 13.

I completely forgot about that one.
-
Ah, so she did remember the locket.
-
funny she'd try to conquer the place using mind control, considering how many of the problem folks are entirely out of theirs.
SO! what's in the cake?
-
probably a sedative...
-
Well the cake doesn't need to be a sedative, its there to keep her busy until all the clockwork electronics reset.
-
Cake is cake, everything else is unimportant.
I think I might be reading Vexxarr too much.
-
Peace through superior flour power!
-
That locket better reboot darn soon - that last frame sent shivers down my spine.
-
That locket better reboot darn soon - that last frame sent shivers down my spine.
i doubt the baron trusts her nearly enough to believe that, man hardly trusts himself enough to relax for a moment's rest.

Sacrifice his son and his best friends daughter. I think Klaus will make the right choice. Even for his Empire he won't sacrifice his son I think.
-
Sacrifice his son and his best friends daughter. I think Klaus will make the right choice. Even for his Empire he won't sacrifice his son I think.
He might be willing to sacrifice anything for his empire...
-
This comic has entirely too many unresolved plots going on.
-
He might be willing to sacrifice anything for his empire...
Luckily that's not Klaus....
-
Definitely a knockout formula in the cake.
-
and her last act before dropping out was to laugh in gil's face.
...how very sparky.
-
Wow! He just fell over! Imagine that! What a weasel he is!
-
i imagine that tweedle has quite a few pf these unexplained passing out incidents.
-
PFM (Pure [Freaking] Magic)
-
Smoke Knights. They get all the blame.
-
Wow...it's like an invisible hand reached out and smacked him or something. I didn't see ANYTHING AT ALL. Did you?
Nope. NOT A THING. The cake must have finally taken effect. RIGHT?
Of course, brother, of course.
Oh come on! Would you two stop talking about me like I'm not even here? I can hear every word you know. Now help me bundle these people up.
Of course, dear.
-
People just spontaneously collapse into their cake all the time. That's just science fact.
-
That reminds me of my sister. When she was three, she did fall asleep right in her birthday cake.
-
So...
Krosp is MIA...
With a large portion of the bear army...
What's there to be worried about?
-
nothing, this happening is going to result in all loose threads being tied and the plot advancing briskly.
*twitch*
-
Manei Domini can only dream of sharing brother Ulm's fate.
-
Who/what is in the little clank - the mega-train's soul/essence/whatever?
-
Who/what is in the little clank - the mega-train's soul/essence/whatever?
Pretty sure that's the Heterodyne monster train that they just defeated.
-
More likely a trainer AI from some old train.
-
And now I've got a certain Duke Ellington tune stuck in my head.
-
Well, I was wrong.
-
So...they're on the Underground now?
-
It's the subway to Paris that's all >:D
-
Gil just had a relevation that might help him undo what his father did in Mechanicsburg.
-
If something scares/intimidates du Pree...be very wary/afraid.
-
You can always count on brit to crack a joke about tea ;D O0
-
nice to see Tweedle has resumed his proper role of light comedy. though i was hoping to see Gil's new hat!
gods, this comic makes no sense even when you make sense of it.
-
Every once in a while things make sense.
Don't let these moments alarm you. They pass.
-
And most of time they're just illusions.
-
"but they need to update their baron puppet"
poor tweedle isn't terribly perceptive, is he? that or he's never met gil before now.....
-
Makes me think of the song, "You Can Leave Your Hat On." 8)
-
the puppet show reminded me of this:

Makes me think of the song, "You Can Leave Your Hat On." 8)
Agreed, though that might have been intentional.
with the Professor and Professora you never know
-
Seffie seems awfully savvy; maybe some of that will rub off on Martellus?
-
Not a chance. He is too self-absorbed. He definitely cannot take a hint, even if the hint is a building being dropped onto him.
-
Which makes dropping buildings on him so much more fun.
-
precisely...:)
-
Why is nobody's trap sense going off?!
-
it is. it just goes off all the time now. everything is and is not a trap at the same time. quantum danger is a fairly common problem for mad scientists.
-
It's really rude to interrupt a lady (or any other sentinent being) while eating a cake. Same goes for icecream.
-
Oh dear! Just when you least expect it.........Der Kestle! Ohhhhhhhh, those guys are soooooooooooo screwed!
-
Oh, this'll be fun...
-
Now we have two more villains who need to be rescued from Agatha.
-
one question is.. is this piece of Der Kestle now in communication with the the main part, and will it recognize agatha?
-
We don't know either of those...and finding out will be half the fun! >:D
-
Given that Der Kestle is trapped in the time field, I doubt this piece is in communication with it. Based on previous examples it will probably recognize Agatha, though.

Do not assume Der Kestle suffers from the spacial limitations of organic intelligences.
-
Am I the only one who imagines Der Kestle being voiced by Tim Curry?
-
I always leaned more towards Christopher Lee.
-
But this voice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kF0x5qFwEp4) works so well...
-
And THIS is what you get when you interrupt someone in the middle of eating cake...
-
Am I the only one who imagines Der Kestle being voiced by Tim Curry?
I always leaned more towards Christopher Lee.
I'm rather partial towards Vincent Price.
-
Mark Hamill
-
He would do an amazing crazy castle...;)
-
For maximum creepy, what about a Little Sister voice? :D
-
For maximum creepy, what about a Little Sister voice? :D
We have a winner!
-
One must make do with the tools one has, you know.
Gotta LOVE Castle Heterodyne!
-
Huzzah for Der Kestle! I missed him.
-
Well, that's the easy way to get things done.
-
Agatha: "Can you stop that, or do I have to run around pulling levers and cutting wires?"
Der Kestle: "Hmmm...do you want to?"
A: "Not particularly!"
DK: "Tch. Very well, then, it's off...but it's more fun the other way!"
A: "Hah - No danger of feeling homesick with you here!"
DK: "Hee hee! Thank you!"
I really, really, really have missed Der Kastle.
-
that du quay fellow seems to have dropped a few IQ points after that last blow.
so who's got the odds on that "master of paris" being a puppet? as in the actual sort, not the political sort.
-
''My homework ate my dog'' :D
-
''My homework ate my dog'' :D
really, that's just an excuse to build a better dog! like installing booster rockets, or laser guidance systems! or rocket-guided, laser-powered booster systems! O:-)
-
Wow, der Kestle Mk II is now a little clank!
-
And he knows exactly what a duck sounds like! ;D

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....LOL! ;D

Those who started read the comic just recently. Like I.
-
Those who started read the comic just recently. Like I.
Haha! Welcome to the insanity, then! Also....expect them to be in paris for 9 RL years...as it took them 3 years
(I think) to get through the less than a day they were in the castle.
-
finally, we're going to get back to the plotline introduced in the first issue!
...ah, WAXFRUIT. we're about to jumpcut back to Gil, aren't we?
-
And then we'll switch over to some other character who hasn't been mentioned in six years, then we'll have another interlude with the characters doing another fairy tale, then Phil will take a month off...
-
May I introduce to you, Meton of Athens! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meton_of_Athens)
-
not the first timethey've used a historical person as a spark..
i introduce you to Van Rijin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rembrandt)..
-
Come for the airships, stay for the "humanity".
Now THAT'S an airshow to watch...from a distance. ;D
-
aaaand back to gil. sort of. well, that's cute.
....the locket isn't gonna be a major plot point like three days/six books from now, right?
-
Of course not.
Three days is probably closer to nine books from now. #P
-
Perfection, they name is Higgs.
-
As always Higgs is the voice of reason.
-
And I suspect a bad pun. After all, the advice of the Higgs Bosun carries weight, no?
-
But will Gil's words reflect that gravitas?
-
I love Higgs...:)
-
Every spark needs a loyal sidekick that is willing (and capable) of beating some common sense into him from time to time.
-
Every spark needs a loyal sidekick that is willing (and capable) of beating some common sense into him from time to time.
Poor Gil has at least two of them ;D
-
Since there is two of them in his head...
-
But will Gil's words reflect that gravitas?
I imagine that a Spark's love letter is 1% actual romantic content and 99% non-sequitors, design sketches, and advanced theory on how to automate the romantic process.
-
a masked ball? why Foglios, there must be a million ways that could go wrong! will you be able to find time to fit them all in the comic?
I imagine that a Spark's love letter is 1% actual romantic content and 99% non-sequitors, design sketches, and advanced theory on how to automate the romantic process.
this never works and is generally why sparks don't marry much.
-
It does help explain the storytime theme about teaching a robot to love...
-
Well, well, well! We finally get to see the often mentioned "Grandmother"!
-
Once again... I love the background art.
"Eau de Humanity" ;D
-
Voyeur tube.....what a wonderful way to describe a telescope!
-
I guess someone has learned from Seth Brundle's example.
-
Voyeur tube.....what a wonderful way to describe a telescope!
Who said it was a telescope? Maybe it's a "looker through walls." Or maybe it's a "looker through..." ahem...other things...;)
-
If Agatha were member of a BattleTech clan, would she be in science caste or in merchant caste? O0

Both.

So this is where the gheisterdammen went.

so business as usual then. O:-)
-
OTHAR! WOOHOO!
-
Who else would you expect to come back normal?
8)
-
Normal? That would require a mayor shift in his personality.
-
OTHAR! WOOHOO!
No no. you have to say it correctly.

-
Normal for him...;)
-
Who else would you expect to come back normal?
8)
Well......as normal as Othar ever approaches the obscure concept of normality.
-
The poor, disappointed gaggle of female onlookers...
-
Not all of those onlookers were female.
-
Not all of those onlookers were female.
Hard to tell; nice choice on the part of Phil. Though he and Kaja have always generally been a "live and let live" sort of pair in some regards.
-
Well, he used to publish a porn comic that was known for its themes regarding consenting relationships between men, women, and species that didn't fit into easily identifiable genders.
-
Ah, yes. Xxxenophile.
-
Well, he used to publish a porn comic that was known for its themes regarding consenting relationships between men, women, and species that didn't fit into easily identifiable genders.
Yep, as mentioned, by The Mighty ACHOO, "Xxxenophile." In a sci-fi satire book he collaborated on, "Illegal Aliens," there were a few risque comments throughout, so it's not like it's a subject he's ever shied away from; then, of course, there was the infamous episode of "What's New? with Phil and Dixie" that never quite happened.
-
ok Jenka is hot. and she cleans up very well.
-
And it's only been, what, 11 years since she was last in the comic?
-
Is she jäger who dressed up like assassin? The one who forgives. Once.
-
And it's only been, what, 11 years since she was last in the comic?
2 years.
http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20131101#.Vms63b_ME2c

Hmmm, a wasped assassin?
-
...sorry, assassins.

This is going to get interesting...and there will be questions about this as well....

From frying pan into the fire.

From frying pan into the fire.
and now to watch the pan get dropped back onto their heads!
-
Dimo uses his head...
-
A first? :)
-
And of course Agatha has a device she wants to try out.
-
She always has some new gadget to try out.
These wasps are just giving her an excuse to do it...they are so nice to volunteer for your experimentation....
-
And of course Agatha has a device she wants to try out.
it's not a dues ex machina, that's just a character quirk! don't mention you've been needing a haircut around her, i hear she has the dandiest new laser she wants to try out on someone (else)!
-
Are that von Zinzer and Violetta in the Christmas picture.
-
"How many pockets do you think I have?"
"Well, obviously, not enough."
Classic; love it!
-
The lesson here is clear, avoid excessive top down minion management.
-
Agatha wants to drink coffee! :D
-
It's OK, as long as she is not making the machine that is being used to make the coffee. O0
-
No it's not OK, you don't want a spark as powerfull as her to be as hyper as she is after coffe.
-
One princess has mouth wide open, waiting for foot to be inserted ;D
-
This webcomic is beginning to bore me with it's too slow pacing and an overabundance of characters, both new old.
-
Wait, if that was a concern, you can't possibly have lasted this long...
-
It's been what, five days since she reached Mechanicsburg?
-
No, there was a time-skip.
Also, they're in Paris right now.
But without the time-skip we'd probably still be in Mechanicsburg on the same day as the comic was on 4 years ago.
-
But I think it is still something like five days for Agatha and Violetta.
-
Students. Students never change.
-
I suspect we're going to want to know what's in that giant red bulb...
-
"I think there's a fundamental flaw in your logic."
Si mobile ...

What's been waiting for 100 years? ???

A familiar face crops up, time for theories about the Other.

I wouldn't say Gill was wishing for more pain, but I'm quite sure he did.

one wonders how much of that pain is actually required by the procedure......well, all in the name of Science!TM

"He always sounds like that when he is in pain. Takes me back...."
Gotta love Bang. >:D

says the guy who has Klingons in his avatar. A true Klingon would admire and desire a woman like Bangladesh Dupree. :P
I think Bang would be even a little too crazy and bloodthirsty for a Klingon. 8)
-
Lets face it, if they existed in the same universe the Klingons would have made her Empress in short order.
Challenger
-
Good lord, how powerful is that hairdryer?!?
-
It was made by a Spark. It probably goes from "gentle breeze" to "F5."
-
If it's made by a spark, I highly doubt there's a 'gentle breeze' setting.
I'm just looking at his hair length in that panel versus all the others...yeek.
-
If it's made by a spark, I highly doubt there's a 'gentle breeze' setting.
Why? We just saw it. :D
-
Oh, man! Bang is so I wanna maim, kill, or at least hurt Tarvek and now she is his bodyguard? She has to keep him from being maimed, killed, or even hurt even a little? Ohhhhhhhhhh, this is going to be tooooooo good!
-
once again, i gotta agree with everything Bang says. though i think Tarvek might be immune to mental trauma at this point, i mean nothing else has had lasting effects....
-
I loved the look on her face in the last panel.
-
Come to think of it Othar reminds me of what Carrot might have become if he was directed towards life of adventurer, instead city guard in Ankh Morph.
-
"Quickly, we've been had! Kidnappers are attacking and we have to save them before DuPree kills them all and i won't have anyone to interrogate!"
Bang is the best character. i know i say that every time, but it's true every time.
-
I wonder how many pies did Robur eat before Corbetites arrived.
-
Come to think of it Othar reminds me of what Carrot might have become if he was directed towards life of adventurer, instead city guard in Ankh Morph.
New action figure! Now with free preventative and nondescript sword!
-
Special attack - throwing book at the evildoers.
-
And whatever it is, I assume it's better to be left in the crypts. However that would rob us of some fun so I fully support Agatha's future decision to seek out the device.
-
i like that even the evil geniuses of old knew that pie was a pretty good way to butter up people to help you. not as much as i like that the story seems to be ready to move forward again!
-
Talk about preparing for everything.
-
I smell food.... O0
-
Ho, this dropped from Page 1!? This cannot be allowed to happen!
I really *do* love Jaegers.
Agatha: "Maybe it's a Jaeger shredding machine?"
Dimo: "No vay. Dey melted dot down."
A: "Ah, it seems I have much to learn about the rich and varied history of the Jaegers."
D: "Uh-vell-mostly dere's a lot of biting."
-
Buy History of Jägers, second edition, now with 150 new hat illustrations! And even more biting!
-
"F'TAGN to FOGLIO"
I kinda want to visit this library, and I kinda really don't.
-
What sound does a Jaeger make when put into a shredding machine?
>:D
I only ask because SCIENCE! compels me...

Come loyal minions! It is time to do RESEARCH!

"Vot! But hy vos ON GUARD!" Poor Dimo.
"Less kissing. This is important." Well, she seems to have her priorities straight.

I think it's a veiled reference to the diet of worms and the miring of Martain Luthier in some rather odd left field theological arguments.

Reminds me about this page in Grrl Power (http://grrlpowercomic.com/comics/2013-04-15-GP0137.jpg)
-
Yeah...if I were to ever have a Genie, I would not ask for x-ray vision...
Superman's vision maybe...his commonly accepted style of vision. One must be careful around Genies after all. They like to take things literally and give you something you asked for that was not what you wanted...;)
-
Oh that pesky x-ray vision...getting guys in trouble ever since they first started imagining it...
They're sparks, of course they added an X-Ray filter.
-
that headgear is giving off a lot of smoke. i mean it seems to be part of the design and all, but should we be any more worried about it than any other random thing in this story?
They're sparks, of course they added an X-Ray filter.
how can the clank pope absolve you of sin without an x-ray filter to locate?

And this is why you bring along assistants and/or hirelings.

SCIENCE!

that headgear is giving off a lot of smoke. i mean it seems to be part of the design and all, but should we be any more worried about it than any other random thing in this story?
Dude! It's steam powered! The "smoke" is coming out of the smokestack! IT'S SCIENCE!

And all we wanted was the lantern!

Is it green? ;)

Silly smoke knight! Sometimes the hidden trap is the muse that is blatantly, openly, obviously as hell right out in plain sight.

STORM KING!

I think I liked their other King-from-the-distant-past better...
-
STORM KING!
Dun dun dun!
-
Stormy!
Martellus is going to have to rethink things.
-
Well, this is quite the plotline twist, even for a comic known for its plotline twists!
-
So what was the original Storm King supposed to be...
You know...other than sightly irritable and seemingly rather powerful?

"The greatest king of all times" - according to Master Payne.

Considering that a mere touch from him did something in the previous page....
-
my guess? a Conan type dude who was the only guy able to stand up to the early Heterodynes.
and later generations embellished and altered his story to make it more acceptable to the people of the day, making it seem more noble than it originally was.

I'm predicting Philip Fry's first experience with the tubes in New New York...

i wonder how fast "faster than you'd like" is?
Rip your clothes off fast? ;D O0

I hope she lets Dimo eat him.
Then again I haved also hoped the author would work faster but... meh. At least I have something new to read Mon, Wed, and Fri.
-
Caught up with GG for the first time in months and....armour bikinis everywhere!
-
''Rogue professor of colour theory'' apparently stuff like that happens all the time.
-
Honestly, I'd expect researchers specializing in fields like that to be more likely to go rogue and take over a vast underground kingdom. How else are you going to get any time out of the office?
-
explain 20 years of expenditures? i think that is the deadest man we've seen in this comic to date. his corpse is going to be doing a lot of paperwork for them.....
-
What are the chances Agatha will be propelled to the surface and land in front of a large cheering crowd.
Allowing for what she has on, and how she is normally envisaged as so urbane, I think pretty high.
-
I like how Dimo was so enthusiastic about being launched like out of a cannon until he heard there would be no smoke, fire and Kaboom.
-
wow, an invention i'd always dreamed of using (on others), let's see what happens!

Transportation artillery, Things to Come got there in style and wasn't the first either.

The best part is she's winning while making a mockery of the assassin's trade. This is the most unprofessional killing i've ever witnessed, and I've dome some very stupid things with a Stinger. <3 <3 <3

Arise, and wreak havoc on the world once more! Show them, show them all!!!
So here's a question. Many of the GG books are sitting in my FLGS on their half-off shelf, so naturally I've been steadily snatching them up. Came across an interesting bit in book seven, in the crypt of the Heterodynes:
http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20070810#.WyhnTvlOldZ
I've been thinking about it for ages, but I still don't get it. What is the significance of the timing of Klaus Heterodyne's birth and death? I keep looking for some hidden meaning, but I'm getting nothing. Am I looking too deep?
-

Death? Nothing other than he died when Lucy went nuts. Birth? Well, two YEARS would be an awfully long gestation period if the implication given by the name was actually real. As it is, Klaus's name is a sign of the friendship the Heterodynes had with Wulfenbach and nothing more.
-
So the only thing it's saying is that he definitely is NOT the Baron's son, nothing else?
-

i think the point was that people kept assuming that the Heir was Klaus's son.. despite the fact Klaus 'vanished' long before the kid could have been conceived, given his age.

Anyone else getting the impression that it's the RAEF doing the pillaging and regiciding? I have wonder if Albia is trying to reestablish contact with her peers, or if she likes her current state of having no effective peers on her level, and is taking steps to keep things that way. If so, Zeetha's probably VERY lucky that Skifander's queens are mortal these days...

that was my first impression too.. but then i noticed the scenery and city style is totally different between panels 5 and 6, the people walking away from the burning city in panel 6 are clearly barbarians of somekind, not quasi-british, and the bit about Ubar and Queen Ishtar-Re clearly makes it sound like the city and its Queen was found intact.
that said, i wouldn't be surprised to find out that if the Royal Archeological Expeditions find one of these old kingdoms still living, but without their old immortal queens, that the next thing the Albion's do is send an conquering army to induct them into the Empire..

Higgs' "bosun" rank was appended by fans who got a little carried away putting 2 and 2 to get 5, he's really just a lowly airman
I got to say, the bit a few pages back where he revealed himself was excellent
if anything can put the fear of Heterodyne in Tarvek, it's probably a secret Jagergeneral calling his bluff

Is it unfair of me that I look at Schlock Mercenary and it's uninterrupted publishing history, and wish the Foglios would put in less filler?
I have to say yes, it is unfair of you. I enjoy most of the fillers, in particular their take on Cinderella and
"Any sufficiently analyzed magic is indistinguishable from science!"
-
The way I would put it is that GG relies on a very lush art style that probably takes longer than the daily strip style Howard Taylor uses. Taylor is also unusually dedicated and disciplined to a degree that most artists and storytellers couldn't manage. Shoot, even print cartoonists who have to labor to keep up a two-week-plus buffer don't last this long. They tend to retire from the field, descend into mediocrity, or hand the strip off to another artist.

Just came across this. https://scryfall.com/search?q=a%3A%E2%80%9CPhil+Foglio%E2%80%9D&unique=art

"to make sandwiches, punch monsters"
-
Gil knows Bang well ;D
-
Ah, foiled by the appetite of a cat! One of the classic blunders in faking a murder, alongside hiding in the attic of the murder scene!
-
Cool guys don't look at explosions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqz5dbs5zmo), and Tarvek & Higgs are very cool indeed
-
Farwell Smakken, we hardly knew you.
-
I need a reminder, who's Violetta again?
-
Tarvek's cousin. Smoke Knight. Agatha's personal ninja.
-
Tarvek's favorite cousin. Who was also his own minder/bodyguard for awhile.
Personally i dont think she's dead. Dying maybe, but doing her own hunting.
And heck, they are are in a building full of mad scientists, one of them a hetereodyne. She won't be staying dead for long.
-
Tarvek's cousin. Smoke Knight. Agatha's personal ninja.
Aah, the one who fought 4-armed bitch
-
I'd like to hear more about violetta's lap, myself. Besides, she can't be dead- then there'd be less loose ends in the story! ;D
-
"They're summoning something from another dimension! That's Amazing! I've got to see how it works!"
Gotta love sparks.
-
Going be her waking from her Spark-state says "What was i doing?!!?"
I suspect that nasty thing that killed all the Queens will end up popping out despite hints its in side Agatha.
-
I wonder if "it" has come through already ::)
-
But the main question is if they will still get to do the song.
-
I wonder if "it" has come through already ::)
Perhaps Lucrezia will look at Lucrezia and the paradox will toss Agatha right back to that black and white street where she was a student looking shocked at an opening portal.
-
Perhaps Lucrezia will look at Lucrezia and the paradox will toss Agatha right back to that black and white street where she was a student looking shocked at an opening portal.
probably not, since Gil isn't present in Geister costume.
-
see, that's the problem with monsters from out of the light of time. they can't concentrate! pick one frame of time to work forward from and stick with it!
-
Interdimensional allies. Okay I wasn't expecting that.
-
Interdimensional allies. Okay I wasn't expecting that.
Nobody reading girl genius expects things to work out for the better, for the same reason dogs are afraid of thunderstorms. the Foglios are clever, nasty writers.
-
I'm still not convinced our new guest isn't the same critter about to come/is coming/has already come through the portal. The odds are admittedly dropping, but it still seems like the kind of thing this story would doing.
-
That thing isn't all the way through, barely a glimpse, and I'm already getting Lovecraftian vibes.
-
I'm still not convinced our new guest isn't the same critter about to come/is coming/has already come through the portal. The odds are admittedly dropping, but it still seems like the kind of thing this story would doing.
from the looks of things, it is of the same type as the multi-dimensional critter that is on the way to time-locked mechanicsburg.
just much much much smaller.
-
Someone tell her to go back and come back in a few eons when the place is cleaned up, yeah? we still haven't cleared up the plot threads from issue 1 yet!
-
YES!! Still alive, and pissed off enough that I almost pity the cultists! The monster, I'll pity. He/she/it/they/Kraft has no clue what's about to happen, he/she/it/they/Kraft is just answering the doorbell. The cultists...they shoulda known better. >:D
-
Violetta's disappearance was far too tidy to be real death, but I can't believe I hadn't guessed that she was the sacrifice.
I thought it was a cunning plan to lure and sacrifice Agatha herself.
-
the real villain is whoever is doing the tailoring on that undersea base!
-
Time to take out the trash!
-
Vapnoodle might be a little high on the crazy scale, but i have to admit he's an attentive mentor!
-
Vapnoodle
Name is Vapnoople >:(
-
"an easy victory!" This sentence worries me more than the entire rest of the story thus far, i gotta say. :-\
-
YES!
IT WORKED!
-
Also a bold plan to revolutionize the diplomacy.
-
YES!
IT WORKED!
Don't be too sure. Klaus is not stupid and may well play along with Tarvek.
I can see this because he would not take seriously any suggestion that Gilgamesh would be supportive of diplomatic efforts of Othar Trygvassen Gentleman Adventurer.
The alarmist 'what' is a sure sign he recognises what Tarvek is doing, and the confirmation afterwards is nothing to me but a ruse. This is not to say Gilgamesh isn't back, Klaus is a secondary personality riding all the time though and can appear at any time, and will appear at some times.
There is no actual presence of Agatha, so there might not be an actual forced draw of Klaus to the surface personality, this is also a warning to the Klaus personality riding in Gil. Klaus is anything but stupid and a fair contender for the title of most powerful spark alive. Tarvek ought to know better frankly.
However that being said Dimo witnessed all this and is very sharp. He will also keep his own council. As will Bosun Higgs (who I believe to be the hidden Jaeger general). I think it will play out thus, Tarvek is a cocksure genius, but there are far wiser heads in the room. Hidden Klaus may well emerge later, and I will not be surprised if Dimo and Higgs will be have prepared for when he does.
-
The alarmist 'what' is a sure sign he recognises what Tarvek is doing-
That is entirely dependent on him not believing his son an absolute screwup- which if he did he would very likely not have grafted that personality override in the first place. This one is up in the air until we know for sure (which will probably only take a few pages, really).
-

Klaus knows his son is not a screwup. He set up elaborate tests for Gil's development using Dr Beetle and others. Later he proved his competence very spectacularly at the gates of Mechanicsburg. Klaus was rightly proud of that.
Gil has fought Othar enough times to know him, Klaus allowed Othar's escapes to test Gil and was confident his son would not team up with him. The only concern Klaus has is regarding Gilgamesh's emotional entanglements. He is in love with a dangerous woman channeling The Other, and smitten enough that knowing that doesn't give him pause.
Klaus trusts his son almost completely, standing orders were given for transfer of control of Wulfenbach assets to Gilgamesh, which was enacted on Klaus's self imprisonment. There was a rumour, probably cultivated by Klaus that his heir was a lunatic who had to be kept holed up in castle Wulfenbach. Pinkie believed that one so likely many of her employers did also. We know also that Klaus smirks when people understimate his son, and warned Bang not to do so.
I am convinced that the personality override has nothing to do with Gilgameshs competence and fitnesx to rule but is there to prevent Gilgamesh from being infleunced by the Other. As final proof he was willing to release control back to Gilgamesh to fully employ his abilities as a spark.
Now I am biased here, Klaus and Gilgamesh are my favourite characters. If I somehow tumbled into this horribly dangerous world I would sign up to team Wulfenbach over any other choices.
-

The Klaus Personality said so himself; whether or not they can de-Lucrezia Agatha, Klaus doesn't trust a Heterodyne and doesn't want Gil and her together. That's what the Override is for.
-
Just a little post-surgery maiming, come on! Like....take a leg or something, make him eat those sideburns of his.
Really Agatha is too soft now and then.
-
Funny thing. I had some time to kill, i endup reading through Buck Godot and MysticAdventures webcomics. They can still be found if you use web.archive.org.
I wish they had continued the Buck Godot series, it was fun to read.
-
Oooh, I am liking this current story arc of "jerk only needs to convince people he's not the worst person they know and is failing awfully". I legitimately can't tell if wunderdoofus is trying to provoke Krosp or he's just insufferable by nature....
-
He was insufferable by nature, but worked hard to make his insufferability even worse.
-
I guess Agatha properly not going end up getting rid of the "Other" locked in her.
-
I guess Agatha properly not going end up getting rid of the "Other" locked in her.
well they have a viable plan (note that the test run on Gil worked, as the baron is no longer present) and the modification probably will to. the question is whether they'll get a chance to do it anytime soon, given all the interruptions. (and even then, we'll just have a Dingbot-Other running around. perhaps they should design the receptacle to not have any limbs..)
-
Hahaha today's is so cute.
-
Science can only do so much.
-
Suddenly then British Commandos murder everybody!
Or they look like'em.
-
Ah, the sign of true friendship! Getting the crab beaten out of you for your own good. That'll teach 'er.
-
Haven't we all been there at some point, having to smack down a friend or being smacked down by a friend for your own good.
-
Haven't we all been there at some point, having to smack down a friend or being smacked down by a friend for your own good.
So they said xp >:(
-
Ah, I wondered when Albia would make an appearance.
-
Whuh? Bang has university schooling and background with theater? I've also forgot how she got down there in the first place. Can you remind me?
-
That's not Bang, it's the Smoke Knight that came with Martellus.
-
Weird she only uses her scary smile against her enemies.... :P
-
That's not Bang
Sure looks similar. Are they sisters or otherwise related?
-
Sure looks similar. Are they sisters or otherwise related?
it's the haircut and forehead thing, i think. we've seen no reason to beleive they've got a connection.
that said, this is foglio writing we're dealing with.
-
I wonder how Agatha going get out of this one. My odds are she going keep the "other" aka her mom, in her head by the end of this situation.
-
it's the haircut and forehead thing, i think. we've seen no reason to beleive they've got a connection.
Also the skull tag. Bang has it on her forehead, the other one has it on her collar.
-
Apparently the Collar no longer works to suppressing Agtha's room mate (aka her Mom).
-
I wonder how Agatha going get out of this one. My odds are she going keep the "other" aka her mom, in her head by the end of this situation.
i doubt it. at this point it's more of an obstacle to the writing than a plot device, getting rid of it now would be fine.
now, that extracted mongfish copy getting away and leading to two opposing versions of her both pestering them (and each other) well, that's just Funtm.....
-
Since when did Violetta get hulk mode?
-
Saw that too. My decision was that it's how she's naturally built as a smoke knight. Just the angles and her exposes shoulders yielded a nice view of guns that would rival most soldiers' fitness.
-
A few pages before. She took some drugs.
-
I wonder how messed up Agtha will be after they sort this up. Even they pull her Mom out her head. She changed.
-
Time for a cut to a completely different story thread!
-
Time for a cut to a completely different story thread!
For two years.
-
on the bright side, they HAVE to get mongfish out of agatha's head now. it's just too much trouble to justify them going off on side-stories with her like that!
-
I guess that in 2 years they'll have figured something out?
-
20 bucks says we get Ivo Sharktooth on Monday. :D
-
20 bucks says we get Ivo Sharktooth on Monday. :D
Put me down for a return of Other Tryggvassen.
-
Is it possible they'll end up doing big thing on Halloween? It would make sense given that could be a big scary situation.
-
Is it possible they'll end up doing big thing on Halloween? It would make sense given that could be a big scary situation.
Agatha is now a superpowered giantess villain, aaand scene. On Friday we begin a new chapter as...
-
well, agatha is a demigod with a mongfish running her brain i guess. interesting?
-
And she is out! But certain character I was fond of died, very unlikely to be ever revived.
-
Things seem to be becoming more a jumble as Agtha's crew grows as is her reverse harem.
-

At least we got conclusion to an even without predicted scene change in the cliffhanger. As for today's page, for some reason it made me think a phrase: "Knee deep in blood"
-
I do wonder what's going happen with powers Agtha's her mom gained while she was a Queen.
-
I do wonder what's going happen with powers Agtha's her mom gained while she was a Queen.
i can only imagine the kind of zany hijinks the foglios will get into with nigh-godlike powers. oh wait, i don't have to. ;D
-
Spark powers are OP enough as it is.
They could just let Agatha heterodyne more.
-
And she is out! But certain character I was fond of died, very unlikely to be ever revived.
who is that? because i can't think of anyone on her crew that has died.
-
who is that? because i can't think of anyone on her crew that has died.
Wooster
Tad unceremoniously, too. I think at least a half page panel was in order.

Jägermonster rolls diplomacy check
...
SUCCESS!
-
Jagers are masters of effective conflict resolution.
Poor snag, he was probably hoping to be a recurring character. better luck next comic, dude!
-
Well, you got love well-prepared Jaeger. From Ghost Submarine Pirates to crazy like Cthulhu-like creatures, they got it covered.
-
Man that Lab is D-A-N-G-E-R-O-U-S. :o
-
"The Bugs.... they're inside!"
"Inside the perimeter?"
"Inside ME...!"
-
"The Bugs.... they're inside!"
"Inside the perimeter?"
"Inside ME...!"
I know that reference ;D
Starship Troopers 2
-
Somehow or another I expected the party to be where we see them now.
-
oh neat, i understand what's going to happen next! i can't wait to see how that feeling ends!
-
Looks like Agtha has been invited to come to dinner.
I can't wait for her to see ice sculpture of her as Mermaid! ;D
EDIT: ack, typo city.
-
Ice. Ice sculpture.
-
So that's an interesting bit of info that just slipped. Both about Zeetha and Higgs
-
So that's an interesting bit of info that just slipped. Both about Zeetha and Higgs
The implication is that Zeetha's healing is sort of like a low-level Jager brew?
-
No, it's the full thing. Jaegers are immortal, they progressively turn into monsters. It is a process that goes on for centuries. Most look mostly human, only the generals are more monsterous and are likely much older. We see this from the time advanced progression of Vole. He aged centuries in seconds and turned full on monster.
Question is, what about Gilgamesh? He had some jaegerdraught, but it wasn't as much as Zeetha. Agatha had some too, but probably will not turn, or Higgs would not have given her any. The Heterodynes are masters of the Dyne as so are not directly effected by it. This could mean Higgs has Heterodyne ancestry
The one difference is that neither of them swore the Jaeger oath, normally a prerequisite to getting the jaegerdraught. Both were I believe honorary Jaegers already. Gil certainly was with 'Schmott Guy', Zeetha had their respect but more to the point needed the draught to survive her injuries.
-
are we sure they got actual jeagerdraught, and not just a less potent derivative meant for healing?
also higgs having Heterodyne ancestry would explain his position as the keepr of secrets. who better to hold the secrets of the Heterodyne linage, than a Heterodyne?
-
If it was just for healing it would not give her two properties Oggie let slip, and Higgs believe are true:
Zeetha will live at least a century, and still be of sufficient vigour to be a worthy lover of a Jagermonster!
Zeetha will have mutated by then.
She is a Jaegerkin now. Her saving grace is that Agatha will act to halt the progression. She could end up an unkillable 'human' like Higgs, who is very likely the hidden Jaeger general. As Higgs does not mutate we have no idea how old he is, and could well be one of the most senior Jaegers.
-
are we sure Oggie knows what's what though? he's not exactly the sharpest, pointiest jaeger out there.
-
Is there a segment in the comic series that ever gets into historical detail about the culture, process, and so forth about Jagers? I know there's been lots of disparate tidbits through the series, but a lot of this strikes me as fan formalization with a lot of filling in of blanks.
But then I don't tend to register detail as well as others do in fiction.
-
Eesh i think jaeger are cool, but i'm not fan of the way they talk.
-

no, you're dead on there. me, i try not to guess what the plans are with the comic. girl genius is the sorta story where two plus two equals tootsie rolls.
-
There is an internal consistency to the tale, so I do not think the Foglios are making it up as they go along.
Oggie may be an unreliable source, but I don't think Higgs is, and he took what Oggie said seriously.
-
The Foglios are stated as having spent a long time planning the comic out. You can bet that they designed a whole background for the Jagers. And they probably had a LOT of fun doing it. ;D
Jägerdraught is what turn normal people into Jagers. But it has a VERY high mortality rate so I don't know if Mama would give it to Zeetha. Now Jägerdraught does contain Dyne water, but there is other stuff in it as well. Agatha was given pure Dyne water so no danger of becoming a Jager. Gil was given Battle-Draught which was a healing potion designed for Jaeger's but is supposed to have nasty side effects on normal people. But since Mama thought that Gil had been modified by Klaus she decided it was probably relatively safe. How much modification Gil did get is an open question to me since his mother is "theorized" to be the Skifander Queen and he may have come by some improvements "naturally". And let's face it Zeetha is far from a normal human. Normal people don't live after having a sword shoved through their heart. xp sm
-
I would not think of it any other way, that Foglios didn't write out master bible of Genius Girl universe. I've read their comics since was in my twenties, they put out good stuff.
I look forward what they have in store in for us. Part me want know if they will do a RPG of their universe agtha and the rest in habits. There certainly alot craziness for party people keep them busy and on their toes.
-

What other comics have they made?
-
What other comics have they made?
Sporadic stuff such as Buck Godot, he was future space detective. They did dabbling here and there, such as mech comic called Dynamo Joe. (I collected that one when i still kid.) They did adult comics and some side work with DC & Independent comics.
-
Buck Godot Zap Gun For Hire which gave us Winslow (All hail!)
-
i mean winslow was already there, but it gave us winslow.
-
Tis true, along with our pink winslow called Achoo whom causes trouble once in while here on the forums.
-
Oh....
Well....yes, good.
Of course you wouldn't bring guns to a diplomatic meeting, that's just common sense right?
-
It was brilliant insight of Agatha. Glad she listened to reason verses her "Spark" senses.
-
Must be influence of von Zinzer rubbing off on her.
-
I think it's almost as impressive that they all actually removed every weapon from that suit.
