MSL & PNT: Erratum necessary?
« on: 28 November 2015, 16:48:03 »
This comment got me thinking.

CBT as it currently stands allows AMS to fire at each and every missile fired as part of a bay attack, and I'm pretty sure that's where the modifiers for Alpha Strike described on page 81 of ASC are rooted.  (e.g. PNT2 renders you immune to MSL attacks)

Now in CBT, enough AMS to convert to PNT4 (not PNT2) is enough to render you immune to any missile that's not a Kraken-T.

Now that single exceptional missile aside, should the AS rule that renders a unit immune to MSL attacks require PNT4 instead of PNT2?

If not, should the MSL damage type be treated as it is under the PV conversion system?  (what I'm asking is, shouldn't it be cheaper, since it's so easy to be made 100% ineffective)
