Not only the Enterprise took that way so did the Klaa's Bird of Prey and they got back to the federation with no problem.

I wonder if Sha Ka Ree (they wanted Sean Connery to play the role....note the names) was related to the Cytherians from that TNG episode where Barkley got all smart and the D traveled to the center of the galaxy and a floating head alien appeared.

I am seeing some talk that Lorca will be back . . .

. . . DUH, he dematerialized into the Sporeverse.  I think the character was pretty well played.

According to one of the novels Prime Lorca is still alive, and locked up somewhere in the Mirror Universe.  And unlike the other Trek books, the DISCO novels are considered canon unless contradicted by the shows.

I was rather disappointed he turned out to be from the Mirror universe. I thought was good to have a captain with a bit of a hard edge.

Well, yeah.  But for now that's the official line, and CBS are keeping close ties to Pocket Books and IDW- Kirsten Beyer is a staff writer on Picard and DISCO, also writes the Voyager and some of the DISCO novels, and co-writes the DISCO comics, and is a liaison between the CBS Trek writing team and the licensees.

yes, a non-youtube one. Like roosterboy provided.

There are so many youtube idiots spreading false rumors, misinformation and others I don't want to see a single one.

You could always check the link and find out it's a lawyer going over the actual case filing and explaining the copyright law behind it, I suppose.  Not quite what I'd call a "youtube idiot" myself.

One of the best in trek I think from delinquent youth being led down the wrong path by a charismatic powerful uncle to officer and war hero in Starfleet

For all the complaints about DS9 being tied to the station and then using Defiant as a vehicle, IMO it had the best character set of the Treks.

Quark, Nog, Odo (esp with Gene's wife as a foil), Garak *watches a Garak clip for fun, sigh- now I need to make a tailor for Galatea or Solaris VII*, Dukat, Weyoun, Martok, Kai Winn, Zek, Morn, O'Briens, and Bashir.

I agree. I was one those who didn't like initial episodes because space station thing. Then when writers found their footing (no because of the Defiant) i started to like it.  Initially had no access to regular television because i was serving, so i missed bunch of it anyways.  When i did, i ended up falling for Babylon 5, which at the time felt..it had better writing and offered something to me, more.

Rest in Peace, Aron Eisenberg. His talents and his presence will be missed.

DS9 was the best Trek series. The story arc(s) were the most interesting (for me) in a Trek series (loved the Dominion War - having federation klingons and romulans on the same side is priceless - little else was left to show) because it was very different than the other "exploration" series (I know it was a copy cat of Babylon 5 but I don't care).

RIP Aron.

Charismatic, yes, but would you really describe Quark as "powerful" ?

Yes, seconding the feelings toward Aron Eisenberg.  I never heard any news about whether he was going to make an appearance on the upcoming Picard series...would've been nice to know what Nog's eventual fate was, like, say, Starfleet's first (and only) Ferengi admiral.

Still, the Trek world is definitely an emptier place with his passing.

cheers,

Gabe
So, now I'm imagining people boxing up Overlords for loading as cargo.  "Nope, totally not a DropShip.  Everyone knows you can't fit a DropShip in a WarShip!  It's...a ten thousand ton box of marshmallows!  Yeah.  For the Heavy Guards big annual smores party."
--Arkansas Warrior, on the possibility of carrying Dropships as cargo in Warship cargo bays.

In Ferengi society yes he was the boss he held their money and controlled Nog and his father so he held perhaps even a stronger position in Nog's life than his father did initially

As the series developed Rom and Nog stepped out of Quarks shadow leaving his uncle and their way of life behind building their own lives breaking the cycle.

In the grand scheme of things Quark was comic relief but for a Ferengi he had power.  Of course as the FSC audited him and Brunt took a disliking things continued to change.  At the end with Rom as Negus Quark probably had influence again or at least could have claimed to through his brother

Six of them this time.  4 are set on the Enterprise with Pike, Spock and Number One, one is animated, and one will fill in the future that Discovery is heading for.
