Having searched the errata and found nothing I need clarification on this.
Page 85, Tac Ops, Linking Weapons.
I want to link a PPC with a medium laser(possibly many medium lasers). The target is 9 hexes away. The rule states "The to-hit number for the group is determined
according to the worst range and other modifiers in the group." Normally, that worst range/modifiers would be the long-range on the medium laser.
My GM says that since I have the rangemaster special gunnery ability(set to long range), that the worst range would be the medium band from the PPC. It makes absolutely no sense to link your weapons if this were the case. You'd be better off not linking so as not to penalize yourself on the medium laser shots, just because you want to roll less times.
Which is it with rangemaster, the medium laser or the PPC range to calculate to-hit? Thanks for any replies.
