Centurion CN9-YLW

Here's a question who's answer seems lost to time, I hope you can answer it.

I found a reference to this 'Mech variant in a 1996 publication of "Record Sheets Vol2: Medium 'Mechs".  Today I purchased the PDF version of "Record Sheets: 3039 Unabridged" and found it listed as "CN9-YLW "Yen Lo Wang".  I have had more than one BattleTech fan tell me that this is not a "proper variant", and that it refers to a specific customized 'Mech that has only one example in existence.

Is there any information you can give us about the Centurion CN9-YLW?  Is it a variant of the Centurion in the same way as the CN9-A, CN9-AH, or CN9-AL?  Is it legal for tournament play?

Within the universe, there is only 1.

Absolutely. That there is only 1 in the universe doesn't prevent you from using it. Heck, use 10 at the same time if you so desire.

The only thing that prevents anything is the consensus of the players. Perhaps the intent is for everyone to pick 'Mechs that were mass produced, in which case, YLW is a bad choice.
The solution is just ignore Paul.
