Custom Missile System

I got lost down in the forums archive and found a discussion about trying to improve upon the MML system. Really, I don't think there is any reason to change up what has already been made, but I did think of somehow free-flowing the rules for missile tubes. It started out as an idea wherein the fuel for the missile was especially volatile and could cause a hyperbaric effect if enough fuel remained unspent when the warhead touched off. My main idea would be the same differing damage levels at each range without requiring multiple tons of ammo, like the ATM. I also wanted to make the system able to mount custom amounts of tubes so I broke it down so that odd (not ordinarily seen) numbers of tubes could fit. It doesn't stop at 24, I just wanted to stop there. Thechnically, you could go on to as many missile tubes as you have tons and crits for.

Below were the rules that I came up with and I was tickled pink. Being volatile, I thought the downside could be that the save rolls on ammo explosion were bumped up by +1 or 2  in the event of a crit, or overheat. Oh and the speed which the missiles flew prevents any bonus from Artemis IV. Can't give a clanner everything.

Like I said, unnecessary, but interesting.

Heat=0.33x# tubes, rounded up.
Damage Short (1-7)=2 pts/missile.
Damage Medium (8-14)=1.5 pts/ missile, rounded down.
Damage Long (15-21)=1 pts/missile.
# of missile hit rolls are as per the missile hits table.
Damage grouping=1/5 (5pts each).
