"One ’Mech all alone, back in a corner no lamp ever brightened."
Tortuga pirate Eddie knows how to spin a good tavern tale, but Black Kevin and his strange ’Mech have a past better left untold.

A good read, though not as creepy as Lance's original story, Marauder. Nice to see a sequel to that story.

Good story, even with the "unreliable narrator" voice.
It's actually the third story featuring Kevin & The Black Marauder. The second was Kindred Soul, published in January 2012.
I wonder if there's going to be a fourth part? I feel the story isn't concluded yet, and Jal hinted at something special he had in mind for the Marauder.
Jal? O:-)

Eh, we'll see. I wrote the story at this time last year, and my mind and writing projects were in a different place then. I might revisit it in the future if I can find a good enough story idea.
With this one, I wanted to tell a pirate story that wasn't all cliched or about how noble and dashing and honorable pirates can be. They're not, and I hope I go that point across!

Greatly enjoyed this story and happy to hear there are more! Guess I better go get them!
Recommended this to all my friends as well.
