This is my first ever fully painted Battletech mini and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.  I'm just starting to get into Battletech and painting a mech is very different from painting other types of minis so this was a fun little adventure.

I've primarily done 40k minis because that's my main hobby.  I learned very quickly that they are two very different beasts when it comes to painting.  This was my first ever painted Battletech mini and I'm hoping to do this paint scheme for the minis I'm getting from the kickstarter.

If anybody is interested in doing the lava base themselves, I learned it from the Warhammer TV lava base tutorial and I've been using it on all of my stuff ever since.  Fun fact, the GW crackle paints separate more when thickly clumped than they do thinly clumped, so spread it thicker where you want it to recede more.
