There's a number of mechs from that era that could use a resculpt.

The Gunslinger, Lineholder, Penetrator, Kingfisher, Phantom... heck, pretty much everything from 3055 and 3058 that hasn't already gotten a resculpt.

I am jonsing for a phantom and linebacker that is semi compatable with the 3050 omni parts.

Not so much the pouncer cause i prefer the cougar, but i also won’t say no

I think it could use a larger, better detailed, and more poseable sculpt.

A linebacker using 3055U art could convince me to actually buy one.
It was just too ugly before (including horrible proportions).

Yeah, the current Linebacker mini looks like it's been chibified.

It DOES look a bit more like a Dropship with arms considering its overall shape . . . but I am not sure its really that far off from the art.

At the very least, a buddy of mine keeps asking when things open up again so he can solo-fund a resculpt Hollander. And before you ask, proxying and good enough are never things with him, so the Hollander III is not a solution.

A Gunslinger resculpt could convince me to throw money at a fan funding. Especially since it would go well in a C3 Command Lance I'm pondering for the RotS...

What's the problem with the Hollander? OK, I often do use a smaller gun, but ...

If you want to use a smaller gun, then the problem is you, not the Hollander.

I'd like it if the Hollander mini was a bit smaller. It always felt oversized to me.

EDIT: Though now that I think about it, that might actually be the Caeser's fault. Ever since I read that the two mechs use the same model gauss gun, I've felt like that the hollander was just too big.

Good news is the lab boys say the symptoms of asbestos poisoning show an immediate latency of 44.6 years. So if you're thirty or over you're laughing. Worst case scenario you miss out on a few rounds of canasta, plus you've forwarded the cause of science by three centuries. I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a happy face.

Yeah, size was his issue. This is also the guy that kitbashed a Dart into a Scarabus because that was too big, and created a 50-ton mech that he would use if gee ever wanted to use a normal Scarabus in a game(this was before any balancing system), because there was no way he'd allow a mini that big to represent a light mech.

Yeah, relative scale has been an IWM issue since ever. Stalker anyone? I'm always feeling I should use it as the 75 ton Stalker version instead of the assault. 🤣 the newer sculpts look amazing, especially the primitives! But even those have scaling issues. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Primitave Thunderbolt, but that beast could wrestle a Battlemaster and make it cry!! 😂
Easy solution is to just resign ALL of them to more modern style and stricter standards, but that's WAY too expensive! Unless one of us is a closet Billionaire who can send CGL a check for 10 million dollars???
Anyone?...

I will probably pick up mine Wednesday (when the order is in), and put it together while playing HBS that night.  Now to convince the TT group to play a 3145 match in July . . . our Con is coming up so I have a weekend of BT on the way and then we take a bit of a break.

got my q2 preorder today. while i enjoy the occasional challenging build, i like that there's been a move back toward more basic assemblies. the dasher ii and gunslinger mongoose both have one-piece lower bodies and have 5 and 4 pieces respectively. the pleasant surprise (at least for me) was that the anzu came with the variant parts for the -J70. decisions, decisions... i'll probably just end up buying a second one...

I know there isn't much love for it, but I would adore a new Sentinel sculpt. The current one looks a bit too bulbous and goofy. It's my favorite bad mech.  ;D

Yes, but all the art of the Sentinel depicts it as being bulbous and goofy, so it's at least accurate.

Most of them don't have as much of a gut as the mini (the exception being the original 3050 tro IIRC). My friend always laughs when I use that mech.

I know this may be a bit premature, but given stunning developments in the legal case (full details in its thread, but tl;dr -- Harmony Gold has agreed, pending the Judge's sign-off, to drop the case against PGI and IMR with prejudice), are any plans in motion to return the Wasp to production at IWM?

The Gunslinger will be in my next purchase, I'm sure.
