MWO November free ’Mech event – Warhawk Prime
« on: 07 November 2023, 12:03:10 »

Just match score objectives this time, like a lot of the recent ones. Colors, a pattern, Phoenix Purple cockpit items... All in all, not bad, unless of course you happen to already own most of this stuff. The ’Mech itself is rock-solid, though, despite everything being in the arms. It's easily my favorite Warhawk configuration. Most people drop the LRMs and add heat sinks or something, but I run it stock and still get good results when I'm not driving like an idiot – and sometimes, even when I am.

Let's all go to Cargonia, land of stolen things
Obey the quartermaster unless he is a 'ling
Cargo techs guard the station and find more stuff to take
But the boss is never satisfied until the station breaks...

I got mine last night.  Not bad, but frankly its nothing special.  This thin armor Clan mech assault mechs makes them less usable to me.

Yeah, I’m sure it falls off in higher tier play eventually. It’s practically useless in most competitive formats, from what I’ve seen. But in QP, it punishes the low and mid tiers pretty hard.

But yeah, the relatively thin armor is something to consider when piloting a Warhawk, compounded by the fact that it looks a lot like a Dire Wolf at a distance, so people will shoot you as if you are one.

Those quirked Clan ER PPCs help it to dish out some damage.
