Love the miniature and a joy to paint. First time getting used to using Mig Oilbrusher paints to blend.

I really like your Other Source Lighting... I've tried it a couple of times before with mixed results.

Question: Your lighting...

Is that a filter you added in a program, or are you using a spot light... If a spotlight, how many?

Also, was your intention to fade out the background and place focus on the miniature, or were you trying to make it "dark" in an effort to bring out the OSL?

Thanks,

Caz

Thanks. The effect is done using a "Vignette" effect. Instagram has it. The contrast generated by darkening the outer edges draws the eyes to the center focal point. The fact that this miniature had OSL as well was just further accentuated by the effect.

I use it fairly frequently as my phones photo editing app has the vignette effect but in these pics I used it ata 100%

God that looks good. I've been eyeing off those oilbrushes, I think you've pushed me a little closer to pulling the trigger. Don't suppose you're thinking of putting up a vid about them?

This looks nice!

I hadn't heard of the Oilbrusher paints before.  How did you feel about using them for blending versus standard hobby paints?
