Firing Arcs for VTOLs?

I know the rules for firing arcs are on page 35 of the Alpha Strike core rule book. However, I don't see any diagrams for the VTOL firing arch. If I recall from TW, VTOLs fire out to the side. How does this translate to AS?

VTOLs have the exact same firing arcs as other vehicles.

For the record, I recalled VTOLs firing into the side arc because that is where the weapon was located. Such granularity does not translate to AS though.

When vehicles with side-mounted weapons get converted to Alpha Strike, the side guns get moved forward. A huge help to some designs, such as the Magi or Puma.
